A Brave New World has been in my consciousness often recently. Maybe it has for you too? So I did some investigation to understand Aldous Huxley a bit more and became fascinated with his spiritual writings. I write more of this at the end of this article.
First though, I believe the words from Our Lady is very appropriate. She began appearing to Clark Strand in Woodstock, NY in 2011.
Words from Our Lady of Woodstock, current day…..
People say that the world is dying, but I tell you that She is pregnant and near to giving birth. So little of what you see and understand about your world is true.
You hold the broad outlines of a coming collapse, but you cannot foresee the disappearance of the world that you have made.
Your world is not My world. But My world is yours, and if you will let Me I will lead you there again.
All of your fears, all of your worries, all of your anxious preoccupations—these have a single root cause: The world you have made cannot endure, and you cannot foresee the world to come.
If you look only at the distaff, all you see is the unraveling. If you look at the spinner’s hands, however, you will see that threads are being made. And if you follow those threads, you will see how they are plaited and woven into cloth. The unraveling will command the attention of those who have no faith. It will become the thing they look at, and for many it will be all that they see.
You must know that nothing is destroyed without something else being created, and you must have faith that this is so. I am taking that which has no value and giving that which is good in return. Nature does this constantly. What has become spent, what has exhausted its own life force, is taken and used to feed other life.
This is like the turning of a spinning wheel. The distaff unravels, but the threads come together. And out of all those threads something new and wonderful is being woven. When someone dies, at the funeral the priest recites the words “Ashes to ashes, dust to dust…For from the dust wast thou taken, and to dust thou shalt return.” But ashes do not bring forth bodies, and nothing grows from dust.
Already in your ancient scriptures, the soil is dry. The Earth has lost Her vigor. Think how different it would feel to say, “Dirt to dirt.” For dirt is a living thing. You were brought forth from Life, and it is to Life that you return at death.¹
My friends, we are One and in this together. Be courageous, feel healthy, feel whole for it is through our feelings that miracles manifest. Believe this truth and live well, always, in all circumstances. This is the Way. We are experiencing the creation of a Brave New World.
Did you know that Aldous Huxley was a spiritual man? He wrote for a publication called Vedanta and The West from 1941-1960 which was under the direction of Swami Prabhavananda. From the Vedanta came Huxley's book, The Divine Within. He also published The Genius and The Goddess and critically acclaimed, The Perennial Philosophy. Read here for free, Knowledge and Understanding, by Aldous Huxley.
Much love to you, Julia.
