It has been over decades since the reduce, reuse and recycle concept came out. To be precise, it came out back in 1976 and since then things got worse. If you think about it, things should have been better by now but that’s not the case.

Year by year, we humans kept neglecting the environment and now we are in a situation where we have to act. If we keep neglecting things even now, our future is definitely in danger. However, many initiatives have come forward towards the betterment of nature. So, it’s time even for individuals to make a difference.

One of the easy ways that you can begin with is going biodegradable. When we say go biodegradable we mean that you start purchasing biodegradable products. Biodegradable products are those which get broken down in the environment with the help of microorganisms over a period of time.

Use of biodegradable products is best for our environment as it does not need a method of disposal which further requires processes which harm the environment. Things like paper and textile are biodegradable and we all know that plastic is not.

So, if we start using biodegradable products we will help our environment heal. If every individual decides to act on it, we will definitely make a difference. Many people have already taken a step forward with something as small as coffee pods. You can get your biodegradable coffee pods australia online.

We are today sharing some reasons why we should go biodegradable. Let’s check them out!

Less Pollution

Well something that causes less pollution is exactly what our nature is asking from us. When we talk about biodegradable products, it reduces pollution in every way. Beginning from its production to disposal, these products cause minimal pollution.

As these products are manufactured or produced with no harmful chemicals, the pollution during production is minimum. Talking about the disposal, these products get decomposed on their own in the environment and they don’t cause any sort of pollution during disposal either.

The use of biodegradable products reduces the pollution that prevails in the environment. Use of plastic is reaching about a hundred million tons a year on a global scale. This much plastic will do nothing but take us a step forward towards destruction and to avoid it is in our hands.

Renewable & Recyclable

A renewable resource is something that we can never run out of and this is because we can naturally regain it. Biodegradable products are renewable as their manufacturing is from biomass which is one hundred percent organic.

As the manufacturing of biodegradable products is organic, it gets decomposed easily and we can get it back from our environment itself. The biomass includes trees, grass and such things which are abundant in our nature.

We all very well know what recyclable products are. Biodegradable products can be recycled pretty easily as recycling them uses very less energy. The reuse of such products is much feasible and it's nothing but an aid to our environment.

Requires Less Energy In Production

The energy requirement for non-biodegradable products is more than twice that of biodegradable products. Biodegradable products require the minimum amount of energy. Looking at the comparison of the energy requirement, if you think about it, twice as much biodegradable products can be produced in the same amount of energy. As the energy requirement is less, eventually the pollution is minimum.

Non Toxic

Biodegradable products are non toxic to the environment. It simply means that it causes no harm to our environment. Non biodegradable products like plastic contain chemicals and toxins that are hazardous to nature. These toxins and chemicals are released during the disposal which is dangerous. Biodegradable products do not contain any such hazardous toxins and get decomposed safely.

Minimum Carbon Emission

The amount of carbon emitted during the production of non-biodegradable products is dangerous and not acceptable to our environment. Not just production but even for disposal, if the product has to be burnt, the amount of carbon emission is tremendous.

When it comes to biodegradable products, there is minimum carbon emission during production as organic materials are utilized. Talking about disposal, there is no question of carbon emission as these products get decomposed with the help of microorganisms.
