In this edition of Russell Brand’s Trews, Russell (sort of) “debates” Stephen Fry on the question: “Is there a God?” Using excerpts from a recent interview on UK TV, where Fry shares his atheist beliefs, Russell shares his counter opinion. But while he calls himself a believer, he readily admits that nobody really knows if there is a god. The important part, says Russell is that we acknowledge our unity with one another and treat each other in a way that will create more harmony on our planet.

With nearly 3,000 votes cast, the results of Prospect’s world thinkers 2015 poll are now in. Voters came to the Prospect website in large numbers through Twitter and Facebook, and from many countries around the world. The top 10 of last year’s poll was dominated by thinkers—including the winner, economist and philosopher Amartya Sen—whose work focused on the social, political and environmental challenges posed by economic growth in the developing world.

Russell Brand goes off on Apple and the spying tactics of America’s NSA and Brittain. Admittedly, he’s a tad harsh on the company (that undoubtedly does have some employees that do care about the users of the iwatch) but he does make a lot of good points (and cites some good sources) about our right to privacy and the uncomfortably cozy relationships between big information and tech Corporations (like Apple, Google, and Facebook) and various world governments.
