When we think of the word “relationship” most people know what you’re talking about and presumably even have a few of their own. Being born a human on planet Earth, you kind of have no choice and end up with all sorts of relationships in the form of “family” well even before we’re born.
Even the word itself implies an entangled web of sorts; implying that two or more things are in fact “relating” or interacting on some level. But we all know that there are no relationships on the entire planet that are that simple, mundane or boring, now don’t we?
So, what’s the point of relationships? Are they really all only a, “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” deal? Well, yes…sometimes that’s exactly the sole purpose of a relationship. But all of them? Definitely not.
You see, sometimes we find ourselves in a relationship we never wanted, were never looking for, never saw coming, and may not even realize we are in until a specific moment touches our hearts in such a way that the only measurable way to describe it is that time and space collide and force you to stop and embrace the beauty of truth, love, and the coming together of souls by simple “allowing”.
This doesn’t even have to be a romantic relationship. It could be as genuine as that little old lady you always overlooked at the bus stop each morning until one day you saw her fall and helped her up which lead you to a conversation that ended up actually having a deep effect on you. Perhaps it turns out she was a nurse in the same war that took your beloved Grandpa and this alone has formed a heart connection; a relationship.
Sometimes love shows up in our lives in the most unusual places and always the second we stop struggling so hard to find it. And sometimes we aren’t even aware we needed any in the first place until it lands deep within our hearts via delivery on the words of an old woman at a bus stop.
The more we open ourselves to knowing that love truly is everywhere and in everyone, no matter how hard they try to hide it behind emotions, insecurities, etc. the more we will begin to see love show up in our lives and thus gain access to play a more involved role in how your life actually plays out! Yes, this is a key part of empowerment and manifestation as it helps you maintain that higher vibration you need to stay in abundant living.
Furthermore, when we are able to maintain this awareness and insight into love and relationships, it allows us to turn them into what I like to call “creationships” in that you can now feel more empowered in any relationship you have in that you have a greater understanding of the other person involved and can adjust your perception and beliefs accordingly.
Oftentimes, relationships are so reactionary and two people simply act as mirrors for one another; bouncing back and forth their own hidden fears and doubts that have not been brought to the surface yet. This is an excellent, yet guaranteed to be an emotional way to learn and grow in life and the path most of us choose.
But some of us eventually realize that we don’t have to keep learning in this manner and we can go within instead of projecting onto other and reflecting back to them. This is a manner of learning in higher consciousness and will inevitably turn your relationships into creationships because you will have the power to work productively when issues arise rather than simply reacting emotionally as you may have in the past.
Knowledge is power, but in this case wisdom is application and when we apply the principle of patient acceptance and understanding when in relationships with other people, we will be answered with the same patient acceptance that will manifest in life as the happiness we are, the peace we feel within, and the light we ignite in those we relate to every single day.
