Whether you are streaming a comic flick on Netflix or downloading torrents, a humorous movie is the best remedy to ward off the hangover from a busy week routine. 2018 so far has witnessed some cool comic flicks including the likes of Wes Anderson animated feature film and Blockers, some of which are potential award winners. Here's my list of the most amazing comic flicks.
GAME NIGHT
One of the most interesting movies to hit screens this year, Game Night is all about goofy slapstick humor presented in a classy and elegant manner. The film by Warner Brothers features an exciting couple played by Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams who experience a rather adventurous game night that turns into a thrilling mystery and then actual kidnapping. The film is filled with moments of laughter that will have you glued to the screen with thrilling scenes that gradually unravel the mysterious murder and the entire plot. If you're a comic buff, I highly recommend this.
THOROUGHBREDS
A great funny flick for teenagers, this movie is all about teenagers, parents and conflicting emotions enwrapped in moments of laughter. Hilarious and entertaining, Thoroughbreds by Focus Features has a nice storyline which involves two teens, Lily (Anya Taylor-Joy) and Amanda (Olivia Cooke) who are seen experiencing relationship problems with their stepdad that eventually turns into feelings of hatred and animosity. Following the emotional turbulence, the teenagers concoct a horrendous, murder plot in collaboration with a drug dealer named Tim, which is played by Anton Yelchin.
PADDINGTON 2
Produced by Studiocanal, Paddington 2 is a must-watch for every cinema goer and movie fanatic. Paddington 2 is all about an amiable bear who lives in Windsor Gardens with the Brown family and is trying to look for a nice birthday gift for his aunt Lucy. The plot gets intense when the sweet and friendly bear's initiative is turned into a hilarious adventure as he gets framed for robbing. He is seen battling the antagonist, washed up actor played by Hugh Grant who has Paddington behind bars and pulling off a great prison break spree. Funny and delightful, this is a movie that must not be missed at all.
BLOCKERS
Blockers by Universal Pictures is all about teens and flustered parents trying to stop their kids from inappropriate actions. It is a funny flick that is based in the conventional trued & tested teen comedy formula entailing a number of entertaining elements. Featuring John Cena, the plot includes two parents trying their best to discipline their kids and teach them lessons about maturity, relationships and growing up. Although the parenting theme is complex and intense, the brilliant execution makes the entire flick hilarious and entertaining.
