Recently a friend posted on FB the negative aspects of 5G. My immediate thought: Fear is the greatest threat to our health and well-being. But can we just ‘will’ fear away? Willing something is part of our intellect and yes, knowledge has organizing power, yet it is only part of the equation. The other half is heart, the seat of emotions, feelings, and the subconscious. The heart is the essence of our higher self.
What are some tips to overcome fear?
One of the most profound ways is to learn to live in the present moment. Learn (intellect) Live (heart).
One of my favorite ways is to listen to music without any emotional connection. An emotional connection could be something that triggers memories for you. It takes your mind elsewhere, rather than being present. I usually choose music without words, since words can also trigger emotions. Then ‘use’ the music as background when doing certain tasks. For me this would be: cooking, cleaning, writing, creating. Often I can be in the present moment without music and that is a cultivated habit. So practice, practice living in the present moment with music.
Another effective way to live in the present moment is to choose and focus on a word/s without emotional connection. One of my favorites is the Sanskrit: Sat, Chit, Ananda. Sat means “absolute existence” or “truth.” Chit is the principle of knowing – of being conscious or aware. Ananda indicates the qualities of joy, fulfillment, and love in their transcendent form. Altogether, Sat Chit Ananda describes the full reality of our true Self, who we really are: Truth, Consciousness, Bliss.
Combine a mantra with conscious breathing and the present moment is with you. If you notice your mind wandering, go back to the mantra and breathe. It’s easy and with practice becomes effortless. Most of us cannot stop the mind chatter, but we certainly can get back on track as soon as we are aware. Becoming aware is the key to living in the present moment.
Connect with Another Conscious Being
How about a rock? The crystal world has much to offer us in protection and yes, crystals are conscious. They are in a different dimension and dormant to us until we cleanse, charge and connect with them. They are our allies. They are free from the judgement and just want to serve. Don’t you love that? Two of my favorite educators are Judy Hall and Michael Gienger and have written books on the matter if you’d like to study for yourself.
Here are some great choices for crystal allies to dispel fear.
Black Tourmaline: removes negative energy by changing it into positive energy. Many black stones have the capacity to dispel negative energy.
Amethyst balances out highs and lows, promoting emotional centering. It dispels anger, rage, fear, and anxiety. Alleviating sadness and grief, it supports coming to terms with loss. (1)
Orange Calcite balances the emotions, removes fear, and overcomes depression. It dissolves problems and maximizes potential. (2)
Diamond clears emotional and mental pain, reduces fear, and brings about new beginnings. It is a highly creative stone, stimulating imagination and inventiveness. (3)
Green Moss Agate liberates us from pressure and stress. It helps loosen deep fear and encourages trust and hope. Green moss agate brings recovery and refreshes the soul. (4)
Eat Consciously to Stay in the Present Moment and Energized
Are you aware that food has energy and is transferred to you when you consume it? Please don’t let this be a cause of worry, fear or anything else negative. Do use this thought as how can I help myself live more in the present, so fear does not pervade my now.
I choose food that I enjoy, that gives me energy and also that I know has lived well and in harmony (plant or animal). What does this mean? Plant life that has not been burdened with toxins and flesh that has been properly nourished (in all aspects: food, quality of life and death). I lean toward a vegetarian lifestyle, but am an omnivore (I have a lot of variety in my diet). I offer gratitude for the plant that grew to give me nourishment and for the animal that willingly sacrificed it’s life for my sustenance.
Be an acute observer of what you eat.
As you walk or drive pay attention to the small details. The leaf, the shape of the tree, a particular cloud or formation of clouds. When walking, zero in on the micro, the small parts of the whole, when driving look at the macro, the big picture. As you are doing so, curve the corners of your mouth a bit. Yes, an easy smile is good for you and others too. Have you noticed how many people get caught up in their inner world and look so serious, almost sad? Break that spell. Observe the world around you and appreciate it (with a smile).
Send Love
Does your mind trap you with fearful thoughts? Practice sending love. Send love to a particular person that comes to mind. Send love to the stranger driving by, yes the one that just cut you off in traffic. Are you or someone close to you ill? Choose to send love instead of worry to yourself or loved one.
For as many years as I can remember, I have prayed for those I don’t know. Something triggers me and I think, someone needs a hug, a smile, a miracle just now and I ask that they receive it.
Love is the universal language and it is one of the best ways to pray and stay present. It is the way to pray. What do you, does the world need now? It needs each of us to love, to pray, to live in the present moment. That is where joy is found, where health lives, relationships blossom and where fear dissipates.
Live and love fearlessly my friend and be well. Julia
