So, fellow humans…what on Earth are we doing here? Perhaps the oldest question amongst the world of philosophy right up there with, “To be, or not to be…”, it is one that has perplexed the best of us for as long as history itself existed.
Are we destined to walk a preordained path? Or are we capable of shaping our fate to our will?
Well, it depends on who you ask, but for me personally, my answers are “yes” and “yes”. I believe that while we are immensely more powerful than we’ve ever been taught in modern society, that on another level, we all succumb to be a part of something greater than ourselves. A team, a church, a family or organization; humans yearn to commune and history shows that we tend to thrive in groups more than we do as solitary creatures.
Religious or not, we all must admit that we have experienced at one point in our life a situation where we felt completely out of control. And at one point or another, turned to something, or someone outside of ourselves for a new perspective, or advice on how to traverse a path we somehow can no longer see clearly.
So, is it true? Are certain experiences destined to occur regardless of our will, focus, or plans? Or are we all victims of our own sub-conscious creations, each creating their own strand to expand the web of life. Science confirms we are all energy and that on a molecular level, there is nothing truly “solid” no separate about any of us. In fact, the only difference is what is called our “resonance” or electric frequency we are emitting at any given time.
Could varying levels of resonance act to push one event to come to fruition over another? Absofreakinglutely. If you are mindful enough to notice, when our day starts out “bad” and we trip over the coffee table, it is our reaction that acts to define the mood or energy of the rest of our day. Think about it…how quickly do we say out loud to ourselves when we are running late in the morning, “Well, gonna be one of those days…” without a second thought that we have just acted to manifest that very kind of day?
So, in that sense, we ARE on some level admitting we are victims of circumstance, but is that entirely true? Perhaps if we had chosen to awaken 30 minutes earlier, we wouldn’t have tripped over the coffee table, causing us to be late and thus put out there that we WANT a shitty day.
If we know anything of energy it is that it is always moving towards or away from something else. And that while like minds might think alike, when it comes to energy, two positives will repel one another, not attract. Perhaps this can be likened to how we organically act as mirrors to one another, always attracting those towards us who will bring us exactly the type of energy that will help us learn something we are not currently aware of even if we do not like how it is delivered. As the saying goes, if you’re open-minded, everyone and everything is your Teacher.
In a sense, we can stay at the “level of resonance” we choose, regardless of knowledge acquired. You see, knowing something is not worth anything until it is applied. Without application, it truly serves no good purpose and will fester in its own way until it is released. This is not subject only to harbored secrets or betrayals we may be ashamed of and thus buried away under our proverbial mind rug, but includes our gifts, talents, generosity, and compassion. If we know better, we do better and not to sound cliche but knowledge truly is power.
“The best way to predict your future is to create it.” – Abraham Lincoln
When used to serve others, power will expand your energetic reach and lift you into higher resonance (trust, love, collaboration). When you work to serve only yourself, it will constrict your energy and pull you into lower resonance (fear, lack, competition…) I’m not saying let yourself go without, not at all, but rather when we serve ourselves from a place of knowing that everything is connected, there is no room for guilt, shame, or separation. We begin to realize that when we take care of ourselves we are better suited to care for others, who are merely extensions of ourself.
We all know we live in a world of 3-D, but we are MULTIdimensional beings and the wholeness of who we are spans across all time, space and dimensions of reality. If we can remember our power in times of grief and struggle, we ultimately allow that inner fire to act as the propellant to ignite our greatest potential.
Always remember, no matter how “bad” a day may seem to be going, if you give yourself the gift of presence; your full attention within that moment, you are also claiming power to the fact you can actually make it any kind of day you choose for it to be, regardless of what “happens to you”.
When we act from the heart, rather than the mind, we leave little room to doubt the natural flow of intuitive energy that flows within each and every one of us. The same energy that if we stop and tune into, plays a song only those within the same resonance can hear. This is why when we feel confident, we attract those that see what we FEEL about ourselves. Also, when we are feeling insecure we attract those that bring out what we are AFRAID to feel; which is the fact that we truly do create ourselves and our lives with each and every choice.
We can choose to see life as a road map someone else designed and take the safe route, or we can turn the map over and create our own path, whether traveled before by another or not. That’s what great about killing your subdued attachment to fate… its death allows the destiny of your creation to burst forth into life.
