Astrology Overview for August 10-16, 2020
As the week begins Mercury continues in a tense right angle to Uranus. This can create some nervous tension, or act to liberate us in some way, by pushing back against something or someone that has been inhibiting our space or style.
Should stresses strike home, we can do worse than embrace the wonderful sextile between Jupiter and Neptune, which promotes healing and tranquillity all week. Mind, we may need it. Why? Well, Mars continues its epic clash with Pluto, which began late last week, and then from Thursday starts to agitate with Saturn. This latter influence can create inhibition. The former, a battle of wills. This may be played out inside of ourselves or in a relationship, perhaps one with someone in a position of influence, either professionally or within our personal situation. Neither Mars nor Pluto likes to take a step backwards so this can ramp up some kind of confrontation.
Also on Tuesday, the Quarter Moon in Taurus, can see us keen to splash out on something, or be more liberated with our resources. If we can afford it, why not? But equally, someone close to us may not appreciate the generosity or kindness that we have shown, and may need reminding that their expenditure and lifestyle is their choice, not ours.
The Sun also forges Quincunxes to both Neptune and Pluto this week, so any creative strand needs to balance the lowering of energy of the former, and the intense drive of the latter.
Uranus also begins a Retrograde, one which will last 'till mid January next year. This asks us to really think about the parts of life that we are holding onto tight, perhaps fearful of change, or in contrast having the confidence to keep going with changes that are in the pipeline, even if these do leave us feeling unsettled.
Saturn and Sunday do see a fine link between the Sun and Mercury, one which can give energy to our more creative or social hopes and as Venus and Uranus link well, any home changes, decluttering, surprise visits or alterations can act like a breath of fresh air.
