You've probably have had a thought or two about getting into better shape and living a healthier life. To get fit, it takes time and consistency. You can not do it overnight, even when you feel you are doing all the right things to get into shape and healthy.

There are no shortcuts to a long-lasting healthy lifestyle. Start by breaking your exercise routine into small chunks so you can keep up with it since bouncing it all together can make you feel tired. Ensure that short bursts of exercise provide you with additional tips and not make it a tedious process all along.

Here are a few practical tips on how to get fit when you are short on time:

1) Shift to Healthy Diet

Diet is the most important part of your getting fit routine. Aim for 30 grams of protein per meal or one gram per pound according to your body weight. When choosing your plans, make sure that not all protein is created equal.

You can start by looking up for the high-quality sources that contain great protein fibers for your body. Remember that you have to consume proper proteins, like rice or beans or hummus and pita.

2) Drink more water

Flush out the toxins while staying hydrated. Drinking more water boosts your immune system and is a key to proper health and lose weight.

Activities like:

  • Drinking a tall glass of water before meals is beneficial for appetite suppressant
  • Add a piece of ice and it will burn more calories.
  • Drink at least 3-8 liters of water per day.

3) Focus on Full Body Exercises

Full body exercises help you with strength training.  Compound movements are exercises that engage two or more different muscle group. For example, squats, deadlifts and bench presses. Such type of work out not only helps you be fit but also allows you to move more efficiently in day-to-day life.

Reach to your target in less time while you work with full body exercises like mountain climbers, burpees and squats.

4) Set Goals

Setting goals might make your routine to lose weight an easier one. The reasons are that you can refer to it day by day. Plus, completing a goal can make you feel proud and will motivate you. Having goals encourages you to move forward. Making it a habit to regularly work towards your aim, will make it much quicker and fun.

5) Stop Making excuses

Majority of people who try to make it work fails only because they can't stop making excuses. They want to get fit but are too lazy to work for it. That’s something which kills their motivation. Hence, if you want to keep moving and to achieve to have a healthy life, you can to say goodbye to all your pleas.

6) Get Enough sleep

You might be thinking what does sleep have anything to do with a healthy lifestyle?

Well, it makes sense that if you aren’t getting enough sleep, it will eventually catch up with you. Your body needs enough rest to work out. While all work out will exhaust you without sleep. You need to make sure that you rest well and get enough sleep.

7) Work out in the Mornings

Working out when starting your day ahead will be beneficial to your mind and body both. It refreshes your mind while you exercise and adding extra hours to the day. Why not plan everyday routine in advance, in such a way you will get up and do it?

8) Utilize Social Media

You can browse through your social networks to find influencers to keep you on the track. Simply, follow some of the most well-known fitness gurus on the internet which you can find on social media and click on follow. So, every time you are on social media, you will always have enthusiasm.

9) Find the Workout You Love

While you are already browsing through the internet why not go through some workout routine? That way, you can find the exercise which you love and focus on it instead of merely browsing the web.

10) Keep a Diary

Diary will come handy when you want to plan out your regular workout in advance. You can keep track records of how many calories you have burned or how much protein you can have each day. Besides, you can always ask for professional advice from a fitness enthusiast on following a routine.
