Air conditioners tend to be robust items however you need to take care of them properly or else they will fail. Here are a few reasons why your Commercial air conditioning is not performing as well as you would like.
Low Refrigerant
Refrigerant is the stuff in your AC that makes sure that your ac is cooling properly. It removes the heat and humidity from the air to give you a cool experience. Sometimes the refrigerant lines leak and you might not have enough material to cool the air.
Fixing this is not the same as replacing the canister of refrigerant. A proper technician needs to find the holes or the leaks in the pipes where the refrigerant is leaking and seal them off. This can be a time-consuming and arduous process.
Faulty evaporator coils
ACs evaporator coils help in absorbing the heat and making the air cool. Now sometimes there may be a buildup of ice around the coil which can lead to it not cooling properly. The coils need warm air circulating around it for it to cool the air passing through it.
When the airflow is not working properly there can be a buildup of ice around the coil and when that happens you will usually get warm air or no air coming out of your ACs interior unit.
Dirty Condenser Coils
The unit’s condenser coils get rid of the heat by expelling it through the outdoor unit. The condenser coil fails to work when there has been a lot of pollution or dust around it. The dust and grime clog it up and the heat transfer is stopped. This makes the AC work harder leading to order system failures such as leaks and breaks.
Broken Fan
Every AC has a fan that blows the air over the unit’s evaporator coil to cool the air. There is another fan that blows air over the outer unit’s condenser resulting in the heat being absorbed outside the building. If either fan breaks or is not working in an optimal manner then your Residential air conditioning Sydney will not be able to cool properly.
You can end up with poor airflow and other problems. The fans can get ruined due to a number of factors like a faulty motor or lack of lubrication or worn belts etc.
Leaks in the ducts
Ducts are pipes that carry the cool air from your AC to other parts of your room. If there are holes or breaks in the ducts the cold air escapes easily and proper cooling doesn't happen.
This problem usually applies to commercial ACs rather than personal ones since they use ducts to cool huge parts of a room. This factor also ends up driving your power bills away higher.
Problems with the Thermostat
If your thermostat isn’t calibrated properly then your AC doesn't exactly know which temperature to maintain. Although this problem is easy to fix, try to get a seasoned technician who can recalibrate and replace the broken thermostat resulting in effective cooling.
