Astrology Overview for Nov 26-Dec 02, 2018
The Sun continues its upbeat conjunction with Jupiter, the planet of growth optimism and excitement, and through to the middle of the week. This can give us a sense that anything is possible, and if we invest enough endeavour and perspiration this can certainly be true. But just like last week Mars provides a potential catch, angling as it does in a tense square. The one thing we mustn't do is try too hard, or to force what we want to do onto others. We can invest our energy and time, and a sense of high spiritedness, but equally we need to be conscious that trying to go too quickly, taking shortcuts, or demanding others support for all will prove to be totally counter-productive .
Ironically Mars forges a very positive link with Saturn all this week. So where we do progress things in a well thought through, constructive and step-by-step way, more lasting progress is certainly possible.
Relationships however continue to be influenced by the opposition between Venus and Uranus. Because Venus can be seen as being passive, and Uranus disruptive, it is possible that the status quo could change in one tie if one partner feels they have given more than they are receiving recognition for, or subjugating their individuality to the needs of a partner.
Equally if any relationship has just become a little dull and predictable, Venus opposite Uranus gives us a chance to shake things up and find ways to reinvigorate proceedings, and where possible to be more spontaneous. For solo folks, surprise developments, attractions and flirty moments are all possible. Meeting someone new in a way which will become a lasting relationship, is less possible with this aspect but not impossible. This aspect also T-square's the North Node which is newly arrived in the sign of Cancer. An ability to listen to other people's viewpoints and to understand them without judgement will be very helpful. After all none of us owns anyone, so even in a very committed relationship, individuals need to breath.
Friday sees a Quarter Moon in the sign of Virgo. Squaring as it does with the Sun in Sagittarius. The balance we need to find here is between our own need for independence and freedom against our obligations and responsibilities. Therefore the end of this week is not a great time to promise more than we can realistically deliver, or to overburden ourselves with too many practical commitments.
