Astrology Overview for December 23-29, 2019
Welcome to Christmas week. It pops from the off with Venus and Uranus squaring which could lead to some surprise mixing and mingling and even a raunchy clinch under the mistletoe. But if you are wanting something more long lasting, it may be best to hold just a little of yourself back! Involved? Well, a secret could be revealed or even a bit of a niggle, but this may not be a long lasting glitch, as long as both parties can agree to be flexible, and let anything that is not too wounding go.
But this can be a special week, no doubt. The Sun is combining with go-getter Jupiter for the first time in 12 years in the sign of Capricorn. As said before, not Jupiter's best position in Fall, but it could provide some much needed levitation after the bruising intensity of Saturn and Pluto's transit through this sign, and especially in the last six months or so. Jupiter is a lovely counter point to the restriction of Saturn, but Saturn's rulership of Capricorn can give Jupiter more self discipline and see him less gung-ho. But with Uranus also angling to the two, variety can be the spice of life, even for the generally steady Eddie signs of Taurus (Uranus) and Capricorn (Sun, Jupiter, Ceres, Saturn and Pluto and from this Sunday Mercury). So it may be a time to break out, whether it is our usual patterns for this time of year, or to manifest something deeper within our beings.
All week Mercury forges a fine Semi-Sextile to Mars, so ideal for chatting away to those people we encounter, and perhaps there can be some good conversations about self-employment, business and generally marshalling our resources, with all this Capricorn energy to the fore.
On Christmas Day the Moon passes through sociable Sagittarius, and meets Mercury, so that's likely to be fortuitous for many people. I hope you have a peaceful day, and if you are spending it alone, I have done this too, so my thoughts will be with you. Salute! If you are in company, have a wonderful time too.
Thursday sees a quite amazing Solar Eclipse in Capricorn, and this is buoyed by Jupiter and by a three degree Orb or gap, Uranus. This is going to hopefully lift spirits. We live in momentous times, and for many people who get or are getting what they want and need, sadly there are plenty that are not, so challenging any ways of looking out for those less fortunate, amongst the general hubbub and likely retail or online frenzy, will be a fine way to balance things out.
Finally, on Sunday, Mercury, the solar system's smallest planet, linked to communication, business, commerce, deals, agreements, the media, post, travel and some say, the ruler of Astrology, makes its way into Capricorn too. So those inventive ideas Uranus has been pushing to embrace can be the subject of much conversation as the week draws down.
