In this brilliant Ted Talk and performance, Sheila Kelley the creator of the pole dancing phenomenon know as “S Factor” guides us toward what she believes is the next wave of the feminine movement: the reclamation of the feminine body.
She shares her own story of finding her way back to her own natural femininity and sexuality, and shows us how the patriarchal focus of our culture divorces women from their own body and essence.

Stating some pretty alarming statistics, Kelly shows how women across the globe often have little control over how they can feel about their own body, or what they can do it. From stoning, to rape, to genital mutilation, atrocities are being perpetuated against women across the globe every day, and it is hurting all of us.

If you can’t conceive of how pole dancing and feminism can be connected, watch this video and see if your perception shifts.
