“Climate: The Movie” (watch below) is a new documentary directed by British filmmaker Martin Durkin that challenges the premise that catastrophic human-induced climate change is an irrefutable fact, aiming to counter the false scientific narratives on the topic. The film shows graphs of mainstream studies and official data that do not support claims of increasing extreme weather events like hurricanes, droughts, heat waves, and wildfires.
It also provides clear evidence that current temperatures and atmospheric CO2 levels are not unusually or worryingly high compared to the last 500 million years of Earth's history. Most importantly, the film shows that there is absolutely no evidence that changing CO2 levels have driven climate changes in the past.
“Climate: The Movie” includes interviews with a number of prominent scientists who argue that the data and historical evidence simply do not support the claims of catastrophic, man-made climate change that have become so pervasive in our society, including:
- Professor Steven Koonin (author of ‘Unsettled’, a former provost and vice-president of Caltech),
- Professor Dick Lindzen (formerly professor of meteorology at Harvard and MIT),
- Professor Will Happer (professor of physics at Princeton),
- Dr John Clauser (winner of the Nobel prize in Physics in 2022),
- Professor Nir Shaviv (Racah Institute of Physics),
- Professor Ross McKitrick (University of Guelph),
- Willie Soon (Malaysian astrophysicist and aerospace engineer)
The first part of the film delves into the science, examining temperature and carbon dioxide levels throughout Earth's history. It presents graphs that clearly shows that the “climatic extremes” we so often hear about are not actually extreme at all, and that there is no evidence that changing CO2 levels have ever “driven” climate change in the past.
The documentary then explores the political and funding aspects of the climate change debate. It suggests that the climate alarm has been embraced and promoted by those who favor bigger government, as the proposed solutions involve higher taxes and more regulation. The film also sheds light on the pressure faced by scientists and others who dare to question the climate alarm, including the withdrawal of funding, rejection by scientific journals, and social ostracization.
The film also delves into the corruption within the scientific community to suppress alternative viewpoints, using the example of Professor Sallie Baliunas as a case in point. Her work on the Sun's influence on climate change was suppressed and marginalized by the scientific establishment, leading her to take early retirement and seek solace as a shepherdess.
It's important to share “Climate: The Movie” with everybody you know because governments are trying to impose severe restrictions to combat their bogus climate change agenda. For example:
- Limits on the amount of nitrogen-based fertilizers that can be applied to croplands to reduce nitrous oxide emissions.
- Limits on the number of livestock animals (cattle, pigs, etc.) that can be raised on a farm to reduce methane emissions from manure. Also, requirements for capturing and managing methane from manure storage facilities.
- Carbon pricing and offset programs including agriculture in carbon pricing schemes, such as carbon taxes or cap-and-trade systems.
- Initiatives that encourage the consumption of insect-based and plant-based proteins.
- Carbon taxes: Imposing a tax on the emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases.
- Emissions trading schemes (ETS) or cap-and-trade systems: Setting a cap on total emissions and allowing companies to trade emission allowances.
