Overcoming Fear! Why I Haven’t Been Afraid During 2020

The most important part of this post, what I experience, you can too. Part of my experience is from practice and the other is innate. Determining what I want is a large part of the equation. Most probably the biggest reason I haven’t been afraid is because I worked through some hard days earlier in life. Those days taught me a lot about my self and thus strengthened me. As I learned positive lessons, I wrote and reflected on truths that would uphold me during trying times. In essence, I set up a practice that would hold me up when I felt weak or defeated.

Another thing I learned was to truly feel. I recognized our emotions are powerful teachers if we allow them to be so. When I could get to the core of the emotion and understand my deep feeling attached, then I had something to hold onto to navigate.  Let’s say if I felt the emotion of anger, I would deconstruct it and ask what really is making me angry? Is it because I don’t feel heard or respected?  When experiencing the emotion of frustration, I would ask why? Is it because I felt a person should know better, was I judging them based on my perspective and beliefs and not giving them a fair shake on learning their own life lessons?
With those reflections in mind, I list truths that I cling to that give me ease, peace of mind during these uncertain and trying days.

Noted author J.K. Rowling went through a rough period before she became famous for her Harry Potter books. She believes that “life is difficult and complicated” and beyond anyone’s total control. “I stopped pretending to myself that I was anything than what I was and began to direct all my energy into finishing the only work that mattered to me. Had I really succeeded at anything else I might never have found the determination to succeed in the one arena where I believed I truly belonged.” J.K. Rowling

Breathing is not just for oxygen; it’s now linked to brain function and behavior. What a Bear, Copperhead, and a Dog Taught Me About Fear

Fear of this sort is a powerful ally.  It alerts to danger and is a call to action.  Living a spiritual life, a life of higher consciousness does not mean that we will be immune from physical danger.  It does mean that even if we can’t control our outer environment, we can control our inner environment.

WATCH THIS HILARIOUS VIDEO: You’ll Laugh Till You Hurt (and Learn How To Get Past Your Fears!)

If the Law of Attraction is as constant as it seems to be, then every time we fear something in our own minds, we’re literally magnetizing that thing into our life. Fear is rarely tied to this moment, and since this moment is all we really ever have, fear is almost always a product of our over-active imagination.

And if the Law of Attraction is as constant as it seems to be, then every time we fear something in our own minds, we’re literally magnetizing that thing into our life.

How to Know if You Are a Bridge Between Worlds

When we take the time to focus on the truth of our hearts we recognize the external droning for what it is: a shallow, crumbling illusion that we have outgrown. This is the vacillating, sometimes confusing, and undoubtedly challenging life of being ‘a bridge’ between two worlds.
