While I’m not sure why, lately I’ve been contemplating truth and how even though we can prove or disprove certain things before throwing them into the truth bucket, that truth forever remains untouchable, as it is the only thing we can never know for certain.
You see we are manifestors. Whether or not you’re into healing crystals or the New York Mets, it doesn’t matter. Everything is energy and that includes our thoughts. In fact, everything in our 3rd-dimensional reality began with a thought. No pun intended but THINK about it.
Anything astray from natural creation, which includes all matter created or brought into the material world by humanity, not by nature could be traced back to thought in time-space. Without the idea of capturing light in the makings of a lightbulb, we would presumably all still lighting our homes with candles.
Or would we? Are certain things part of the natural unfolding of life within the universe as we know it? Or is…everything a part of it?
A firm believer in destiny, but paradoxically also in full awareness that we can alter that same destiny and create what we call “fate”. Any Terminator fans out there will remember the quote, “No fate but what we make.” I’ve never forgotten that quote, and can even recall the immense tingle of synchronicity flow over me when I first heard it years ago.
So, how can something be destined to happen, yet entirely at the forsaken will of the human mind at all times? Perhaps that is the very construct that holds together this realm of existence. Perhaps we can not exist without creating, just the same as we would not exist without being created…
What does this all have to do with living in our own heads? Well, let me first start by explaining a little deeper as to what I mean by that. Imagination is something we’re taught as kids is some part of us that is out of touch with reality and the older we get, the less we should listen to or even acknowledge the often magnificent creations that surface there.
Now, one could say, “well as adults, don’t we simply call it being creative?” Sure, but creativity can be defined in many ways. In my experience, when I fight for control over a situation rather than relaxing into the solution, I get VERY creative, but from a place of fear, lack and need.
This could further be described as being tied to our reptilian brain and knack for survival that lodged deep into the core of our DNA. And while it serves in inevitable purpose to keep us alive during our lifetimes, it does nothing to keep that spark alive that starts and ends within our childhood imagination, and any adult who may have ever taught you to never disconnect from is, is one truly aware of the imagination’s necessity to live a fully conscious life…outside of our heads.
That may sound backward, but it's our imaginations that keep us connected to OUR truth. Meaning the path we set forth for ourselves way before the constraints of society and the judgments of other people ever seeped deep into our subconscious.
If we allow the opinions of others being the guiding light on our journey, then we eventually forget to use our own. And you know what they say about “use it or lose it” and our internal light is no different. While we can never fully extinguish it, we can dim it to the point we convince ourselves it no longer exists.
If you take anything from this article, please let it be that no matter what your personal truth is, you are loved. The mere thought, words and acknowledge of my words prove it and literally just manifested that love into our reality. It really IS that simple and it’s time that we were all reminded of how powerful we are. Not the kind of power that fuels the ego, but one that propels the soul into Spiritual Alchemy; the art of personal transformation. Where we let our inner light and imagination guide us on our path.
When one reconnects to what we once thought was lost within ourselves, we allow ourselves to find our way home to our own hearts, and thus we can take a break from the constant inner chatter of doubt, worry, fear and feelings of lack and literally recreate our world by changing our thoughts. Take your personal power back and be mindful of what your thinking.
Remember always that what we think eventually harden into habits and if we let them, our habits become us. Make sure they’re good ones that serve you and invite you outside to enjoy the world you’ve created once in a while.
