Marijuana is a medicinal drug made from the cannabis plant. It is mostly used for medicinal and recreational purposes, but it's also used for spiritual purposes.

  • Spiritual purposes: Marijuana has also got sacred status in some parts of the world and is religiously used. Greek mythology also has scripts in which it says the use of a powerful drug that helps in relaxing and eliminates sorrow and anguish. 

How to use Marijuana safely

If you are legal in age and require to take marijuana as suggested by a doctor, then you can take it as instructed. In the United States, the Controlled substances Act [1990] classifies marijuana as the part of schedule I substance according to which it has high abusing values than medicinal one. So the availability of marijuana is restricted to the medical stores only that too with a doctor’s prescription.

Marijuana is mostly smoked as a cigarette that is commonly familiar as a joint or a nail; it can also be taken by using a pipe or a bong. Sigar also helps in inhaling Marijuana, cigar by emptying the tobacco and filling it up with marijuana are easy to smoke.

Some users also used marijuana with food like using it by mixing it the tea. In states where marijuana is legal to use, marketing of products is also done by marijuana s the ingredient is biscuits, cookies and brownies.

Those who hate smoking but still want to consume marijuana, vaporizers are used by them and are also popular for its use. Some vaporizers use a liquid form of marijuana extract. And is also high in its content.

Surveys of previous use and facts

In the United States of America, surveys have found that youngsters are using marijuana more often as compared to the seniors. 12th graders were reported at 35.7% approx taking marijuana, and 10th graders were 28.8% when brought more down approx 11.8% of 8th graders were also found taking Marijuana.

A rise among the teenagers were found in the past year for marijuana use. No doubt, the survey also found a decline in the use of tobacco, cigarettes and alcohol.

Forty-three million people ages 12 and above were found using the marijuana. The use of the drug at the age of adolescent was reported about 3 million children using it. At net, the use of marijuana was highest among the 18 to 25 years of age.

Side effects of marijuana

Marijuana being used as a medicinal drug or used as abuse; its use comes with acertain side effects with it. The side effects can vary from person to person, that depends upon the dose and variety of marijuana. Some of the common side effects are:-

  1. Marijuana use results in an increase in heart rate as its side effects.
  2. Marijuana, when smoked, provides muscles relaxation.
  3. Excessive use can cause lower blood pressure and orthostatic hypotension.
  4. Getting high can cause dizziness and sleepiness.
  5. It also causes slower digestion
  6. User may also experience weird sound and noise
  7. Distorted precipitation, like a sense of time, gets lost.
  8. It may also cause dry mouth and dry eyes.

A high use of marijuana may cause panic attacks, paranoia and psychosis. For chronic users, it can also impact the memory power. Marijuana, when purchased on streets, can be a mixture of dangerous substances and can cause serious side effects. So one should always buy marijuana from  Massachusetts Dispensaries and Marijuana Stores only.

In case marijuana is used widely as an addictive drug, withdrawal symptoms can occur like anxiety, tremulousness, the elevation of vital signs, insomnia and irritability. It may also affect the mental health. Studies have shown that use of it can cause severe mental disorder and hallucinations. Overdose of marijuana can also lead to death.

The medicinal and legal status of marijuana

Marijuana today used as a medicinal drug was not always a medicinal drug. However, one should be clear that state vise laws that allow the use of marijuana can not separate a consumer from continues use of marijuana as a criminal offense.

Use of marijuana in other states other than that in which the laws allow can be dangerous and is also a punishable offense under trafficking of the drug.

To use marijuana without being criminally charged can only be done if the patient carries an adequately diagnosed condition from the reputed doctor, who qualifies their state’s list of medical practitioners.

No doubt, the use of marijuana vary from state to state, but the common use of marijuana can be in the case of cancer, Seizures, Severe pain, Cachexia or significant weight loss, HIV/ AIDS. Recreational use of marijuana is legal in Alaska, California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Nevada, Vermont, Washington and many other states of America as per their legal laws to use it in a suggested or prescribed way.
