Astrology Overview for May 14-20, 2018

This weeks New Moon in the sign of Taurus, is particularly blessed because the semi-sextile it forges with Venus, the ruler of Taurus, in the sign of Gemini. If we take the Sun as being the 1st House this week, Venus therefore is located in the 2nd House, which in itself is a very Taurus influence, therefore the next month can be a time to really enjoy all the good things in life, be those that cost nothing, or cost quite a lot! Of course there is a lot of uncertainty influencing the financial markets, with trade wars, impositions of tariffs, Brexit, and the debt bubble, so it doesn’t necessarily follow that we are all going to be suddenly swimming in a sea of loot, life and astrology just aren’t that simple. However, the chance to really enjoy the things that are special to us, be this be home-grown vegetables, home cooked food, or more expensive choices or material items, or full-on sensual pleasures it certainly can be a fascinating month that follows, and with the Gemini dimension too one which can see plenty of mixing and mingling going on too.

However this week’s other two major pieces of news, occur on Wednesday when Mars shifts in the sign of Aquarius, for an extended stay through till mid November (all but for two weeks in Capricorn) and Uranus ingress into the sign of Taurus, through ’till November the 6t both succedent zodiac signs. Now, of course these two have been in a challenging a right angle the last two weeks, and this will continue through to the 26th of May. But whereas before both Angular zodiac signs, or Cardinal, known for their leadership qualities, now they move into Fixed signs. Uranus moving into Taurus is particularly interesting, because of course Taurus is all about stability, but even those Bulls with a great love of set routines, and especially those born at the very start of Taurus, will, over the next 6 months find themselves much more restless and in the mood to kick over the traces and be a freer spirit. However, the progressiveness of Mars in the sign of Aquarius, can lead to some very rebellious attitudes, and may see a big shakeup in certain elements of our existence, and especially where these influences make contact with any Natal, Secondary or Directed planetary positions in our personal horoscopes. So, this week is going to be quite a rollercoaster, but it’s unlikely to be dull!
