The Fatality of Fate: Defying Definitive Dimensional Destiny

Image result for create destiny quoteSo, fellow humans…what on Earth are we doing here? Perhaps the oldest question amongst the world of philosophy right up there with, “To be, or not to be…”, it is one that has perplexed the best of us for as long as history itself existed.

Are we destined to walk a preordained path? Or are we capable of shaping our fate to our will?

Well, it depends on who you ask, but for me personally, my answers are “yes” and “yes”. I believe that while we are immensely more powerful than we’ve ever been taught in modern society, that on another level, we all succumb to be a part of something greater than ourselves. A team, a church, a family or organization; humans yearn to commune and history shows that we tend to thrive in groups more than we do as solitary creatures.

Religious or not, we all must admit that we have experienced at one point in our life a situation where we felt completely out of control. And at one point or another, turned to something, or someone outside of ourselves for a new perspective, or advice on how to traverse a path we somehow can no longer see clearly.

So, is it true? Are certain experiences destined to occur regardless of our will, focus, or plans? Or are we all victims of our own sub-conscious creations, each creating their own strand to expand the web of life. Science confirms we are all energy and that on a molecular level, there is nothing truly “solid” no separate about any of us. In fact, the only difference is what is called our “resonance” or electric frequency we are emitting at any given time.

Could varying levels of resonance act to push one event to come to fruition over another? Absofreakinglutely. If you are mindful enough to notice, when our day starts out “bad” and we trip over the coffee table, it is our reaction that acts to define the mood or energy of the rest of our day. Think about it…how quickly do we say out loud to ourselves when we are running late in the morning, “Well, gonna be one of those days…” without a second thought that we have just acted to manifest that very kind of day?

So, in that sense, we ARE on some level admitting we are victims of circumstance, but is that entirely true? Perhaps if we had chosen to awaken 30 minutes earlier, we wouldn’t have tripped over the coffee table, causing us to be late and thus put out there that we WANT a shitty day.

If we know anything of energy it is that it is always moving towards or away from something else. And that while like minds might think alike, when it comes to energy, two positives will repel one another, not attract. Perhaps this can be likened to how we organically act as mirrors to one another, always attracting those towards us who will bring us exactly the type of energy that will help us learn something we are not currently aware of even if we do not like how it is delivered. As the saying goes, if you’re open-minded, everyone and everything is your Teacher.

In a sense, we can stay at the “level of resonance” we choose, regardless of knowledge acquired. You see, knowing something is not worth anything until it is applied. Without application, it truly serves no good purpose and will fester in its own way until it is released. This is not subject only to harbored secrets or betrayals we may be ashamed of and thus buried away under our proverbial mind rug, but includes our gifts, talents, generosity, and compassion. If we know better, we do better and not to sound cliche but knowledge truly is power.

“The best way to predict your future is to create it.” – Abraham Lincoln

When used to serve others, power will expand your energetic reach and lift you into higher resonance (trust, love, collaboration). When you work to serve only yourself, it will constrict your energy and pull you into lower resonance (fear, lack, competition…) I’m not saying let yourself go without, not at all, but rather when we serve ourselves from a place of knowing that everything is connected, there is no room for guilt, shame, or separation. We begin to realize that when we take care of ourselves we are better suited to care for others, who are merely extensions of ourself.

We all know we live in a world of 3-D, but we are MULTIdimensional beings and the wholeness of who we are spans across all time, space and dimensions of reality. If we can remember our power in times of grief and struggle, we ultimately allow that inner fire to act as the propellant to ignite our greatest potential.

Always remember, no matter how “bad” a day may seem to be going, if you give yourself the gift of presence; your full attention within that moment, you are also claiming power to the fact you can actually make it any kind of day you choose for it to be, regardless of what “happens to you”. Image result for create destiny quote

When we act from the heart, rather than the mind, we leave little room to doubt the natural flow of intuitive energy that flows within each and every one of us. The same energy that if we stop and tune into, plays a song only those within the same resonance can hear. This is why when we feel confident, we attract those that see what we FEEL about ourselves. Also, when we are feeling insecure we attract those that bring out what we are AFRAID to feel; which is the fact that we truly do create ourselves and our lives with each and every choice.

We can choose to see life as a road map someone else designed and take the safe route, or we can turn the map over and create our own path, whether traveled before by another or not. That’s what great about killing your subdued attachment to fate… its death allows the destiny of your creation to burst forth into life.

How To Experience Full Frequency Living

We all feel as if life can get a bit monotonous once in a while. But when that once in a while begins to fade into the norm, life can start to feel draining rather than nourishing, and who the hell wants that, right? We all inherently know on some level that the whole point here is to find that warm fuzzy feeling, the love we feel and see in the eyes our children, our lovers, our dying grandmothers…within ourselves. And honestly, it is only when we forget that fact that life ever seems to appear routine…

Image result for attitude is everythingI know it is beyond cliche, yet it remains a cornerstone of excellent advice when it comes to spiritual growth, and so I’m going to share it here. That stroke of genius is this right here…ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING. Your attitude is what sets the vibrational frequency that you are emitting out into the world. Call it your own nonverbal signature that introduces you in the most honest way to people, whether either of you is consciously aware of it or not.

Your attitude is a choice to resonate with a certain frequency. Some are high and some are lower. The higher frequencies tend to open us up to communicate to our higher selves, spirit guides, astral beings and beings from higher dimensions, because these frequencies carry amazing feeling emotions and states of being such as love, gratitude, forgiveness, and peace which widen your receptive abilities, like zooming out a camera to view a wider perspective. Higher frequencies are expensive while lower ones are constricting. We can literally feel this in our bodies.

But contrary to what mainstream New Age news might suggest, I don’t always recommend staying in high frequencies, unless that is what your body is telling you and what feels right to you. Rather I do always recommend meditating on matching your own heart with the Earth’s frequency. I believe all frequencies serve their purpose or else we wouldn’t have access to them and our bodies wouldn’t respond to them and be able to work with them. The higher frequencies serve a purpose of healing, connection, direction, love, but I do not feel we need to necessarily “ascend” into them per se as we are already all-encompassing emotional, mental and spiritual beings, simply remembering who we are.

Image result for vibrational frequency

Humans feel and yes, humans think…a lot. But regardless of the implications of the famous quote by Descartes, “I think, therefore I am,” just thinking something doesn’t actually make it so. It turns out that for things to happen, there needs to be an initial cause. It turns out that for us to have the things that we want to show up in our lives to snap us out of monotony, WE need to show up first! So, one of the best ways to know things are about to get interesting in your life is after assessing your own pro-active involvement in it!

I truly believe none of us ever really grow up and that we are all just growing children until the day we die. With that being said, there are some things we learn and some things we don’t. Regardless, we ALL lose touch with who we are from time to time and fall into the trap of victimhood where we stop appreciating and start complaining. We all tend to find more ease in throwing energy into our problems than in attempts to find solutions as if we genuinely fear there may not even be one. Image result for vibrational frequency

The hardest lesson to learn and the easiest one to forget to live in the third-dimension is that the mere fact a problem exist also proves there is a solution, as 3-D reality is one of duality, polarity and NOTHING exists without its opposing (yet cosmically complimenting) counterpart. No, not even your problems!

When we begin to feel disconnected from our family, friends, lovers, or source of spiritual solace, what we are really feeling disconnected from is ourselves. This is always a time where your inner child is literally screaming for some attention. It is making you feel unsatisfied and bored in all facets so eventually, if you don’t catch on, you will have no direction to turn but inward. And when you finally do, you will see yourself, who’s been waiting for you all this time.

Looking at our own Soul in perhaps one of the most terrifying things a person can do. And yet we fight ourselves in the reflections of others each and every single day. We just may not be aware of the fact that this is what relationships are all about. Until facets of your own unhealed parts are looked upon, they will continue to be reflected back to you. When we are tired of being blinded by reflections, then sometimes we just gotta look to see.

In the Midst of Life’s Noise, Listen to the Song of Your Soul

Image result for soul songMany of us from time to time have tasted defeat and wondered what are we doing wrong or what can we be doing “better”? But after a while, you get to a point where you realize that what you have believed you were fighting for, you’ve actually been fighting against. And this isn’t to say that any choices we’ve made prior were good or bad ones, just that over time we eventually land where we are meant to be; no matter how many choices we make that inevitably delay it.

I know first hand that the mind and heart do not always play nice and that sometimes you need to quiet them both and go deep into your soul to find the answers best for you. Often it’s only when we quiet the mind and release the heart do we afford ourselves the opportunity to connect with our own inner guidance; the one that is objective and has no agenda.

We can trust this voice because unlike the mind it’s not “thinking” logically as to what might make the most sense, or take into account what others might think, etc. And unlike the heart, it’s not tied up in the emotion that often clouds us from accurately seeing things that are potentially dangerous to our overall well-being.

When we listen to what I love to call the “song of our soul”, we are hearing the equivalent of our inner child reading from the book of our personal purpose. And that inner child of ours is bursting with authentic joy in remembrance of who we really are and why we were put here, to begin with. Not to get distracted in everyday life, nor lost in it to overlook what some might consider being trivial.

“The song of your soul is longing to be sung. Let your own essence express itself freely.”

-Brandon Bays

This voice reminds us of who we really are. Of who we were before the world told us we must be in order to fit in and be accepted into society. And under all of those labels and expectations are layers of dreams and ideas forgotten that merely need to be wiped clean again. Kind of like restoring that classic car you’ve had parked for over a decade that you finally pull out of the garage with pride; shiny and new and representative of the fun and freedom, yet hard work you’ve put into designing your life up until now.

And let this also be a reminder that there is a big difference between letting go and giving up. We may feel like a failure if we leave that dead-end job we’ve been in for 15 years only because the manager keeps promising that killer raise and promotion, but if we never leave, the new opportunity that could afford us the title, the pay rate and the lifestyle we desire can never reach us. And obtaining those things, if part of our particular dream, would make us feel like we achieved a lot, no?

This is surely not to say that accomplishments are based on just what you do for a living, nor is it to say that money is a true measure of success, but for so many of us we fear to let what we want to happen actually happen, because what’s happening now is less scary than what we make up in our heads of what COULD happen, right???

Enough of that nonsense! It’s time we make a switch…from living in fear to living FEARLESS! All it takes is a bit of trust in oneself, a dash of guts to take a risk or two, a hint of confidence, a splash of imagination and inspiration and as much joy and celebration as you want for dessert!

We attract what we think, right? I think that it’s safe to say none of us here are strangers to manifesting or how it works, so always remember that. And remember as well that what we resist persists, so by default of how society would like us to be, we are always manifesting…low energy things, often things we do not want and we may not even be aware of it. So take back your power, and get back into the flow of fulfillment. Image result for soul song

Some people will come into our lives for a day, a year, or a lifetime and they are also reminders of the energy we put out. So be mindful of areas in your relationships that feel forced as it may be time to take a look at things you may be holding too tightly to and that some release could allow some resolutions to breathe themselves into your situation.

When we remain mindful, but let things happen as they will we accept a communion with nature that will respect you back and allow you to happen to things just as much. And what I mean by that is the more we take the time to acknowledge, appreciate and allow what comes, the more what comes will be exactly what we wanted to come.

How to Manage a Major Metamorphosis

We tend to find it easier to smile when things seem to be “going right” in our lives. We may have found the perfect mate, landed our dream job, have a supportive and loving family, and find that overall things are pretty smooth sailing. But what about when that perfect mate cheats? Or we get fired? Or that loving family rejects something about you dear to your heart? What does that do to us on a soul level and why is our reaction to it vital in the level of growth we take from it?

Believe it or not, we are not mere victims of circumstance. Yes, environmental factors play a huge role in our overall development, and how we are treated and what we are taught about ourselves and the world around us as children is pretty much what we take into adulthood. However, it doesn’t have to stay that way. We are always free to choose our next step, our next reaction, and our next goal.

So, how do we react when life gives us a swift kick where the sun doesn’t shine? Do we get pissed off and curse the Universe or God? Do we take it out on those around us whose lives still seem to be going pretty well? Do we go into hermit mode and recluse ourselves into a month-long pity party? Or do we step back and try to see if there’s anything to learn from the situation…anything good that could come of it…any reason the Universe may have “made it all go to shit” perhaps to make way for something even BETTER!?

“Life’s challenges are not supposed to paralyze you; they’re supposed to help you discover who you are.” – Bernice Johnson Reagon

I’ve come to learn that life really is a matter of personal perspective. You can live 90 years with each day incredible and purpose-driven; full of creative ambition. Or you can live the same day over and over for 90 years. It’s really up to you, no matter where you come from, who your parents were, what gender or race you are, or nationality you are born under. Yes, these factors have their own undeniable struggles, but those too are calling to be looked at in an entirely new way. When one sees “short-comings” not as obstacles, but as catalysts for motivation, the world opens up with new possibilities.

If the greatest leaders, peace-makers, speakers, loving-hearts of our time had let themselves be mere victims of circumstance, imagine how the world might feel a little less full without their voices ever being heard; without their presence being known to the world; without the differences they made, ever being made at all. My point is we ALL have that ability within us, to do such incredibly wonderful, great things. The only difference between “us” and “them” is how we choose to see ourselves against the rest of the world.

And with great vision, often comes great growth which can bring one to endure great pain. Why so? Well, consider the caterpillar’s journey through metamorphosis. If its vision only stretched as far as becoming the best caterpillar it could be, it would be denying itself of its true purpose, which is to become the spectacular butterfly. The caterpillar must be open to the belief that he is so much more than what he can physically see now and that in time he will naturally grow into his magnificence. He doesn’t need to plan for it, or hope for it, or wish it. But he will go through the complete and utter destruction of his current self and what he knows himself to be in this moment as a caterpillar. And that can be terrifying and is guaranteed to be quite painful.

“How does one become a butterfly? They have to want to learn to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar.” – Trina Paulus

And as humans grow, whether intellectually, mentally, spiritually or all of the above, we are not that different from the caterpillar. We often get torn apart, hearts melted, broken and beaten down into an unrecognizable pulp, but in the end, we endure as a stronger, wiser version of our former selves. We have become the proverbial butterfly. Only as humans, we get to do this continually throughout our lives as we go through our life lessons and experience what we would perceive as those “painful” times in our lives. Those times that we look back on and whose memory can still make us cry, bring forth anger or sadness, or even guilt and regret.

These experiences stretch us and can hurt in terrible ways, but if we look at the pain as a measure of strength, we often realize that we are so much more capable of handling life’s trials than we ever imagined. And with this comes unexpected respect for the pain as you begin to realize that without it, you would not be the person you are today, for it is the pain that pushed you to face your greatness and to pursue your perpetual purpose. It is in the pain that we find appreciation for the little things we take for granted every day. And we are gifted with the knowledge that without a bit of struggle, we’d never learn how to fully break free of the self-defeating limitations placed upon us by society. Pain challenges us, and it can be our greatest motivator for change; a catalyst for new beginnings and for me personally, perhaps the greatest mentor I’ve ever had.

Non-duality Thinking Mind Experiment – [VIDEO: James Traverse]

Image result for nondualityIn third-dimensional reality, we live in a dualistic world of opposite, cycles, and continuations. Our electromagnetic environment exists at the whim of galactic and universal forces continually pushing and pulling on one another. Our consciousness here on Earth allows us to rationalize, compartmentalize and scrutinize every thought we have. We are in a constant cycle, web and flow of comparisons, measurements, and patterns.

So, how do we even being to perceive a non-dualistic world? It’s, of course, paradoxical in that to do so, we must not do so. Meaning that perception is a feat of the “thinking mind” and to perceive is to also judge, compare, and process into some subconscious filing cabinet. Therefore, we must pause the thinking mind, and it’s easier to do than you may think (no pun intended.)

When asked a question we do not have enough information to answer, the thinking mind stops and as demonstrated in the video below, this proves that there is another way of thinking beyond using the rational mind.

How to Not Spend a Lifetime in Your Own Head

Image result for einstein imagination quotesWhile I’m not sure why, lately I’ve been contemplating truth and how even though we can prove or disprove certain things before throwing them into the truth bucket, that truth forever remains untouchable, as it is the only thing we can never know for certain.

You see we are manifestors. Whether or not you’re into healing crystals or the New York Mets, it doesn’t matter. Everything is energy and that includes our thoughts. In fact, everything in our 3rd-dimensional reality began with a thought. No pun intended but THINK about it.

Anything astray from natural creation, which includes all matter created or brought into the material world by humanity, not by nature could be traced back to thought in time-space. Without the idea of capturing light in the makings of a lightbulb, we would presumably all still lighting our homes with candles.

Or would we? Are certain things part of the natural unfolding of life within the universe as we know it? Or is…everything a part of it?

A firm believer in destiny, but paradoxically also in full awareness that we can alter that same destiny and create what we call “fate”. Any Terminator fans out there will remember the quote, “No fate but what we make.” I’ve never forgotten that quote, and can even recall the immense tingle of synchronicity flow over me when I first heard it years ago.

So, how can something be destined to happen, yet entirely at the forsaken will of the human mind at all times? Perhaps that is the very construct that holds together this realm of existence. Perhaps we can not exist without creating, just the same as we would not exist without being created…

What does this all have to do with living in our own heads? Well, let me first start by explaining a little deeper as to what I mean by that. Imagination is something we’re taught as kids is some part of us that is out of touch with reality and the older we get, the less we should listen to or even acknowledge the often magnificent creations that surface there.

Now, one could say, “well as adults, don’t we simply call it being creative?” Sure, but creativity can be defined in many ways. In my experience, when I fight for control over a situation rather than relaxing into the solution, I get VERY creative, but from a place of fear, lack and need.

This could further be described as being tied to our reptilian brain and knack for survival that lodged deep into the core of our DNA. And while it serves in inevitable purpose to keep us alive during our lifetimes, it does nothing to keep that spark alive that starts and ends within our childhood imagination, and any adult who may have ever taught you to never disconnect from is, is one truly aware of the imagination’s necessity to live a fully conscious life…outside of our heads.

That may sound backward, but it’s our imaginations that keep us connected to OUR truth. Meaning the path we set forth for ourselves way before the constraints of society and the judgments of other people ever seeped deep into our subconscious.

If we allow the opinions of others being the guiding light on our journey, then we eventually forget to use our own. And you know what they say about “use it or lose it” and our internal light is no different. While we can never fully extinguish it, we can dim it to the point we convince ourselves it no longer exists.

If you take anything from this article, please let it be that no matter what your personal truth is, you are loved. The mere thought, words and acknowledge of my words prove it and literally just manifested that love into our reality. It really IS that simple and it’s time that we were all reminded of how powerful we are. Not the kind of power that fuels the ego, but one that propels the soul into Spiritual Alchemy; the art of personal transformation. Where we let our inner light and imagination guide us on our path.

When one reconnects to what we once thought was lost within ourselves, we allow ourselves to find our way home to our own hearts, and thus we can take a break from the constant inner chatter of doubt, worry, fear and feelings of lack and literally recreate our world by changing our thoughts. Take your personal power back and be mindful of what your thinking.

Remember always that what we think eventually harden into habits and if we let them, our habits become us. Make sure they’re good ones that serve you and invite you outside to enjoy the world you’ve created once in a while.

“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairytales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairytales.” – Albert Einstein

The Science Behind Crystal Healing

Image result for crystal healing scienceIt had always perplexed me that while we learned about the layers of the Earth and the consistency of sediment, rock, and minerals in Geology class, we never once learned about a particular creation of Nature known as the Quartz crystal. Or furthermore, the incredible healing properties it contains or that crystals are capable of being “programmed” and can store information for thousands of years.

Now, one would think in this day and age with our current electronics being dependent on crystals, that it might come up more often in our education system. However, the first time I really learned about what crystals really are and what they can do, wasn’t until I landed in a Reiki I class at Wright College in Chicago, IL back in 1999.

At first, I truly thought each type of crystal should strictly be used for healing certain ailments, but what I’ve come to learn from using crystals in my healing sessions for 20 years now is that just about any type of quartz crystal can contribute to healing, if one knows how to properly “clean”, “program” and open to what could be considered the core processor of the crystal. By this I mean, we mustn’t attempt to control the crystal’s power, but rather learn to harness a connection to the gate of information contained within and allow it to flow unharnessed.

With everything in existence being energy, it would benefit us well to understand how being energy gives us much more power over our lives than our ingrained beliefs of limitations, failures, and restrictions. Crystals serve to remind us that true power is always contained within and when we can remain in a constant balance of giving and receiving, we perform at optimum levels.

Crystals are neither a solid or a liquid, but rather a flux of silica and oxygen which keeps them in a fluid state of internal motion and flow while preserving the energy of information that it has received from its surroundings, either by natural means, or by intentional programming through human thought and intention, such as I or any other energy healer working with crystals would do. Related image

Personally, I leave my crystals “open” or “empty” with just their own resonant, signature frequency. Think of it as an energetic chalkboard just ready to have you write the best physics equation that is your life and intentions. And if used properly, crystals can aid us in all sorts of healing ways, not simply physiological, but also psychologically, emotionally and of course spiritually.

When I work with a client in person as opposed to distance healing over the internet, phone or intentional waves of thought, I always let them choose a crystal and THEN I will program it to aid in the healing we’ve done in that particular day’s session. This helps to keep the healing going for my clients, long after their session with me has ended and because the client chose that particular crystal themselves, they’ve identified a personal energetic connection, and rather than force it to bend at my will, I use it as the foundation I build upon with the utmost respect for a person’s personal path.

We don’t often think about how much crystals effect our daily lives, and whether or not you believe in their ability to transfer, hold and emit programmable and intentional energy, you have to acknowledge the fact that you wouldn’t even be reading this article if it wasn’t for crystals. It is due to their integration into microchips and LCD screens that we are graced with the technology of computers and cell phones that can remember their functions, your contacts, and that funny picture of your cat whether you have it turned on or leave it off for a week. Because of crystals and their ability to store information for tremendous periods of time, suspending literal thoughts in time, we now have the ability to appreciate the now, and how crystal technology has been around in all of humanity’s past, and will ultimately be what launches us into the future.

Emptiness is Also Form – [VIDEO: Heart Sutra]

Image result for from in emptinessPerhaps you may have heard before the Heart Sutra that says “Form is Emptiness, Emptiness is Form”. From what we typically know of emptiness it puts out a feeling of separation or missing something or being without, but in fact, true emptiness if we shift the way we’re looking at it, is perhaps the complete way to obtain fulfillment.

You see, when we see a cup full of water, you’d say the cup is full. If you dumped the water out, you might want to say the cup is now empty, but WHAT is empty of? “Something” cannot be empty of “nothing”! What a wonderful revelation when you realize that while the water may have dispersed, the cup remains full…is air, not a “thing”?

This is a great reminder to always take heed on the world which we cannot necessarily see, as keeping it close to your awareness also keeps you attuned to the fact that everything is intertwined, everything is connected. And nature shows us this in so many ways. Even our own bodies are perfect examples. The heart, lungs, kidneys…they are all connected, working together as part of a bigger system; interconnected.

And we can see this inter-connectedness in everything if we just look closely enough. If you’re a writer like me, a blank or “empty” piece of paper can either be an exciting adventure or cause you high anxiety if you need to meet a deadline, but whatever the case if we look deeper we know the paper is already full. Full of the bark of the tree that provided its essence for the creation of the paper and even the sunlight contained within the tree bark remains…Nothing is ever truly empty or without form. Image result for from in emptiness

In fact, obtaining full “emptiness” could be equated to Enlightenment as it coming into your full potential of everything you absolutely are, and the shedding of all you are not relatively.

The following video below goes into this concept more deeply and provides a wonderful and easy to follow explanation of this often complex structure of universal connection among all consciousness across time and space…

Electric Love: Why Empaths Experience Everything in Energy

Image result for empaths quotesThe feelings of empathy are what connect the hearts of humanity and are the ties that bind us all throughout the cosmos and across all of time and space. It is what allows us to literally step into the shoes of another and experience their perspective, their view, and even sometimes their thoughts, energy, and feelings as intensely and as vividly as they do themselves.

Most of us are born with an innate sense of empathy and if we see someone or something in pain, we get a tingle in our gut that makes us want to reach out and console or help them. We feel deep down that connection I mentioned earlier, even if we cannot on the surface of our consciousness fully understand why or where these feeling are coming from.

In today’s society, sadly many of us are unaware of the magnificent details of this connection and most are certainly not taught about it in school or from our parents. But some of us, those we call Emotional or Intuitive Empaths, are born with such capabilities that they without effort absorb and pick up on the energies, thoughts, and feelings of those around them and therefore are forced to explore this extra-sensory avenue of our physical capabilities. I, to my blessing and also to my demise, am one of these people.

I haven’t shared this truth about myself with many people as I was growing up as even at the age of 3 I knew I was different and felt like an outcast. I knew things adults around me didn’t and frankly, I found out the hard way that most adults do not appreciate being corrected, especially by a child. I got kicked out of Sunday school for asking too many questions about God that couldn’t be answered and often was asked to leave classrooms for the same reason. I just couldn’t turn off this endless sense of curiosity and wonderment in my brain about the world around me, and with the constant bombardment of emotions, feelings, thoughts, and energy that was not merely of my own creation, but of those around me, I was always stimulated, energetically triggered, pushed and pulled emotionally and for a kid not knowing what the hell is happening, it can be quite confusing.

Universities even studied my abilities as a child, but for me personally, it was up to me to find out the answers about who I was, what these gifts were, why they were endowed to me and what purpose they served for me on my path in life. For many years I hated them and just wanted them to go away. I hid them from my friends and just played the role of the friend who always gave good advice and was a good listener. The friend who always knew what you were feeling. I guess I got pretty good at wearing my masks because I became so embedded in my own disguise that in my 20‘s I had no idea who I was and tried to find myself in drugs, alcohol, meaningless sex and unhealthy relationships that only left me feeling used and abused…and rightly so.

Related image

I was recently reminded of just how fragile the heart truly is and just how much more growing I have to do. I had thought I knew the scope of my gifts, but I finally know now that I am here to use them for the greater good, not to hide them away in shame. And I feel I’m finally ready to do that. You see when you live for others for your entire life, even the idea of self-love feels foreign to you. It is something that comes riddled with guilt and shame because you are just not used to putting yourself first.

For the majority of my life, I’ve built walls to protect myself and to take care of others. But I realize now and I share this insight with not only other Empaths out there but anyone who feels like they always put themselves out there, just to have their heart broken over and over again; that we must first LIVE for ourselves so we can LEARN to LOVE for ourselves. Then and only then will we stop breaking our own hearts, and be able to authentically show up in the space that the Universe has carved out just for us. For we are all sparks of divine light, but we must be willing to turn our focus inward because this light resides within our own hearts and can only be seen once we fully embrace our own soul, our own Spirit for the perfect imperfection; the sliver of magnificence that it is.

Tantric Sex: A Connection That’s Deeper Than Love Itself

Related imageYou’ve probably heard the term Tantra or Tantric Sex a time or two, but what the heck is it? And what makes it so different than everyday, ordinary sex? Well, …abso-freaking-lutely everything!

Tantra is a Sanskrit word meaning, “woven together” and we can all imagine how when we are lost in the moment with our lover in a pretzel of passion; the definition seems to explain itself. Tantric sex isn’t for those who are only into surface feelings and sensations or who are mostly concerned with their own needs being met. If you tend to be more of a selfish lover, or even a bashful lover afraid to ask for what you want, then I highly recommend giving Tantric sex a try, because the level of connection and intensity it brings will be like nothing you have ever experienced in your life.

Couples who are actively practicing Tantric sex can find a sense of union beyond the typical act of love-making and perhaps the best way to describe it would be that it feels as if you forget where you end and your lover begins; you literally merge on many levels, almost dissolving into one another. It’s about being so aware of each other, that your awareness becomes unified as well as your motions, and this easily accounts for the mind-blowing orgasms that follow.

Tantric sex is not for everyone as it does require a willingness to be open and vulnerable with your lover. It’s a literal removal of the masks we wear every day and going beyond physical nakedness. It’s allowing yourself and your lover a sacred space where you both can be as empty of labels, judgments, expectations and resentment that we often carry and pass onto our lovers, and instead bring wholeness to the experience so that both are left feeling fuller than ever.

“It is time we saw sex as the truly sacred art that it is. A deep meditation, a holy communion, and a dance with the force of creation.” – Marcus Allen

If you would like to try Tantric sex but perhaps have no idea where to start, I always recommend the breath. Tantric sex to me is literally like a sensual, moving meditation and a great practice to get you and your partner going are to sit (clothes optional lol) and face one another and simply tune into one another’s breath. It often helps if you can place your hands on one another’s hearts to tap into the feels of your heartbeats. This will get you both into the same rhythm and create a mutual awareness of each others energy.

So why try it at all? I think that many of us grow tired of the routine and this often brings drama and unresolved expectations into our relationships because we don’t often know how to rekindle those feelings we once had for our lovers. We often forget what made us fall in love with them in the first place, and Tantric sex, which to me is simply another term for “sex fully present in the moment”, gives you the opportunity to reconnect in ways you may not have previously thought of because it lets you look at things from a different perspective.

While most people tend to get insecure or angry and distance themselves when they feel there are issues in the bedroom, being even willing to try Tantrix sex is literally opening a floodgate of passion that you may not have even realized has been lying dormant with you both. Related image

We all love to be seen and validated and with the intense eye-contact, mutual vulnerability, attention, and awareness, with each person sharing the same goal (not necessarily their individual pleasure, but creating pleasure together), this process seems to bring new life into areas many couples thought were long since dead and gone.

Sometimes all it ever takes to remember what magic you are capable of is to see it in your own lover’s eyes. And when you are both willing to open up and be that mirror of love to your partner, incredible growth and closeness are possible beyond your wildest dreams…AND fantasies. 😉

3 Ways to Know When Holding On is Actually Holding You Back

Some people are excellent at monitoring their own energy. I am not one of those people…You see, I am one of those empath weirdos you’re always hearing about in the spiritual community. And I say “weirdo” with the utmost love in my over-feeling heart and compassion in my over-thinking brain.

You’d think that someone like me would’ve learned innately to keep my own energy in check, but if you’re an empath too or know someone who is, then you also know that it can sometimes take years, if not an entire lifetime to learn how to even differentiate your own energy from those around you.

While I’ve come to embrace this trait as a gift and am just in recent years figuring out how to use to best serve me and my goals in life, it has also served, at my own hand, to keep me feeling unseen, unheard, unappreciated and perhaps the most painful, unloved.

I, along with every other empath I’ve ever spoken to, had to learn at a very young age that how we feel isn’t important enough to be a priority to anyone. In fact, we developed quite quickly the damaging belief that it’s not only our job to keep our feelings inside but to also make sure that we are catering to the emotions of (or lack thereof) everyone else and that we are meeting their needs. I often liken it to what I call “energy chameleon training”.

Through these beliefs, we begin to bring to life the idea that it is our “duty” to live simultaneously closed off emotionally, and yet hyper-tuned into how we can help others with their own problems at the moment. I recall always having severe anxiety whenever my mother would drop me off at daycare and this was due to my what had grown from these beliefs…a deep-rooted fear of abandonment. And rightly so, to this day my inner child doesn’t trust adults and I don’t blame her.

Can you relate yet? LOL While not a particularly comical topic, one thing I have learned along the way is that being able to laugh at yourself, make light of what crap comes your way does make it easier to not get caught up in energy and emotions, and to keep an open mind about obstacles. I’ve now made it a habit to turn each one into an opportunity. Perhaps this is why I’ve recently become obsessed with Alchemy, particularly Spiritual Alchemy.

(I wrote a previous article on Spiritual Alchemy if you’re unfamiliar with the term. Check it out here: How to Live as a Spiritual Alchemist )

Which brings me to the incredibly useful Alchemical tool of Transmutation. A spiritual approach to turning base elements into gold, or rather your unhealed wounds and shadow traumas into catalysts for your greatest potential.

So what does this all have to do with knowing when to let go? Well, glad you asked. 🙂

  1. If you find yourself spending a significant amount thinking about, worrying about or giving energy to something or someone that is not making you feel good, then LET IT GO. I’m not talking about the egoist-grunts of not wanting to do the work required to meet healthy goals, no, not at all. I’m referring to spending years of your life in an UNhealthy relationship with someone who convinces you that you are something you’re not, or whom cannot see your light, heart, or true intentions. Putting energy into things that drain us is a never-ending battle. And while it can be instinctual to want to love someone else into their own best self, we cannot and will not accomplish anything like this with someone who doesn’t see what you see.
  2. If you see failures as mistakes, then you may not like what I am about to say next. Failing is a fucking GOOD thing! All a “failure” truly is in the grand scheme of things is learning ONE way not to do something. And every mistake is just as vital to your success as the moments you felt everything was going great. The point is, see the entire journey and honor all parts of it. Each part is equally responsible for getting you to where you are today. This can also be said when it comes to loving those parts of us we may consider unlovable, or accepting things from our past we may not be proud of.
  3. Anything that floods your essence with shame or guilt is not for you. Trust me. It’s not for ANYONE. Regardless of what someone has or hasn’t done (people can instill shame or guilt over either if you think about it), it’s always going to be up to them whether they will choose remorse, forgiveness, growth, and love over letting the opportunity to get closer to their greatest potential slip away. We’ve all heard it before, people will not change unless they want to and ultimately it’s not our responsibility to heal others or push them to change one way or another. What we do have the right to do is walk away. To let go.

“The easiest way to be happy is to no longer hold onto what is making you sad…”

Whether you’re empathic or not, if you consider yourself to be kind, compassionate and find yourself putting the needs of others’ ahead of your own, then I’m sure my words have either struck a chord or triggered something awake inside. That thing is your soul. And it’s calling each and every one of us that actually care to listen. As they say, go within or go without. We are all mirrors and how you feel about yourself on the inside determines what you see reflected back to you from others.

Make the big leap into letting go of what you’ve convinced yourself is pushing your forward, and you just may gain a new perspective of what’s been holding you back.

Much love and have an insightful weekend my friends! <3

How to Align Your Life With the Power of Focused Attention

Most of us have heard the phrase, “Energy flows where attention goes”, but have you ever stopped to ponder what this truly means and how to actually apply this Truth to your own life? It is such a powerful principle that can so easily be harnessed, yet so few of us catch onto it right away; if ever.

Most of us tend to put our energy into the things we think we are supposed to and for the most part that’s a good thing, right? We study hard so we get into a good college so we have a better chance at landing a good job. We take care of our families by going to those jobs each day. We pay the bills from our wages to keep a roof over our heads, etc.

However, if most of us are doing what we are “supposed” to be doing, then why are so many of us so unhappy and so unsatisfied with our lives? The very lives we work so very hard for every single day to ensure stay in place just as they are? Why do we struggle then, only to keep the struggle going? Do you see where I’m going with this?

Well, for starters let’s take a look at where our major priorities in life may come from. If you never question your own beliefs, wants, and feelings then how can you ever know if they are truly your own or have simply been inherited or passed down from your parents and possibly even the generations before them? This would mean that what you are choosing to focus on is a subconscious, not conscious choice that is there because of someone else’s perceptions of the world; not your own.

If you are happy, then keep on keeping on! However, if you are unhappy and want to align your life so that it works better for you, then the first thing I would suggest that you do is take a look at your core beliefs; these strongest, most influential beliefs you have over the greatest, most relevant parts of your life including your love life, finances, health and career.

You may get a feeling at some point during your career that the particular path they’ve chosen is not for you and that you’re simply not doing what you love. It may run as deep as feeling like you’re wasting your talents, gifts and abilities and were put here to do more than “the daily grind”. If it runs deep enough, this is often the first time we question what we are doing with our lives, why and for whom?

Unfortunately, many of us never stop to question our beliefs and may never know the Self with a capital “S” that lies beneath the masks of our perceptual personality. However, if we do get to asking the question, then this usually is the first sign that our current beliefs and motivations leave great room for growth, molding, shaping and expansion of our creation and hopefully we like the taste of power that questioning our beliefs actually gives us.

Focusing our attention on all we’ve been told and un-learning anything that no longer serves us is the first step to aligning our lives. With the first question, with directed attention on new potential we begin to see that we are creators in our own rite. And hopefully, we roll with it! 🙂 Because the more we are willing to face the unknown about ourselves and get to know to real us, the more life will reward us with balanced experiences. And by that I mean, because you are living as a true expression of yourself, you stop projecting and reflecting in your relationships and you just ARE. And with just being is where we find…yep, you guessed it…balance. And in balance, there is none other than peace.

When we can live peaceful lives, we thrive and align in all sectors. We are not haunted by our fears, but rather see them as catalysts for action. We are not exhausted by change, we are respectful of it’s infinite presence. We are not attached to experiences, we are aware of conscious love in all time. We’re not living on auto-pilot reacting to things that “happen” to us, but rather choosing how we direct our focus and energy or rather living “pro-actively”. We gain confidence needed to focus our attention on self-love and things that serve us, so that we may better serve the world.

When we make a conscious choice regarding what we think about rather than just letting our brain run rampant, a funny thing happens…you realize that you are not your thoughts! You are, rather, the observer behind them; the conscious listener per se. And you realize as well that this consciousness you are, is ever-present, and infinite and if you’re anything like me when this hit my heart, an unimaginable wave of peace will overcome you.

I think we’d all agree that living in peace where you feel aligned and balanced would sound great to anyone, right? And I’m confident that anyone can live that way, regardless of what circumstances we many find ourselves in. This doesn’t mean repressing emotions or pushing down feelings. This is a simple shift in how we handle things and process our feelings. We are peaceful because we are confident, strong and can trust our own decisions. We are aligned because of the choices we are now making in our lives that serve our needs and allow us to do what we love. We are so much stronger than we’ve ever been taught to believe and perhaps that is the first belief we must truly take into our hearts as our own to overcome all others that are not.

*This article is dedicated to all the kick-ass souls out there who had the guts to leave jobs they hated to make a living doing what they love! Have a safe and awesome Labor Day weekend (if you’re here in the States with me, of course.) 🙂

The Simplest Way to Find Your Purpose

What does it mean to have a purpose in life? I guess the better question is, what does it mean to you? And do you have yours?

Personally, I feel that to have a purpose in your life is simply to have come to the realization that by following your joy and living in joy IS living purposefully; because if you think about it, whenever anyone does anything they enjoy doing, they are ALL IN. They are doing, being, and living…with PURPOSE.

And this is the key! Purpose in and of itself is not something we ever need to find or discover, but rather simply acknowledge is ever-present and unfolding through our own creative expressions. Unfortunately, this is not something we are taught in school and many of let go of our instinct to follow our joy at a very young age. We simply stop creating from that place of authenticity and rather let the outer world begin to mold us instead. And while that not entirely a bad thing, we as humans need a serious wake-up call in how we are living and dying because in this day and age the terms are becoming synonymous.

Now, I’m not talking about Mom letting you stick your finger in a light socket and hurt yourself just because you think it might be “fun” at the moment. What I mean is, if you are coloring and really into it, you are living purposefully as a creative child…in joy. And whenever possible, it is a parent’s responsibility to let children be joyous. So, I’m offering an example of a situation when it might be okay to let a child keep coloring into his “bath time” if you can see how happy and engaged he may be…the bath can wait a bit longer, can it not?

When we snap children abruptly out of their joy, we teach them immediately to become people-pleasers. They learn that their joy is not very important and may even end up adults who feel bad about feeling good (sound familiar to anyone?). Now, there is, of course, good measure in teaching social skills to encourage sharing, kindness, and compassion, however, it is vital to never sever a child’s connection to their knowledge of how important it is to follow their joy. This is perhaps the greatest lesson we can learn from them.

If you ask someone if they’re happy, do you notice how many people will actually pause before they answer? Sadly, most people have NO idea what makes them happy, they just know that “happiness” is something they are supposed to want. As if it is some dreamy ideal that will always just be out of arm’s reach and if they just work hard enough and put their own joy aside long enough…it will be “earned”.

NO.

It doesn’t work that way. We do not “earn” happiness or joy! But we sure do spend a ton of time keeping it from ourselves and convincing ourselves how undeserving we are of it; all the while telling ourselves it’s exactly what we are “working towards”. It’s the perfect paradox to keep us in victim/savior mode and the cogs of dissonance turning. Why oh why do we do this to ourselves?

Happiness is a not a concept or tangible object. It is a choice, a state of mind; of being. It is not something we put on someone we love to do for us, fueled by expectations and wrapped in conditions that must be adhered to. Happiness is ours. It always has been and always will be. It is only when we give it up to another, do we surrender to the false belief that we no longer have the power or the choice to be happy, but now must earn it from outside sources.

Looking at the state of our society today, you can see how this has played out with so many people taking depression and anxiety medication, bullying, eating disorders, etc. It’s like no one knows who they are, only who they were told to be, and are so emotionally off-balance because they feel they are failing at life for not fitting a mold that was never meant for them to begin with.

It is usually when we have run out of resources, excuses, or both that we finally surrender to the fact that the only way out of our suffering is through it. The second we choose to ALLOW joy into our space, our consciousness, our life, it WILL come. And once it does, the fears your face will always dissipate by simply doing so, thus igniting the flood of creative expression which flows and reconnects you to your purpose.

Some of us can spend an entire lifetime trying to find out what we are even doing here. And sadly, some of us may never find out because we get caught up in the search. But it doesn’t have to be that way…for any of us. Because to find your purpose really is as simple as following your joy. When you are doing what you love, you are literally creating a portal that creates a space that acts as a beacon for others to do the same.

Like the saying goes, if you want love…be love…and to have love remember you are love. And to see change…we must first be the change we wish to see…XOXO

Come on Hear the Noise – Tuning Into Your Own Resonance

In this day and age, it almost seems impossible to get away from the noise of everyday life. And what’s funny is we even go towards the noise to get away from the noise! What I mean is, we might throw on our headphones and jam some Led Zeppelin to drown out the noise of the guys outside throwing screaming trees into a chipper. You get the idea…Image result for sound music healing quote

So, why are some sounds “pleasant” and others just not-so-much? And why do some sounds appeal to one crowd and yet appall another? And furthermore, why can some sounds even be used as weapons while others are so gentle and calm they can lull babies to sleep? Well, big surprise for my regular readers here, but it all comes back to energy. 🙂 Well, more so pertaining directly to frequency or vibration and resonance. The size of the wave, people. And basically what the wave is attracted to!

Places in nature naturally carry high vibrations which are healing and vitalizing to the Soul. This is because trees and plants are biologically connected to Mother Earth and speak to one another (and us if we stop to listen) via Spirit (life-force) energy or “Mana”. Think Avatar, if you will. This is why being in nature aptly and immediately reduces stress and anxiety. It also helps quite a bit to be away from all of the Wi-Fi and microwaves that we are constantly bombarded by living in cities.

Back to resonance and frequency/vibration…

I always thought it was so funny when you’d see on some random sitcom the cranky grandmother yelling at the kid to “turn that crap down!” and then goes on to tell a long drawn out story about how music today is horrible and nothing like it was when she was growing up.

Doesn’t every single generation feel this way about the next, though? I know that I do! Only I guess I’m weird (no surprise) because my favorite music is actually from the ’60s. Anyway, the point is that we all are drawn to that which we are tuned into; that we are in resonance with. If we only like a specific kind of music then we might want to look at how we are limiting ourselves in other areas of our lives. Ironically, people, I’ve met that love all kinds of music are some of the most easy-going, down-to-earth, kind-hearted people I’ve ever met. Perhaps it is because they can intuitively get into resonance with many different frequencies?

I find the area of sound and Cymatics fascinating. If you are unfamiliar with Cymatics, please check out the video below because pardon my French, it’s some seriously awesome shit.

It’s not the easiest thing in the world to tune out the chaos of life, but fortunately, there are tools like meditation and breathing exercises and MUSIC lol to get us through! 🙂

Have a vibrational weekend!
