Silicon Valley parents (aka tech inventors) have been limiting their own kids’ use of screens for many years while tech companies have been successfully and lucratively marketing screens to kids, their parents, and public schools.  It’s insidious but perfectly legal even though research has proven over and over again that kids’ use and exposure to screens is harmful.

Some kids are even experiencing Alzheimer’s-like symptoms.  This is referred to as “Digital Dementia.”  Author and speaker Dr. Krista Burns is hosting a free online workshop about this condition which includes interviews with 60+ experts as well as solutions.

Activist Post has reported many times about kids being harmed by excessive tech use and exposure as well as community efforts to reduce this (See 12).  Check our archives for more details.
