Your Health According to Your Zodiac Sign

Your personal wellness depends on many factors: your genetics, your environment, your exercise levels and your diet. However, too many people ignore their body’s predisposition toward health as dictated by the stars and planets. Many awakened minds have recognized the patterns of zodiac within personality types, romantic relations and career pursuits, and it is time to acknowledge that astrology has medical associations, as well.

If you can’t seem to get well, it might be ignorance of the zodiac. You should research your sun and moon signs and then take steps to improve your overall health using the following guide.

Ariens are driven by their ambitions, but self-inflicted physical and mental stress takes a toll on their noggins. Aries rules the head, brain and face, so often Ariens suffer from migraine pain — or worse, mental illness like depression. Ariens should seek sufficient stimulation to avoid depressive states and regulate their diet to prevent headaches.

Moving down the body as we move through the zodiac calendar, Taurus governs the ears, neck and throat. Though Taureans can be fine singers, they are often brought low by severe colds, earaches and sore throats. Thus, Taureans should know their home remedies for sore throat and boost their immune systems to prevent against irksome illness.

Thanks to their twin personalities, Geminis are subject to nervousness and anxiety — but the Gemini sign truly rules over the lungs, shoulders, arms and hands. Their garrulous nature often brings respiratory troubles on Geminis, and over-exuberant body language can throw the neck out of alignment. To be safe, Geminis should migrate to environments with clean air and take plenty of rest.

Cancerians tend to be overly emotional, and to console themselves, many turn to unhealthy food. Unfortunately, this usually results in digestive trouble (at best) and obesity (at worst) because Cancer is associated primarily with the stomach. Cancerians should watch what they eat, perhaps trusting a registered dietitian to guide their nutrition.

Fiery Leos put all their energy into their heart and blood, often resulting in high blood pressure and similar cardiovascular troubles. Some Leos also suffer from back ailments because the sign rules the spine, too. It is most important for Leos to remember to cool down, perhaps practicing meditation to control their hot natures.

As naturally graceful as Virgos tend to be, they also suffer from crippling body dysmorphic disorders. More than other signs, Virgos are ruled by their abdomens and intestines, which often means they struggle to maintain a healthy weight due both to eating disorders and ailments like ulcers or IBS. Often, others do not recognize Virgos’ pain because of their modesty, so it is important for Virgos to be open and honest about their experience.

Another sign plagued with digestive trouble, Libra governs the kidneys, so dehydration is a serious and common problem for Librans. This issue typically manifests as diarrhea or constipation, but it can be easily overcome with appropriate water intake. Additionally, Librans should manage their diets strictly, filtering out rich foods and those with dehydrating effects.

Scorpios might notice their sex hormones ebbing and flowing with greater chaos and intensity than other signs. This is because Scorpio is associated with the ovaries and testes, the centers of female and male reproductive systems. Scorpios should be careful to practice safe sex to avoid STIs, and they should schedule regular exams to identify potential down-there conditions, like endometriosis or enlarged prostates.

Sagittarians are notoriously curious and energetic to a fault, so they often succumb to unfortunate accidents. Sagittarius’s primary focus is vision, so Sagittarians should be careful to protect their eyes wherever they go. Shatter-proof lenses, UV shades floppy hats and more can work wonders to keep Sagittarians seeing clearly for years to come.

Though Capricorns are more likely to have perfect posture due to their controlled and practical natures, they are also more likely to suffer broken bones, osteoporosis, arthritis and similar conditions. This is because Capricorn rules over bones and joints. Obtaining enough dietary calcium and vitamin D, avoiding high-acid foods and shunning dangerous footwear (like heels) are good starts to health.

Aquarians either display effortless grace or inescapable clumsiness; there is no in-between thanks to the sign’s emphasis on the lower half. Aquarius is associated with legs and ankles, so Aquarians should be diligent about building strength and coordination down below or else suffer the consequences: varicose veins, stiffness and worse.

The last in the zodiac year – but certainly not the least – wet Pisces is associated with feet. Thus, Pisceans often suffer from foot pain and problems like corns, bunions and athlete’s foot. For some reason, Pisces is also closely related to the peripheral nervous system, so Pisceans should pay attention to their reflexes and muscle response to detect potential problems early.
