Feeling Split? How to Make Duality Work For You

For something to come into physical existence there has to be two opposing forces coming together in agreement for a common cause. In our case, the trinity lies with Spirit of the Invisible world, Soul of the Visible world, which when come together create/manifest our physical body, the vehicle we carry and travel within as a Spirit/Soul split during each and every one of our “human” incarnation journeys to Earth.

You may have noticed that our world is dualistic in nature. The Universe is always coming into balance with itself; forever infinite, forever expanding and pure Consciousness. We live in a world of extremes and what we perceive to be opposites. Up & down, black & white, alive & dead, abundant & scarce, etc. are all examples of common opposites. And it is through the use and actions around these opposites that the forces of nature and creation play, fight and dance to find and regain balance in all forms of matter and existence. But what if I told it was all an illusion?

The physical world is truly fascinating! So are the physical senses we are gifted with to perceive and interact with what’s “out there”. It is quite easy to see how many of us humans get caught up in the illusion of it all with how vivid and dramatic life can get. And to top it off, most of us are pretty much filled up with the beliefs and conditioning of other people, rather than truly knowing ourselves and what makes our hearts sings and our Spirits shine.

But sometimes and more so lately with the current wave of energy going through the human collective consciousness right now…there are people who stop to question the things that they are told and taught and start asking questions; about themselves, about others and pretty much about everything they can think of in every corner of our history. And if they keep looking, with courage and faith in themselves and the process, they will eventually discover that all of the answers they are looking for are coming from the same place, over and over…within themselves.

This is perhaps the key to opening the door to real consciousness awakening. Once you realize that the source of your divine guidance lies within; that you truly do have a thread of Godself within you as does every human on the planet, something changes within you at a core level and is never again the same. You begin to see that you’ve been reacting to life, not creating it. And somehow now that just feels all wrong.

You will start to see that things that used to pull you, you can simply let go off now without the fear of guilt and shame piling down on top of you afterwards. And people who left you feeling unappreciated and drained of life-force energy will simply fade out of your life, because again once you’ve realized the Source of your creative power, you will not allow yourself to be treated any less than the loving being you are. In other words, by connecting to and actually listening to your inner Spirit (higher self, intuition, whatever you like to call it), you are actually loving yourself more; putting yourself into a higher vibration and teaching others now how to treat you. Do not be surprised if people do shift out (or new people into) your life! 🙂

So, if you are used to living a reactive life by letting the external world determine your moods, next move, etc. then once you turn that around and start living from the internal out to the external, which is proactive/creative, empowered mode, your life will honestly never be the same again. Especially when you finally see how much control you actually do have over your own life. I don’t even like to use that word (“control”) because when you are coming from Spirit, it’s more of a sweet surrender, an inner knowing, a divine-cosmic trust. There’s no fear to initiate a need to control anything, really.

I truly believe that is how we make duality work for us rather than against us. We simply need to make the switch from living from reactive (external) to proactive (internal) mode. That which brings us back to balance. Because in doing so, you get a glimpse of the Observer who rests eternally at Zero-point, and with that comes the knowing it is YOU. You are not your thoughts and not your beliefs. You are not the labels you call yourself nor the boxes you fit yourself in. You are simply the Observer, in between each thought, each note, each breath…
