Usually, we only ask ourselves “is it worth it?” when something is expensive. But practicing it even for cheap items can be applicable, too. Plus, those cheap purchases can rack up into an expensive loss in our budget or savings. We lessen our carbon footprint as well when we avoid unnecessary or excessive purchases. Think about the trash that comes off from purchases (packaging, containers, labels, tags, etc).

Just because something is free does not mean we are entitled to it. Think first if it is really needed else leave it alone for someone who might actually need it. It is also nice to go thrift shopping because aside from saving on a few bucks, we get to repurpose things rather than them adding up to dumpsites. Minimalism is quite an environmental friendly practice. Green living brings peace of mind to everyone.
