The Voice of Hind Rajab tells the heartbreaking story of a five-year-old Palestinian girl whose final cries for help shook the world. In January 2024, Hind was trapped inside her uncle’s car in Gaza after Israeli forces riddled it with over 300 bullets, killing six family members around her. Still alive, she clung to life for hours on the phone with the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), pleading desperately for rescue. Two paramedics sent to save her were also killed. Premiering at the Venice Film Festival, it received an extraordinary 23-minute standing ovation—nearly a quarter of the film’s runtime—leaving journalists and audiences openly weeping.
This is not merely a film—it is a testimony to the decades of brutality endured by the Palestinian people. Hind’s story captured global headlines, but she is only one among more than 17,000 Palestinian children killed by Israel whose names and stories remain largely unknown. For now, Hind stands as a symbol of all Gaza’s children.
