November 2026: A Month of Intense Planetary Movement
November is a very active, intense month, with much planetary movement. Jupiter begins its transit through the fire sign of Leo for several months. Venus and Mercury, both retrograde at the beginning of the month, go direct the same day, November 13. Three planets, Jupiter, Mars, and Ketu, transit the sensitive gandanta degrees between Cancer and Leo in this month. Mars transits its exact degree of debility on November 8 and 9 and conjuncts Ketu on November 14. And a major astrological event occurs on November 25, 2026, when the nodes, Rahu and Ketu, change signs.
Jupiter Enters Leo
Jupiter, the great benefic, is now transiting the fixed fire sign of Leo for only a few months, until January 24, 2027. In addition, Jupiter will only travel from 0 to 2 degrees while in Leo, which are gandanta degrees (cusp from water to fire sign). Gandanta means “knot,” and when planets pass through these junctures, we are given opportunities for deeper soul growth and the possibility to heal lessons from the past. Some Jupiter issues that can surface to overcome can include financial or money issues, humanitarian concerns, and trusting our innate wisdom.
Jupiter in the extroverted sign of Leo also brings more confidence and outgoing energies. We want to be more self-expressive and creative. But watch focusing too much on ourselves, overdoing things, lacking proper perspective, or not seeing the consequences of our actions.
Jupiter Conjuncts Ketu
From November 10 to 13, 2026, Jupiter conjuncts Ketu at 1 degree Leo. That can bring deeper spiritual energies, so it’s a positive time for meditation practices and inner work.
Mercury Goes Direct
Mercury, planet of communications and the intellect, goes direct on November 13, 2026, at 10 degrees Libra, having been retrograde since October 24, 2026. As Mercury begins to slowly move in forward, we experience greater mental clarity and awareness.
Venus Goes Direct
Venus, planet of relationship and finance, began its retrograde motion in its own sign of Libra on October 3, 2026, and eventually retrogrades back to Virgo, its sign of debility, on November 5, 2026. Then, on November 13, Venus finally goes direct at 28 degrees Virgo.
During the retrograde phase of Venus, we reviewed our relationships, financial status, and focused on our true values in life. When Venus goes direct, it’s a positive time invest in relationships that are authentic, committed, and add meaning to our lives. On November 22, 2026, Venus then re-enters its more favorable sign of Libra.
Mars Leaves Cancer
Mars ends its transit through its debilitated sign of Cancer and moves to Leo on November 12, 2026. But while Mars still transits Cancer, we can experience less energy and feel frustrated or combative. And before Mars leave this water sign, it transits its degree of total debility at 28 degrees Cancer on November 8 and 9, 2026.
And like Jupiter, Mars will transit the gandanta degrees of Cancer and Leo as its shifts signs. Especially sensitive days are from November 10 to 14, a good time to let go of old, ancient anger patterns, disappointments, and hurts, and face any challenges with understanding, sensitivity, and neutrality.
Mars Conjuncts Ketu
In addition, on November 14, Mars will exactly conjunct the south node Ketu, two fiery, combustible planets, a time to practice self-restraint and stay centered and grounded.
Rahu and Ketu Change Signs
On November 25, 2026, the nodes of the Moon, Rahu and Ketu, shift signs, using true node positions, a major astrological event. Rahu, the north node, moves from Aquarius to Capricorn, and Ketu, the south node, moves from Leo to Cancer. Remember, the nodes always move backward.
This marks a new cycle of karmic lessons as the nodes now are in new signs for the next 18 months, remaining in Capricorn and Cancer until May 24, 2028.
The nodes of the Moon represent many of our karmic challenges, so now we are presented with new energies to work with, involving the signs of Capricorn and Cancer. As the nodes shift signs, we can feel a bit uneasy or confused as new lessons now begin to present themselves.
Rahu in Capricorn
Rahu, the north node, transiting the Saturn-ruled sign of Capricorn, is a very strong placement. On the positive side, we can become more goal-oriented and practical, take on more responsibilities, and work hard! So watch for any workaholic tendencies, and plan some time off for relaxation and play.
Rahu in the earth sign of Capricorn can be interested foreign or alternative ventures, including environmental issues. It’s a time to be realistic and practical, and face one’s lessons in a focused and discipline way.
Ketu in Cancer
Ketu, the south node, represents moksha, or spiritual liberation, and also rules the past. Cancer is a water sign ruled by the Moon, so our mental, emotional, and feeling nature can go through very deep transformation.
And as Ketu shifts signs, it goes through gandanta degrees from Leo to Cancer. This can be a positive transit to heal old emotional wounds and forgive and surrender past hurts. Don’t be fearful of feelings and memories that surface, as they are rising to be healed and released.
Cancer is a sign that rules the home and family, so this can be a positive transit to heal past family and ancestral karmas, and realize we are all interconnected here on planet Earth.
Summary
November 2026 is an intense and transformative month in Vedic astrology, marked by significant planetary shifts and opportunities for spiritual growth.
