Once upon a time, several years ago, I, Julie woke up. You see I had been sleepwalking. I didn’t even know I was sleepwalking until I woke. Then my life took on a deeper meaning as I started digging to find the ME that I had lost.
What I did
It began serendipitously, I found something I desired as I was doing something else. Yes, mysteriously. What I found could not be held or even seen. I had always known life was more than what we could see and we all lived on different planes of existence, experience. This explained why many differing perspectives existed about the same subject matter. However, I mined deeply through the wisdom of others via books or recordings. Also through deep meditation when my life was chaotic and stressed. I really didn’t know how to mediate, so I listened to recordings that taught me to be still, to breathe and to let go.
The More of Life
In spite of the chaos and through deep inner explorations, I discovered a very peaceful place. I was able to relax and walk more confidently even though most of my outward circumstances had not changed. I lived all of my life as a Christian, attending church and serving. It gave me joy to do so. I was raised in a Christian home and society. Yet, what I discovered took me beyond my Christian faith to a greater arena. The arena of saints that went before us. Those that seemed to be higher up, to have gained a status that was not attainable by ordinary people. Saints, that experienced the MORE to life. And in this new day, the MORE was available to me as well.
New Found Truth
It’s not that I left my Christian life. The words of Jesus became richer, deeper. “The Kingdom of Heaven is within you” took on a new meaning. The Aramaic translation of His words took on soul work that lead me to know, as Him, not just in Him. What did I really learn? That we are all One. Jesus taught this with every fiber of His being. “Just as I am, so are you.”
My Prayer
My faith, as a religious and spiritual experience changed. I let go of the religion and fell deeper into the mystery of who I really was. Along this time, I also began practicing non-judgment of others. It was a plea, a prayer at first. “Please, my higher self, my unseen helpers, Jesus help me not to judge another or myself.” This practice saved me many heartaches and is a continuing practice.
Results
Also, as a result, my health improved. The peace I felt within and then the balance that occurred within my body gave me new found strength and resilience.
One thing I know, is that we have the potential to become stronger, more peaceful and less judgmental in the coming days. Less judgmental especially includes of our own self. This storm, we and our entire world is experiencing, is a purging event. What is really important? What can we know individually and as humanity?
The Truth for All
There is much beauty to be mined within each of us. Divinity is within every man, woman and child. No exception. You are a divine being. You and I were created in the image of the creator.
How?
As Jesus taught: Ask, seek and knock…the door will be opened and you will find. When you ask to find your heart that is true, your desire will be met. Ask to be filled with love and light. Ask to know the truth of who you are. Listen in the quiet and touch the Earth as much as you can. The Earth is our Mother and she gives us much love, compassion and encouragement.
May you find your true self, uncover your heart and be at peace my dear ones.
