Astrology Overview for March 09-15, 2020
The week begins the potent super Full Moon in the sign of Virgo. This is also known as the worm Moon due to it being the time in the northern hemisphere when the worms come up through the ground, readying the earth for planting to begin for the season's crops.
There is something supremely symbolic about this particular Full Moon in Virgo. The is the sign of virtue and also physical health purity. The Sun's location however in the sign of Pisces, which is associated with more spiritual and psychological health is in conjunction with Neptune the planet of mystery the acute symbolism comes from the spread of Covid 19, which is about as Neptunian an outbreak as is possible. This is difficult to identify, has not been quantified as to its original source, is having intangible implications for the welfare of the world, and has had a particular impact on people who have travelled in close confinement on ocean liners, Neptune of course being the ruler of the sea.
Of course the Coronavirus is not limited to a maritime environment, but tracing the virus and containing it are proving to be very difficult. This is rather what Neptune is like, gassy, imperceptible, swirling, misty, and clearly the energies of Virgo which are much more practical, are going to be the need for us all to be more careful about personal sanitation and basic health care, in the months ahead
Also linked to this Full Moon is Jupiter, the planet of travel, international affairs, and expansion. However it is in a less favourable part of its cycle in the sign of Capricorn, and it it is interesting how travel companies, airlines, airports and ports are coming very much into focus in this crisis.
Still, humans have existed on earth for a very long time, and despite our best efforts to threaten our existence, the chances are fightback against this infection will come, even if it is going to require a supremely collective effort. And paradoxically Mars' positive link to Neptune, can see forces mobilised to start to counter the threat
From Monday to Thursday this week Venus continues to combine with Uranus, which is unlikely and one that can promote freshness and spontaneity in relationship situations. But it can also point towards relationships coming to a close which are broken beyond repair. Uranus is about asserting our individuality, but also excitement and spontaneity, so if you are finding an involvement rather dull, look to find ways to reinvigorate it with your partner.
Paradoxically Jupiter this week can also provide the potential for some kind of bounce-back. So in our personal circumstances if we have been finding it difficult to see progress, this and Jupiter combining with Mars on Saturday and Sunday, can bring a more go getting constructive energy to the fore.
