Common myths about the CBD Industry

When it comes to what you put into your body, there should be no room for misinformation. In this article, we explore 5 common myths about CBD that are often misunderstood.

Hemp and Marijuana are different names for the same thing = MYTH

Hemp is often confused with its relative Marijuana. Both are derived from Cannabis Sativa, and indeed, they look and smell the same. Their chemical makeup is very similar, but their different bringing up creates two central differences:

  • Marijuana plants are generally cultivated to contain both THC and CBD elements.
  • Hemp plants are cultured to contain mainly CBD with its medicinal benefits and remove most if not all THC.

Hemp, hemp oil or hemp products get you high = MYTH

Industrial grade hemp is bred to contain mainly medicinal CBD and less than 0.3% THC, which is the compound in marijuana responsible for getting you high. CBD is not psychoactive but admits all of the medicinal properties of Marijuana. So you can rest checked that you are getting all the best, without the high and with no hidden side effects.

CBD will make you fail your drug tests = MYTH

Drug tests only screen for THC because of its psychoactive qualities that are taken by some to block your work or fitness power. Thanks to the little amount of THC in full array CBD, you can rest checked that a morning cup of coffee with a few drops of SoCo CBD or a CBD edible won’t land you in any hot water or undesirable care.

The More CBD the better the benefits = MYTH

A common myth is the more the better, that the higher the acid of CBD, the greater the benefits. Well maybe for some things, but CBD, the common idiom couldn’t be further from the truth. Here is why: CBD is biphasic. For example, a low dose of CBD can offer all the same benefits but also be activating, while a high acid of CBD can make you sleepy and perhaps even fruitless. Aggregated with the fact that our bodies don’t build an allowance to CBD, in fact, some studies hint that we need less overtime to find similar cores.

All CBD oils are the same = MYTH

It’s a myth that all CBD is created equal. The market is still largely unstructured, as CBD is still unrecognized by the FDA. This means anyone can make CBD and call for that it is reliable.

This is an important myth to understand if you’re interested in using CBD for its medicinal benefits because this means that some products won’t offer the same therapeutic effects as others. To make sure you are getting the best quality CBD, it’s important to make sure that the company offers 3rd posse lab testing. SoCo Plant Power has done broad research and lab results that prove its honor, authority, and therapeutic effects.
