It was a slight argument, nothing major. It went something like this. “I need, I desire to rest now, sleep. It’s too early to get up, I need my rest.”
“No you don’t, get up and write in your journal, rest is always available for you, but the open door of communication is wide now. Rise and write.”
I turn to get more comfortable in the bed. I want to sleep, but more than that I want to know. What will I glean from rising and writing?
I write: Continue to turn your face away from conditioned thought and change your behavior. Be willing to embrace the new and don’t fear the change that it will bring. Let go of the need to be proven, to be right, to be validated and trust. Just trust. You know how you to want to defend yourself, to show to yourself and others that you know what you are doing, that it makes sense and it’s a good course. Even yesterday as you were organizing and getting rid of ‘stuff’. You became defensive. Let go of that.
You know how you want to dance, to run, to play? Do that more. That is what connects you to You, to ME. It is in the gazing at the moon and the stars. It is in the wonder of the sunrise and the tickle of the blades of grass between your toes. It is the course feel of the sand and the coldness of the rock. It is rough bark of the tree and sweet fragrance of the blossom. It is the wetness on your tongue as the snowflake lands and becomes one with you. All of these connect you, enliven you, choose you, to dance. It is in this dance that you feel most alive and are most aligned with truth, peace, goodness, and love.
Relax in the expectations of what life is supposed to be about.
I thought I had that covered, I thought I am doing that?
Yes, that is true, but there is more. There is more to let go of. Be willing to do so. Be willing to fail, to fall, to rise, to walk, to run. Stop striving.
How am I striving? I thought I was just being, each day. What more should I be?
Don’t worry about it. Just be. Trust your intuition. It is there and you have done a fine job developing it. Trust it even more, and then even more than that.
Swallow instead of speaking. Don’t roll your eyes when you think, how stupid something is. Develop your compassion even more. You don’t have to solve problems, you only need to think move intuitively. Flow, it is all about flow. It is all about change, movement, release, kindness, and generosity. It is not about the tangible, but the intangible. Your inner environment is what I speak of, directly to you now. You are pleased with your outer environment and yes it is a reflection of you. You are at peace, that is a constant. Yet, you are more than you know. Trust this and continue to use your inner sight. It is strong and growing. You will see more, understand more, love more. This is your path. It is easy, you know it and It knows you.
Am I to share this conversation?
Yes. Many feel as you do. It will encourage them as it does you.
Thank you.
So what have I learned in this conversation with MYSELF?
- Continue to renew my mind and let go of conditioned thought. The conditioned thought affects my behavior.
- I renew my mind as I play and interact with the natural world.
- Some lessons need to be repeated over and over, just like learning to play a new song on the piano. Practice with variety, just like I change the sounds on the keyboard and play the same notes. It’s not boring, it’s interesting. Same notes, different sound.
- It’s not work. There is no striving. Being is doing.
- It is about the flow. It is about movement. It is about trust. It is about mastery. It is My path and it is unique.
- Be willing! Not strong-willed, but able willed.
- Trust my intuition even more and then, even more than that.
“In his book Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom, the poet John O’Donohue writes, ‘Your soul knows the geography of your destiny. Your soul alone has the map of your future, therefore you can trust this indirect, oblique side of yourself. If you do, it will take you where you need to go, but more important it will teach you a kindness of rhythm in your journey.’ The kindness of rhythm that you learn on life’s journey is but one of the gifts you will receive by following your inner guidance. But perhaps the most essential gift is lasting contentment.”
