Elemental Excellence: How to Live As a Spiritual Alchemist

We’ve all hit tough times at some point in our lives, but hopefully everyone reading this also has some amazing memories as well. While life is full of ups and downs and what we could label as “positive” or “negative” experiences, how we perceive those experiences and what we do with what we learn from those experiences, is how we ultimately become Spiritual Alchemists over our own lives.

When times are tough and we find ourselves struggling in our lives whether it be within our relationships, finances or health, we tend to right away base our state of being on the outside conditions relating to this area of our lives. While it’s definitely possible to live your entire life this way, it keeps one in a state of victim-hood and causes us to form dependencies and create expectations around other people, places and things. I’m not talking about counting on your husband to work and help pay bills; I’m talking about the perception that if he didn’t, that there’s then got to be something wrong with YOU.

Often when we can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, it’s nearly impossible to keep the faith and to trust that everything will work out in the end. But this is the process of becoming a Spiritual Alchemist in that we begin to not only listen to Spirit, but to use the signs and guidance it gives you to create a level of  “elemental excellence” in your life; one where you feel cared for, safe, abundant, creative, flowing and expansive.

To do this we must learn to daunting feat of TRUSTING. But this trust isn’t about sitting back and resting on our laurels and expecting magic to happen without us being involved or actually doing something to move towards our goals. This kind of trust is cosmic and infinite and is about conscious surrender. Surrendering to the fact there is nothing wrong with you and that nothing in you is lacking or missing. This leads to the knowing that anything showing up that has you convinced otherwise is mere illusion, albeit a persistent one.

And once you are fully resonating in this knowing, the trust in the Universe to deliver on the action you’ve put into motion will begin to flow like alchemic rain. Things that appear to be falling apart are actually falling into place. This is the time to always keep close to your heart the realization that without erosion, the pearl would never exist and this will ultimately invite you again to trust that your vision(s) you have for your ideal life are within you and that the seeds you’ve planted are in fact growing.

This is the test that all of the great Masters speak of from Gurus to Samurais; the keeping of peace within oneself regardless of outside goings-on; the knowing that the source of safety, security, peace, etc. resides within you at all times and it has only always ever been the belief we have about the “outside” world that gives it such a seemingly strong sense of control over the lives we lead.

Being able to mix creativity and creation in the midst of the perception of lack and struggle is true Spiritual Alchemy. We are all here to learn and grow and expand into our greatest potential and we are all given the gifts and tools we need to do this, regardless of where we are born, what we look like and how much cash our parents have in the bank at the time of our birth. Guaranteed certain hardships can appear solitary, or like you’re being singled out and shitted on by life itself. But it is what we do with all of the shit that matters.

We often get so caught up in and overwhelmed by everything that we just give up and surrender to the illusion. But if we take a leap of faith and trust and believe in ourselves when there’s no “outside” reason instigating us to, then THAT is true will-power. That is what will drive us forward and allow the truth of who we really are as creators come forth and from there it only expands. The more you move towards it, the bigger your cosmic playground will become. We just need to take that first step before the staircase appears, and trust fully that the ground will appear beneath your feet…

Spiritual Alchemy requires such faith and trust because it shows that you are serious about becoming a Master over your own life…which since it requires the deepest, most intimate level of letting go, the rewards are invaluable in that they will fill you up with a sense of infinite security. That’s the trick…once you are fully willing to let go of everything…the world is yours.

Taking the time to invest in yourself and your own personal development is priceless and if you take the leap, the Universe will respond accordingly. But we must be willing to create the magic in our lives and become the conscious creators we were meant to be, rather than wishing and wanting for the outside world to bring us peace. The act of looking inward rather than out will show us hidden recipes for success if we are just willing to look. Spiritual Alchemists are not letting hard times defeat them, but are rather using hardships, sorrow, fear, and struggle as fuel and mixing courage with creativity to develop etheric means of positive, empowered living.

So, we’ve learned that Spiritual Alchemy isn’t so much about control as it is awareness. Once you are aware of your personal power over your own life and “step up to show up” where life is calling you to develop, build on and share your gifts with the world, you by default lose your fear of not being enough, not having enough and not doing enough because you are full with the potential for creating Elemental Excellence in your life!  The fear becomes excitement, the sense of loss or resentment becomes growth and gratitude and life will only then continue to show for YOU in abundant ways right back… Remember it’s never what we think about; it is how we FEEL about what we think about!
