The most important part of this post, what I experience, you can too. Part of my experience is from practice and the other is innate. Determining what I want is a large part of the equation. Probably the biggest reason I haven’t been afraid is because I worked through some hard days earlier in life. Those days taught me a lot about myself and thus strengthened me. As I learned positive lessons I wrote and reflected on truths that would uphold me during trying times. In essence, I set up a practice that would hold me up when I felt weak or defeated.
Another thing I learned was to truly feel. I recognized emotions are powerful teachers if we allow them to be so. When I could get to the core of the emotion and understand my deep feeling attached, then I had something to hold onto to navigate. Let’s say if I felt the emotion of anger, I would deconstruct it and ask what really is making me angry? Is it because I don’t feel heard or respected? When experiencing the emotion of frustration, I would ask why? Is it because I felt a person should know better? Was I judging them based on my perspective and beliefs and not giving them a fair shake on learning their own life lessons?
With those reflections in mind, I list truths that give me ease, peace of mind during these uncertain and trying days.
1. I have a body, rather than I am a body.
When we really get this, we can experience liberation. Our body transports us. It is intelligent, but needs direction. Our mind, our thoughts are the directing force for our body. When we can learn to manage our thoughts, we are on the road to fearless living.
“Don't get lost in the diagnosis, the medicine, or in the statistics about what somebody else did about it. If you don't feel good, it's because you're not thinking in a way that allows the Energy to flow. You could just get really, really mad at someone you love and make every muscle in your body stiff. And you would ask,”Why does my body feel this way?” And we say, because you've had a Vibrational tug-of-war going on…Stop looking for anything other than your mental and emotional state of being as answers to why you feel how you feel in your body. It is all Vibrational – no exception! And when you get that, then it doesn't matter what diagnosis has been given to you – it doesn't matter – it's temporary.“

2. Greater is that within me, than that which is in the world.
“If you meet Buddha along the road, kill him.” For quite awhile I honestly had a hard time grasping this statement. Simply stated, you do not need anyone outside of yourself to be your guru. We are all equipped with the power within to overcome any obstacle. This is a simple truth that our human minds turn into complicated reasoning. It must be difficult for it to be worthwhile or trustworthy. Is that really the truth? Learn your lessons well and develop your innate sense of wisdom. It is there residing within you. Yes we can learn from others, yet for something to resonate it must be heart felt and then followed with action.
3. Choice. The ability to choose is my ally, my freedom path.
A life impacting book for me was by Wayne Dyer, Change your Thoughts Change Your Life. “Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything. —George Bernard Shaw. Change Your Thoughts—Change Your Life is the end product of my yearlong journey of research, contemplation, and application of the Tao Te Ching, a book of wisdom that’s been translated more than any volume in the world, with the exception of the Bible.” Dyer, Dr. Wayne W.. Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life: Living the Wisdom of the Tao . Hay House, Inc. – A. Kindle Edition.
4. I follow wisdom teachings, not the narrative of the day.
“So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind…” Philippians 4:8, The Passion Translation (TPT)
“But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit.” Galatians 5: 22–23 (TPT)
5. When I feel grateful, I increase my joy factor.
When I choose compassion over judgement, I feel peace. As I embody great truths, I become reasonable, rational and sane. Embodying fearlessness is not carelessness. It is being careful in the choices I make that lead me to freedom and a very conscious life path.
My friends, I am far from perfect, but I am peaceful. Be at peace and live well. ❤️ Julia
