Seven psychologists plus author David Ray Griffin, Ph.D., provide insights on why so many people are in total denial regarding the truth about 9/11 despite “years of hard scientific evidence that disproves the government theory about what happened on September 11.” Trauma, fear, pride, and cognitive dissonance (information that contradicts beliefs about our worldview) are among the reasons given for why people can't handle the truth about 9/11.

Below is a transcript of the key parts of the video:

Why are people resistant to looking at the hard evidence regarding 9/11?

Marti Hopper, Ph.D (Licensed Clinical Psychologist):

At this point, we have 15 years of hard scientific evidence that disproves the government theory about what happened on September 11.  Yet, people continue to be either oblivious to the fact that this information exists or completely resistant to looking at this information.  So, the question becomes: Why?

Why is it that people have so much trouble hearing this information? From my work, I think we would be remiss not to look at the impact of trauma…

As we know, the horrors of what happened on 9/11 were televised all over the world. They were televised, in fact, live.  We witnessed the deaths of almost 3,000 of our fellow Americans.  We know that this had a very severe and traumatic impact on a majority of the population.   I, myself, cried for weeks after September 11.

A friend of mine, who is a psychologist in practice here in Boulder, said that her case load increased tremendously after 9/11.  People who she had not seen in ten years were coming back into her practice.

So, I think it’s safe to say that collectively, as a nation, because of what happened on September 11, we experienced trauma.

9/11 Truth Conflicts with Our Worldview, Causing Cognitive Dissonance

Frances Shure, M.A. (Licensed Professional Counselor):

Why do people resist this information – the information that shows that the official story about 9/11 cannot be true?  What I’ve learned is that, as humans, each of us has a world view.  That worldview is usually formed, in great part, by the culture that we grow up in.

When we hear information that contradicts our worldview, social psychologists call the resulting insecurity cognitive dissonance. For example, with 9/11 we have one cognition, which is the official story of 9/11 – what our government told us, what our media repeated to us over and over – that 19 Muslims attacked us.

On the other hand, we have what scientists, researchers, architects, and engineers are now beginning to tell us, which is that there is evidence that shows that the official story cannot be true.  So now, we’ve lost our sense of security.  We are starting to feel vulnerable.  Now we’re confused.

Our Psychological Defenses Kick In When Our Beliefs Are Challenged

Robert Hopper, Ph.D. (Licensed Clinical Psychologist):

9/11 truth challenges our most fundamental beliefs about our government and about our country.  When your beliefs are challenged or when two beliefs are inconsistent, cognitive dissonance is created.  9/11 truth challenges the beliefs that our country protects and keeps us safe, and that America is the good guy….

When your beliefs are challenged, fear and anxiety are created. In response to that, our psychological defenses kick in and they protect us from these emotions.  Denial, which is probably the most primitive psychological is the one most likely to kick in when our beliefs are challenged.

It’s Easier to Deny the Truth

Danielle Duperet, PhD:

America is a powerful nation.  It has never been attacked.  We were confident.  We felt secure.  And all of a sudden, that security collapsed.  People started to be fearful with all of the rumors, with all of the news.  People didn’t know what to think, which is a very, very uncomfortable state to be in.  Eventually, our mind shuts off.   Just like when a computer is overloaded, our minds get overloaded.  We can’t handle it anymore and we shut down. It’s easier to deny it and move on with our lives.

Frances Shure, M.A. (Licensed Professional Counselor):

What some will tend to do is deny the evidence that is coming our way and stick to the original story, the official story.  We try to regain our equilibrium that way. Another thing that we can do is decide to look at the conflicting evidence and be sincere and open minded, and look at both sides of the issue.  And, then make up our own mind about what reality is.

We Will Do Just About Anything to Defend our Mental and Emotional Homes

Dorthy Lorig, M.A., Counseling Psychologist:

If we can think of our worldview as sort of being our mental and emotional home, I think that all of us will do just about anything to defend our homes, to defend our families.  I see that with people.  I saw that with myself when my brother tried to talk to me about it: “Don’t mess with me. Don’t mess with my home.  Don’t mess with my comfort with how things are.”

About a week later, I read a lengthy article by professor Griffin about why he believes the official account of 9/11 cannot be true.  It was a very well researched article.  I was in my office at the time.  I sat there and felt my stomach churning. I thought that maybe I was going to be sick. And, I leaped out my chair and ran out the door and took a long walk around the block – around several blocks – and just broke down.

I understand now that my worldview about my government being in some way my protector, like a parent, had been dashed.  It was like being cast out into the wilderness. I think that is the closest way to describe that feeling.

I sobbed and I sobbed.  I felt that the ground had completely disappeared beneath my feet.  And, I knew at some point during the walk that at some point I was going to have to become active educating other people about this.  For me to retain any sense of integrity, I was going to have to take some action.  I couldn’t just let something like this go.

9/11 Truth Challenges Our Fundamental Beliefs About the World

Robert Hopper, Ph.D. (Licensed Clinical Psychologist):

Many people respond to these truths in a very deep way.  Some have a visceral reaction like that have been punched in the stomach.  To begin to accept the responsibility that the government was involved is like opening Pandora’s Box.  If you open the lid and peak in a little bit, it’s going to challenge some of your fundamental beliefs about the world.

Initial Reactions to Hearing Contradictory Evidence about 9/11

Frances Shure, M.A. (Licensed Professional Counselor):

Following are some of those spontaneous initial reactions to hearing the contradictory evidence about 9/11:

Robert Hopper, Ph.D. (Licensed Clinical Psychologist):

I don’t want to know the truth or I will become too negative and psychologically go downhill.

I’m not sure that I want to know.  If this is true then up will be down and down will be up. My life will never be the same.

Frances Shure, M.A. (Licensed Professional Counselor):

Fran, I refuse to believe that that many Americans can be that treasonous.  Someone would have talked.

Initial Reactions are Based on BELIEFS, NOT Scientific Facts

But these are BELIEFS.  They are NOT scientific fact.  But, these beliefs do KEEP US FROM LOOKING AT THE EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE.

9/11 Truth Contradicts People's Paradigm

David Ray Griffin, Ph.D., professor/author:

You have empirical people who will simply say: look at the evidence and if it is convincing, I will change my mind.

Other people are paradigmatic people. They have a paradigm.  They say, this is the way the world works and I am convinced that this is the way that the world works.  9/11 doesn’t fit into that paradigm.  So, I don’t have to look at the evidence.  It’s paradigmatic.

And then there is a third type of person that we often call wishful thinkers.  I call it wishful and fearful thinking.  So, they simply will not believe something that they fear to be the truth.  And, I find that to be, maybe, the most powerful factor of people rejecting 9/11 truth and not even entertaining the evidence.

Frances Shure, M.A. (Licensed Professional Counselor):

The Truth is Not Bearable

So, whenever we say “I refuse to believe”, we can be sure that the evidence that’s coming our way is not bearable and it is conflicting with our worldview much too much.

Robert Hopper, Ph.D. (Licensed Clinical Psychologist):

Denial protects people from this kind of anxiety.

A Common Emotion is Fear

Frances Shure, M.A. (Licensed Professional Counselor):

As I thought about all of these responses, I realized that what is common to every one of them is emotion of fear.  People are afraid of being ostracized, they are afraid of being alienated, they are afraid of being shunned.  They are afraid of their lives being inconvenienced – they’ll have to change their lives. They are afraid of being confused.  They are afraid of psychological deterioration.  They are afraid of feeling helpless and vulnerable.  And, they are afraid that they won’t be able to handle the feelings coming up.

When Presented with the Truth, Those in Denial Become Angry, Indignant, Offended,  and Ridicule the Messenger

None of want to feel helpless and vulnerable.  So, we want to defend ourselves.   And, the way that we often do that is with anger.  Then we become angry.  And, when we become angry, then we become indignant.  We become offended.  We want to ridicule the messenger. We want to pathologize the messenger.  And, we want to censor the messenger.

Raise Awareness with Gentle Dialogue and Gentle Questioning

Robert Hopper, Ph.D. (Licensed Clinical Psychologist)

So, how can we overcome this resistance in denial?  The first thing is to meet people where they are at.

John Freedom, M.A., Personal Development Counselor:

One thing is that we need to raise people’s awareness about this – what I would call gentle dialogue and gentle questioning…  It doesn’t work to challenge people’s beliefs or immediately tell them “I know the truth about 9/11.”  A good way is to ask open ended questions that lead to open dialogue and discussion about it.

Danielle Duperet, PhD:

One of the ways to deal with the trauma is to find the answers.  That’s why I think it is of such importance to have a comprehensive investigation.

Pride is Another Reason People Deny 9/11 Truth

Robert Griffin, Licensed Psychologist:

I believe that to become the type of country that we think we are, we have to face some of the things that are not as we think they are… Thinking that we are above such things – that it could happen in other countries, but it couldn’t happen here – that’s a lack of humility.  That’s excessive pride.  As, so not being able to see our dark side or our weaknesses is the most dangerous thing.

David Ray Griffin, Ph.D:

The observation that pride is one of the basic human flaws is absolutely correct.  This is especially true for Americans because we for a long time looked at other nations and said, “They are in such bad shape.  But, luckily we don’t have those problems.  We don’t have leaders that would do those things that were done in the Soviet Union, or done in Germany, or done in Japan… This is a type of pride that Americans have.

A feature of American history that makes particularly liable to this pride is this notion of exceptionalism – that America is the exceptional nation.  That began from the beginning as this country was formed.

People would say that there was so much evil in the European countries, so much cheating, so much lying, so much using the people for the ruler’s purposes.  But not in America! We have leaders who are free from those sins.  This has made 9/11 particularly difficult for Americans.

Robert Griffin, Licensed Psychologist:

Everyone can make mistakes.  But, our ideals and our principles get us back on track.

John Freedom, M.A., Personal Development Counselor:

9/11 is One of the Defining Issues of Our Time

This is one of the defining issues of our time.

Questioning is Patriotic

Robert Griffin, Licensed Psychologist:

So, we need to understand that questioning is patriotic.  Questioning is what we are supposed to do.  That’s our duty.

The Real Perpetrators Must be Held Accountable

Frances Shure, M.A. (Licensed Professional Counselor):

When we come to the national level, when something like 9/11 happens, we need to be sure that we have a real investigation into who the perpetrators are.  And, then we need to make sure that those people are held legally accountable. It’s part of the healing process on an individual level and the collective level.

Thru my research I have learned that in America ignorance is bliss. A small percentage have taken the time to learn the truth about 911.
If you want to learn the real reason for 911. Go do a Google search, The September 11 Commission Report Revised December 2008. A 381 p. PDF document. This is not the fake 911 commission report. Please understand that this document is a report that will explain the involvement of president bush senior! It’s all about the theft of billions of dollars.

  2.' Nat Turner says:

There is NO doubt in my mind that our owners/govt. was behind 9/11.

  3.' Daniel Noel says:

Very good points indeed. I’ll add that the Master 9/11 conspirators, whoever they may be, understand very well how the human mind operates and have been cleverly using it to their advantage. The reverse truth is that 9/11 activists stand to be much more successful once they understand that the human mind is not a perfect reasoning machine and learn the basics of psychology and pedagogy.

I’ll also add that the paradigm shift of 9/11 goes way beyond the U.S. government. It is about innumerable and variegated institutions, worldwide, who could have formed a loose coalition to educate the world on 9/11’s essence but instead have been sending their gullible followers on wild goose chases after policies, such as the seemingly endless U.S.-led warmongering, that 9/11 Truth would nullify: state governments, Muslim governments, civil engineering faculties, anti-war organizations, mass media, etc. The acceptance of the twin towers’ criminal controlled demolition forces people to realize that the overwhelming majority of anti-neoconservative leaders are truly at least as neocon as the neocons. That’s a very bitter red pill . People who don’t want to swallow it are to be understood and respected. And the friendly competition is open for the best way to sweeten the bitter red pill.

  4.' Charles Gibbs says:

This is no difference then what F.D.R. did in 1914, and every body thinks he was a great man!!!!!

  5.' Thomas Statch says:

In the video, John Freeman made the most important point – of “gentle dialog” when you are trying to get someone to understand the facts behind 911. We all should know that if you say to someone, “You’re F stupid – Here’s the 911 truth” then that person will feel insulted and he will never want to listen to you. The gentle dialog involves respecting their logic, and giving them a door out of their box which they choose, not you forcing them out of their box. Example: So many people think that all Muslims attacked us on 911. Use their emotions and get them to feel empathy for the millions of Muslims who haven’t. Say, “I feel bad for those poor villagers in the mountains of Afghanistan who are getting blamed and killed because of 911.” If they agree, you’ve made the first tiny baby step forward. If you come right out and say, “Some Israli’s planned this with help from insiders in the CIA so they can get the USA to fight the Iragis for them” well, that’s too much for them to swallow at once.

  6.' L says:

The metamorphosis of tiny Israel from a midget to a giant is in the making. The grand design of Judaic-Zionist expansionist doctrine is to seize all the oil-rich lands from the shores of the Euphrates to the banks of the Nile.
In defining the aims of Zionism, Hebrew scholar Levnoch Osman said: “In our eternal Book of Books (the Torah), the lofty ethical teachings of which are cherished by all mankind, the land of Israel is described not as a long, narrow strip of land with wavy, crooked borders, but as a state with broad natural borders. God has promised to Patriarch Abraham the following:
“I give unto them the land where they have sown their seed, from the river of Egypt unto the great river of Euphrates’ (Genesis 15:18). And so, in order to realize the words of this prophecy, the Israeli state had to continue, not in the borders it has today but within its broad historical boundaries.”
In1952 Moshe Dayan, the present Israeli defense minister, declared:
“Our task consists of preparing the Israeli army for the new war approaching in order to achieve our ultimate goal, the creation of an Israeli empire.”
The British historian Arnold J. Toynbee, stated the Zionist aims in these words:
We are Jews, the living representatives of Judah, one of the 12 tribes of Israel that conquered most of Palestine in the 13th century B.C. We held Judah’s share of the conquered territory for seven centuries, till we were deported by Nebuchadnezzar in 587 B.C. We were back again within less than half a century, and we then held Judea, once more, for the next 773 years, till we were evicted by the Romans in A.D. 135. We have never renounced our claim to the land of Israel. We have always hoped, believed, and proclaimed that we shall get this land back again. It is our land, we contend.
After another 1,883 years we did recover a foothold there in 1918, and during the half-century since then, by devoted hard work, ability and military valor, we have built up our present national State of Israel, and have inflicted three smashing defeats on the Arabs, who have been trying to evict us again.
We want to have a country of our own again, like other peoples and like our own ancestors. We also need to have a country of our own, because, since the conversion of the Roman Empire to Christianity in the fourth century A.D., we have been penalized and persecuted by the Western Christian majority among whom we have had to live.
The persecution has culminated in the unprecedented crime of genocide, which has been committed against us in our lifetime by a Western people, the Germans, in Europe. We are not going to let the Arabs commit the same crime of genocide against us here, in our own land of Israel.
Apologist Toynbee omitted mentioning the fact that the Jews themselves are currently engaged in genocide. During the 6-Day War, Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Dayan ordered Brig. Gen. Yesha’ahu Gavish, the Israeli commander of the Sinai campaign, to ruthlessly drive the hapless Egyptian troops into the Sinai Desert to die of thirst, hunger and heat. Temperature on the arid Sinai rise to more than 100 degrees during the day. For over two weeks thousand of wretched Egyptian stragglers wandered over the swirling wastes finally drop dead in their tracks.
U.S. reconnaissance planes flying on the perimeter of the Sinai Desert took hundreds of pictures of the stragglers and reported there were 50,000 Egyptians dead or dying on the desert at the time. The U.S. Air Force loaded 60,000 gallons of water in five-gallon jerry-cans on pallets and prepared to drop them in the area where stragglers were observed.
However, Defense Secretary Robert McNamara ordered the projected mission of mercy halted after he received phone calls from White House foreign policy-planner Walt Rostow and UN Ambassador Arthur Goldberg.
This flagrant violation of the Geneva Convention on the treatment of prisoners of war amounted to genocide, designed to destroy a whole nation.
Newspaper reporters visiting the war zones in Syria and Jordan reported that if one sniper in a village fired on Israeli troops, the whole village was destroyed including the women and children. Napalm is frequently used.
This systematic extermination is an ideological doctrine of Zionism. The leading exponent of genocide is the chauvinist Moshe Dayan, whom the Zionists have proclaimed a Biblical “messiah” on a white horse. Arrogant, boastful Gen. Yitzhak Rabin, chief of the Israeli General Staff, who plotted and executed the Six-Day blitzkrieg last June, was in direct charge of the projected expansionist program from the Euphrates to the Nile.
The scope of this ambitious scheme of territorial seizures and exploitation has been recognized by at least a few American military strategists for years. An Army lieutenant colonel, who was a student at the War College, confined that some of his instructors believed the Zionist expansionist policy would provide the spark to ignite World War III.
(Incidentally, this lieutenant colonel went on to be one of the top commanding generals in Vietnam.)
By guile, treachery and bloodletting, the Zionists plotted to annex all of Jordan, virtually all of Syria, half of Iraq and a large part of Saudi Arabia and all of the rich cotton lands of the Nile Valley. It would be a simpler matter then to grab Yemen, Aden, Muscat, Qatar and Oman with their rich oil development. Israel is already well advanced in the development of its first nuclear warhead.

    •' suzie says:

Just because you believe something does not make it true. Your comment loses all creditability when you include facts that have no basis in reality and are fabricated to support your argument which is really just hate of Israel. Genocide by the Jewish state to any Muslim country is ludicrous. Genocide is a decline in population with extinction the desired result. The population of Egypt in 1955 was 23,656,216 population in 2016. 93,383,574 no genocide evidence there. The palestinian refugees in 1948 were estimated around 750,000 today there are over 8million. Stop regurgitating bs.

    •' selfcentered says:

You are evil, or ignorant. It’s almost amusing you use the term genocide to describe the Israelis and palestinians, almost. 1948 there are an estimated 800,000 refugees, today there are over 8million claiming right of return. Israel would have to be totally incompetent, the worst attempt in history to commit genocide, or you’re full of BS and spreading propaganda like they are facts. For one, to commit genocide on the Palestinians israel would have to kill every muslim on contenant because, the Palestinians are not any different in language or culture than the jordanians muslim syrians egyptians etc. Stop being a d!p$h!t, please.

  7.' John Joline says:

At this late date (nearly December 2014), the greater tragedy is — as the Buggles sang — “We can’t rewind/ We’ve gone too far.” The powers-that-be will never allow the truth to be widely known until perhaps a century (or more) has passed, for the following reasons: The U.S. media — NY Times, et al. — will never be able to explain why they have been nearly 100% silent for 13 years on 9/11 Truth issues. Exposure of possible complicity on the part of a close U.S. ally or allies would terribly damage or destroy those alliances; this will never be allowed. If the truth were to be revealed, the U.S. would be obliged to pay reparations in unthinkable amounts — perhaps tens of trillions of dollars. Some of our highest public former officials would have to be prosecuted as “accessories after the fact” — if not “before the fact;” this would be unthinkable. Therefore the official 9/11 narrative from “our” side will remain in perpetual conflict with the 9/11 narrative from “their” side (i.e., since large numbers of those in the Muslim world know the truth of 9/11). And thus, since perception is everything in human affairs, the stage is set for “the forever war,” to use Dexter Filkin’s phrase. One wishes it were otherwise, but it’s hard to escape the likelihood or inevitability of this tragic scenario.

[I have just finished reading “Pay Any Price: Greed, Power, and Endless War” by James Risen. He argues that the immense profits being made from both our overseas military actions and so-called “security” here at home create an additional powerful incentive to maintain the status quo. Also relevant: I recall a video of a David Ray Griffin lecture entitled, if memory serves, “9/11: Should the Truth be Revealed or Concealed?” Griffin says that one reason the powers-that-be might espouse concealment of the truth is the fear that its revelation could trigger an international financial meltdown.]

  8.' oscar smitt says:

The buildings of 9-11 are a ruse. There were no commercial plane crashes on 9-11. Of course there were demolitions at all 7 buildings of the WTC because there was no jet fuel because there were no commercial plane crashes on 9-11. To this day NOT ONE single piece of debris has been verified physically by anyone on earth. Sound familiar WMD’s? Torpedoes at Gulf of Tonkin? Etc, etc, etc, etc, etc?

There were no commercial plane crashes on 9-11 which means there is no “terror” from Saudi Arabians, no free media, and certainly no murderous Islamic religion. The Christian military state has murdered millions based on staged lies. In the future christianity will be punishable by death.

    •' DiamondJim says:

The buildings were obviously controlled demolitions. Airplanes obviously crashed into them, most likely military drones. The “no planes” theory is an attempt to discredit the 9/11truth movement, because it’s complete nonsense. Focus on building 7, the molten metal, and lack of air defenses in the most protected airspace in the world.

  9.' A.Wright says:

    Quote Marti Hopper
“At this point we have 9 years of hard scientific
evidence that disproves the Government theory
about what happen on 9/11, yet people continue
to be either oblivious to the fact that this information
exists or completely resistant to looking at
this information. So the questions becomes why.”

No it doesn’t. You are getting ahead of yourself.
Who says you have proven anything? Marti Hopper?
And what exactly is proof?’ Is evidence proof?
Is ‘information’ proof? The blythe complacent ‘we know the truth’
way these people talk about 911 is mirrored in how peplexed
they are that other people don’t agree with them.
How could that happen? There must be an explanation.
It can’t be because what they believe may not be true.
They have ruled that out. So off they go trying to explain
what is wrong with all those other people who are not
as convinced as they are. What could it be? It’s trauma, it’s denial,
it’s cognitive dissonance etc. That’s when people look at evidence and
think ‘I don’t believe that because I don’t think that is a plausible
or credible theory’. What they are supposed to do then is to overcome
their resistance to believe it and ..well, believe it. Be brave like us and
believe this thing that you don’t think is believable. The way to do this
is to adjust your world view and change your idea of what is plausible until
the things you thought were not plausible, become plausible.

    •' Sorgfelt says:

Right back at you. The denial is that of those who believe the official lie. I know better. I have lived and worked with the sorts of people who crafted this. I haven’t earned my degree in physics for nothing. But it shouldn’t take a STEM degree. Tell me this: If you saw these buildings fall and no official told you anything about it, would you really believe that airplanes made these buildings collapse the way they did?

  10.' Sorgfelt says:

Those who choose to believe the official story have no proof. They have warped explanations. What deniers have is faith in people who have demonstrably lied to us repeatedly for at least the last fifty years.

As an example, I have seen a photo of the Pentagon immediately after the airplane supposedly hit it, punched through a reinforced concrete wall deliberately constructed to prevent just such an intrusion, and all of the way through to the other side of three more inner rings. The photo shows the floor above the first floor still there, even after an airplane bigger than that supposedly going through it, while somehow bypassing a few large spools of wire and the front lawn. Physical impossibility does not imperil the faith of a denier. A miracle has occurred! Who in the U.S. government shall we crown as the new messiah? I have worked in the Pentagon and CIA and have personally known people in military intelligence. In spite of several of them being recorded smelling cordite and witnessing multiple explosions at the wrong time, they can all be discounted, because, well, faith and miracles trumps reason every time.

  11.' A.Wright says:

Immediately after the plane hit the Pentagon there was a 90 foot wide hole in the ground floor. The pictures are available that show it. On the floor above there is a 16 ft diameter hole in the centre of the 90 foot wide ground floor hole. There was a cut 30 feet deep into the building into the reinforced floor slab between the two floors. Inside the Pentagon the first two floors are not divided by reinforced walls , all the way to the C ring there are only interior dividing walls. There were people outside the Pentagon when the plane hit the building. The controller in the heliport watched the plane go all the way into the building and explode. I don’t know why someone who arrived after the event and says they smelled cordite is a witness but the scores of people who were there and witnessed what happened, are ignored.

  12.' Sorgfelt says:

OK. I couldn’t find the picture I saw, but saw enough similar that I agree it was a misinterpretation. The plane apparently did hit the Pentagon. I know that such a plane dived towards it, because my wife saw it go by her in Crystal City, she just couldn’t see it hit, due to buildings obscuring her line of sight. But I saw plenty of reports of eye witnesses who saw it hit, and I can’t believe they were all paid off or lying.

However, there are plenty of things that don’t add up, and I don’t think that one plane was the whole story, just as in the twin towers, the planes were only part of the story. There were eyewitnesses and photographic evidence and parts evidence of a smaller drone hitting the helipad quite a distance to the left of the airliner. There was one analysis of the light poles proving the they the path of the plane according to eyewitnesses did not match the path that would have downed the light poles, along with an interview of the cab driver saying the pole that went through his cab was downed the night before and he was to keep quiet about it. There were eyewitness reports of explosions at various places in that wing of the Pentagon at different times than that of the airplane collision. And the claims that the office engaged in auditing the missing expenditures had its computer files destroyed is fishy. I worked on large computer systems in the Pentagon, and it is possible that only terminals and not the actual computers were hit and the data is still intact somewhere. The Pentagon attack is a lot messier than the WTC, which I am 100% certain was a controlled demolition for many reasons other than the obvious.

  13.' A.Wright says:

I have to say my take on this whole thing about the Penatgon ,and the WTC as well, is that a short time after September 11th that a lot of things were coming out on the internet , videos like Loose Change for instance etc. ( it can still be seen on Youtube for instance here)
If you watch the section about the Pentagon, knowing the actual facts, I can only say it is a totally distorted and misleading version of the event. This was actually shown in cinemas and seen by millions of people not only in the US but in other parts of the world as well and if you present people with a distorted misrepresentation of the facts like that it is very difficult to actually get them to re-assess the evidence and come to different conclusions.

  14.' Sorgfelt says:

I believe in having an open mind and being flexible enough to change it when new information or analyses say things are different than what one has thought. I know it is often not easy. I also don’t believe in discounting and ignoring things that don’t fit one’s theories. It is one of my biggest gripes with many practicing scientists and a minor reason for my leaving physics. It is also a major gripe I have with the NIST report, which I have read, or anyone saying those magic words: “there is no evidence”. There never is, if you refuse to look.

  15.' A.Wright says:

Having an open mind is I think vital, and in terms of the 9/11 truth movement there are a number of things that work against it, including what these psychiatrists put forward in this video. They are telling 911 truth people that the reason other people don’t agree with their assessment of 9/11 is likely due to some psychological hang-ups they have. That’s a real invitation to people not to question their own beliefs and not to have an open mind. They are giving this professional diagnosis of people who don’t agree with them and basically using it as further evidence that they are right. It’s an invitation to kind of hide behind this ‘expert opinion’ and quote these people in defence of these theories about 911, when the things they say actually apply to themselves. They are also people and subject to the same hang-ups that they describe in others. As 911 truth people they also have their world view and are subject to cognitive dissonance and trauma just like everyone else. The fact that people they try to convince find it hard to believe these theories about 9/11 doesn’t mean they are true. Otherwise we could just say ‘If you find something hard to believe then it must be true’

These people need to have their licenses to practice revoked. They are doing damage.

    •' Sorgfelt says:

If you believe the official story, you need to have your head examined – maybe by a good psychologist such as these. There are lots of theories. Some may be a bit far out. They can’t be all correct. But I know one thing that most people can agree on – those buildings came down as a result of planned, controlled demolition. If you don’t see that, you either don’t understand much of mechanical engineering or physics or controlled demolition, or you have a problem with believing authority even when they tell you lies, or maybe both. I have worked in government and big organizations enough to know how much people are capable of going with the flow against their knowledge of what is right.

  17.' Walt Peretto says:

Conventionalist Emotional Characteristic (CEC): An emotionally based sociopolitical mental characteristic and potential personality disorder rooted in the political psyche. People with CEC emotionally defend the conventions, institutions, and sanctioned political thought established by their political/social engineers against anyone who questions, challenges, criticizes, or attempts to disprove the legitimacy of these established conventional assumptions. CEC is thought to be acquired during social mental development by people who are possibly extra-predisposed to suggestion and eventually develop a deeply ingrained and binding emotional attachment to conventional sociopolitical assumptions. The impetus of the development of CEC is indoctrination and then inculcation from officially controlled state information sources which eventually establishes trust of these sources as presumed fact without reasonable verification. Physiologically, the symptoms of CEC are triggered by a conditioned response when sociopolitical conventionality is challenged by the expression of independent, non-sanctioned, non-government thought, investigation, research, and analysis, which creates dissonance and instantaneous reaction to relieve dissonance which is usually manifested by the use of dismissive language or gesture, evoking and repeating official disinformation, seeking support from others who share the conventional beliefs, avoidance or abortion of confrontation, or by the use of belligerent ad hominem attacks. This process is sometimes known as belief disconfirmation paradigm.

Hello! I’ve been reading your weblog for a long time now and finally got the courage to go ahead and give you a shout out from Kingwood Texas!
Just wanted to tell you keep up the good job!

  19. Hard for some to give up the dream that is America.

  20. Zionists backed America is really the worst cancer germ like Israil. They can even destroy rest of the world to meet their evil objects.

    • Cal Fidler Cal Fidler says:

You can’t even spell the name of the country you believe is repressing you so much? Cancer Germ? What is that? Get educated before trying to make a point genius. Or at least learn to write and speak in a language of the countries you’re trying to desecrate with you Bullshit ideals.

  21. Governments are a cancer in this world. We should rule ourselves.

  22.' zef rose says:

“I refuse to believe that that many Americans can be that treasonous. Someone would have talked.”

This is one of my personal favorites. I have heard it again and again from many people.
Of course, the answer to this statement is this:
They DO talk. Thousands of them. They’re all over the internet.
    The response is then:
Oh, the INTERNET. The internet is full of crazies and idiots.
    To which I respond:
“Okay, so it is, but it is also full of people trying desperately to get through to people like you, because the networks and all the “official” and “legitimate” news sources are all owned and controlled by entities with a vested interest in keeping you ignorant of the truth.”
    Ending with:
“Oh so you’re one of THOSE people.”
“You are so easily taken in by that crap.”
“So how do you know what to believe?”
Of course all of those comments can easily be dealt with by referring the person to the actual evidence from which I myself derived my conclusions, but by now it is useless, because it has become clear that they will do literally anything to hold on to their state-crafted belief system,
which is easier than actually thinking about it.
So they politely say something like this:
“I know you are very passionate about this, but I am just not as invested as you are, and I have so many other things to think about right now.”

  23. USA is losing more and more credibility and must be very ashamed because ‘we’ ,the rest of the world, are very worried with what’s happening.

  24. Mayse Vila Mayse Vila says:

The sad thing is over million people have killed in Middle East because of this and no one talk about it. I pray for everyone.

  25. It’s nearly impossible and absolutely beyond basic human comprehension to believe that a government can kill their own people. It’s not to say that that isn’t what happened, and there are in my opinion too many coincidences, but it doesn’t surprise me that anyone with a basic sense of humanity would have a hard time accepting a reality that may well and truly be very harsh.

  26. I think you’ve nailed it!! The evidence supporting a huge inside job is irrefutable. The implications of that being the case point to a darkness in places of immense power that is hard to get your head around!
Hence most folks just choose not to acknowledge the painful facts.

  27. Ivan Powell Ivan Powell says:

The facts are so simple that so called brains can’t handle it. Some middle-east radicals after careful planning hijacked airliners and flew them into the World Trade Center in NYC. That was their target. A Muslim cleric was imprisoned for trying to blow the place up earlier with a bomb hidden in a truck. This time the terrorists made no mistakes. They were successful in their endeavor……Some people just can’t accept this and they are coming up with all sorts of conspiracy theories…….so sad…

    • Geoff Heard Geoff Heard says:

My latest conspiracy theory Ivan Powell, is that George Bush Jnr could arrive at your place, write out in triplicate a full confession and you STILL wouldn’t get it because you don’t WANT to believe that your government MURDERED it’s own people essentially for pecuniary gain!! Guess what? It fucking happened, deal with it!!! Muslims with box cutters did not hijack, then fly with unearthly precision, pax jets into the towers. The towers were demolished with people still in them. Deliberately. That is mass murder and treason. Hanging is too good for them.

  28. We need the truth alright. Keep questioning.

  29. Wowers. You people are complete fucking idiots!
