The New Moon in Taurus this year creates some intriguing possibilities.
• With Venus, the ruler of Taurus, herself in residence, and the other planet of plenty, Jupiter too, what does this hold?
Well, this event does set the stage for when the two planets of fortune, merge on May 23rd, which could give us all a significant uplift.
• But it is the greater Malefic, Saturn, which is the most influential other planetary player on this particular event.
• Saturn gets a bad celestial press, but it can help us to be realistic, and to apply ourselves by working really hard and diligently.
Taurus New Moons are the perfect time to set our intentions around money, life foundations, self-worth, and personal values, but to also appreciate the good things in life, be it great food and wine, sensuous embraces, nice clothes or possessions or even the simple pleasures that glue our daily routines together.
• So Saturn brings a slice of reality to bear and after 2 1/2 years of increased costs for many of us, perhaps that can feel sobering, even daunting.
However, what we can do is accept where we are, and use the scrutinizing vibe of Saturn to squeeze out some further economies, be thriftier, use our resources more skilfully our crucially to appreciate what we have, and not be so focused on what we don't.
• Now, if cash flow is really tight, the worry this creates can erode our energy and creativity, so this is where Saturn being in the sign of faith, Pisces, comes in so usefully.
If we set our intentions with the knowledge that things can change, it can prove precious. And seeing the value in less tangible parts of our lives can be a great way to bring some positivity to the next four weeks – that the New Moon impacts upon.
• So, here's to a generally very positive Taurus New Moon!
