 1. Haircutting scissors/ shears

They are the most commonly used tools when it comes to cutting hair. They are specifically designed to cut the hairs and they have such a design that puts less stress on the fingers at the same time allowing the stylist to cut the hair in a more professional and comfortable way. With time passing by, more and more changes are made in the way haircutting scissors are used, and more professional hair scissor are being launched. They are being made more comfortable leaving no scope of developing any complexities in the stylist’s hands.

2. Thinning and texturizing shears

As their name suggests, they are used for thinning the hairs thereby allowing the customize them in the way a respective person wants. They are similar to scissors in design except they have teeth fixed on both sides or blades. If you have stubborn hairs and hard hairs, you can use them to correct them in whichever way you want. However, when you go for buying them, you need to look at the number of teeth present, how far they are placed, whether the teeth are on both sides. 3. Hair clippers

They are used to cut hair very short. They are very effective and need fewer efforts to trim the hairs. They work faster than the scissors with less effort. However, they are usually used to make small cuts. They work in a very precise way. They function like scissors but they have two sharp razors on both sides that move back and forth, cutting all hairs that come between them. It has a small electric motor fixed in it that makes it oscillate from side to side.

 4. Straight razor and razor comb

They are nothing but a blade with teeth on the one side, they are used to texturize the hairs. The straight razor is usually used once the work of the scissors has been done. They give more of a new design to the hairs, making them more stylish. They make your hair more jagged and textured style.

 5. Neck trimmer

Once the cutting is done by the scissors, leaving the edges are very rough and random-looking. This is when they are used to set the edges into a better look. They are similar in design to the hair clipper but they are precise. Unlike hair clippers,  they can cut the smallest hair and can give your hair your desired look.

 6. Comb

A comb is also the most common tool that is used by the stylish. A comb assists the stylish to straighten the hairs and cutting hairs through the clippers and scissors. When your hairs are entangled into each other, making it is hard for the stylish to get the sense of how exactly he has to approach cutting your hair. The comb helps him to set the hairs into the structure fit to cut them perfectly. Remember, the comb and scissors go hand in hand.
