Dolphins have been dying along the Gulf Coast and marine biologists have been stonewalled by the U.S. government in their quest for answers. After tissue samples and specimens had been collected by biologists from the National Marine Fisheries Service they were told to keep their data under wraps. A letter was produced for scientists by the agency advising them that the dolphin deaths are a UME (unusual mortality event) and have put under the jurisdiction of a federal criminal investigation.

The New York Times has reported that energy, technology, and defense giant General Electric paid no U.S. taxes for 2010 and even got $3.2 billion in tax benefits. The corporate tax rate goes up to 35% but through loopholes and lobbying G.E. managed to get a healthy rebate. President Obama had hired GE’s CEO to lead his Council on Jobs and Competitiveness.
