Thrive

Expand your consciousness and experience less suffering, greater health and peace of mine. The cells in our bodies resonate with higher frequencies. They also respond quickly and can restore quickly. The subconscious mind runs silently in the background and its programming influences our thoughts. Our thoughts can lead us on a rampage by this programming. What can we do about this? We must rewrite the software. Many times thoughts keep us stuck and powerless. We must update our software! Just as cells in a Petri dish can change when their environment is changed, so can we.

When we see happiness as something to be obtained, or a state that we’ll eventually reach once certain other things fall into place, we put ourselves in a place of constant distance from it. When we are always in a state of chasing happiness, we fail to realize that happiness is always right here in this moment, just waiting for us to simply tune into it.

We can name off all of our favorite things, all of the things that might get on our nerves and everything in between, but do our likes and dislikes really define us? How about all of the material possessions we’ve worked so hard to accumulate over the years? Where does “out there” (as in the world around us) end and “in here” (as within ourselves) begin?

Solitude as meditation is the preeminent psychological entrance, the perennial crossroads, the existential gap. It can be an exponentially progressive spiral –a place where all roads begin and all roads end, where all doors open and all doors close. Solitude allows us to reconnect with the sacred. We are free to leave behind the hare-brained ferocity of civilization with the tortoise-mind serenity of nature. #solitude #meditation
