5 Ways To Develop Your Mediumship Skills

The ability to connect with non-physical beings is called mediumship. We all have the ability to make contact with our crossed over loved ones, humans and pets. It is during this time of year, the end of October when the veil is thinnest. When the veil is thin, contact with the other side is much easier to make. Veils are doorways to other dimensions where non-physical beings reside; spirit guides, crossed over loved ones, the angelic realm and masters of light. I have put together 5 different ways to help you develop your mediumship skills in a safe and easy manner that will bring you awesome results.

5 Ways To Develop Your Mediumship Skills

1. Meditation – Meditation raises your vibration and by raising your vibration you are able to connect with spirit more easily. Also, meditation helps us to discern whether messages are from us or from another spiritual entity. You will know who you are connect with without second guessing the information. You will be able to decide whether you would want to bring the energy and or spirit through or not by simply by being familiar with your own energy and comfort zone.
2. Put Up Your Channel of Energy – By creating a channel of energy you are putting yourself in a safe, protected environment where you are able to trust the information coming through. This channel keeps the session sacred for you, the person you are reading for as well as the spirit on the other side. To create the channel – envision a column of light going way above you as well as underneath you. Visualize gold, white, and iridescent colors moving around in this channel. When you are through with your session, step out of the channel.
3. Put Up Your Periscope – After you have stepped into your channel, see a periscope pop up over your crown chakra. Use this periscope to look around to see who is around yourself or the person you are attempting mediumship for. Usually the spirit will step forward and begin to identify themselves and then will provide messages for the person they are wanting to contact.
4. If A Spirit Is Not Coming Through, Do Not Go and Seek Them Out – If a person on the other side is not stepping forward as you open up the channel then do not go to grab them. This is a huge mistake that many make. There are many reasons why a spirit doesn't come through. Some reasons why are: they may be busy on the other side, the timing isn't appropriate for the receiver, they are still adjusting to being on the others side, and simply they don't feel that it is important at this time to connect.
5. Put Your Ego To The Side – The ego often wants attention for approval and using mediumship to get an emotional reaction from the person receiving the message. This is not a healthy way of going about spirit communication. When in the channel of energy (mentioned in #2) I suggest going into the session with a neutral attitude as the information comes through and do not be attached to the outcome. Some good questions to ask yourself to keep your ego in check are: Why am I interested in mediumship? Am I doing this for myself or for the opportunity to bring through healing messages for another? Do I need approval from the person I am sharing the messages with? Am I keeping my emotions in check? Am I in the best place for mediumship at this time?

It is important to not overdo spirit communication sessions. They usually do not last more than an hour. Sometimes the spirits come in and leave very quickly giving messages of validation that they are ok and are busy tending to their own spiritual evolution on the other side. When you are complete with your mediumship sessions, be sure to disconnect from the spirits and step out of your channel, then ground yourself by going outside, washing your hands, or saging yourself and your space afterwards. The session is then complete and I suggest thanking spirit for the opportunity to facilitate spirit communication sessions.
