This week, we begin a new series where we look at the 5 main rights of each chakra. I love talking about the rights of a chakra, because rights are something we feel inclined to claim and when we claim them, our chakras open more.
From the time we are born until the end of our seventh year, our caregivers and the conditions of our life subconsciously indoctrinate us and create our core beliefs. In other words, the unconscious foundation for our beliefs and behaviors are mostly laid down during this period.
But during this root chakra period, each year emphasizes the development of a different chakra like this:
Age 1 = root + root
Age 2 = root + sacral
Age 3 = root + solar plexus
Age 4 = root + heart
Age 5 = root + throat
Age 6 = root + third eye
Age 7 = root + crown
If we are properly cared for during each of these foundational years and our basic needs are met, we develop the capacity to claim all of our chakra rights. If we aren’t properly cared for at this time and are basic chakra needs are not met, then we may not even be aware that we have a certain chakra right. The cool thing is that, as an adult, we can learn about our chakra rights and consciously claim them.
Here are the rights of your root chakra:
- TO BE
- TO BELONG (on this earth and part of a tribe/family)
- TO FEEL SAFE
- TO BE STABLE
- TO HAVE
These are the rights I’ve chosen for the top 5, but you may certainly add any of your own here on my Youtube Channel.
As a little home-play assignment, pick the one right you think you most need to claim and find a way to claim it every day this week.
If you do it diligently enough, you’ll create a healthy, new habit.
Enjoy!
Love and blessings,
Vicki
