Planets retrace their steps from time to time, and one of the most well-known retrogrades is of course Mercury, and this has just begun. This is going to influence your financial situation this week, which will need some care. However, with the Sun forging a great angle to Mars, your determination to better your lot is going to be immense. A love concern can also now be resolved.
Taurus 21 April – 21 May
You may find yourself rather unsettled this week and it might be that some of your hopes are affected by unforeseen obstacles. It doesn't mean to say that you can't overcome these, but it may require a degree of persistence and application. The Full Moon also suggests something that's been niggling in the background of your situation can come out into the open.
Gemini 22 May – 21 June
Your ruler Mercury begins its retrograde in a very sensitive location. At one level it may seem that someone is withholding from you, but then is it you who is actually going to step back somewhat? You may decide that it's time to liberate yourself from a situation which you feel has no long-term future. This could see you setting some new objectives that really grip you.
Cancer 22 June – 23 July
Social plans may be subject to some last-minute rearrangements, and if you can, try to go with the flow about these. It could feel like someone is impinging somewhat on your goodwill in the first half of the week too. There's part of you that could be minded to be a little bit more rebellious around these kind of expectations, especially at the time of the potent Full Moon on Tuesday.
Leo 24 July – 23 August
Any conversations with people in positions of authority or seniority may require some added patience this week. Certainly in its first half you could find some becoming more frustrated than usual. If you're fortunate enough to be able to head off somewhere different, then do, for a complete change of scene may be just what you require, with familiar territory seeming rather dull.
Virgo 24 August – 23 September
The impulse to splash out and buy something that would be fabulously pleasing, can be extremely strong, and especially at the very start of the week. Discussing joint finances can also be something that could see you making some changes around if you haven't been particularly happy with the service provider or a bank, you may look to switch to somewhere that's more competitive.
Libra 24 September – 23 October
This week's Full Moon in your zodiac sign is set to underline any restlessness that you might feel around your relationships. If you're solo, this and the Sun's conjunction with Uranus, can see you more daring and prepared to push beyond your normal boundaries, if it creates some excitement and the buzz of new possibility. Fitting in with others can be less of a priority, Libra.
Scorpio 24 October – 22 November
One relationship can seem a little cooler than usual. At home a fairer share of domestic responsibilities can help keep relations on an even keel. If work seems a little dull, this week's influences can prompt you to try to do something about this. You need to feel emotionally stimulated and engaged as much as enjoying the more practical elements, or you could feel listless.
Sagittarius 23 November – 21 December
Invitations can come out of the blue, and whilst this may excite you, someone close to you may prefer things to stay as planned. If you're solo, a dazzling connection between the Sun, Uranus and the Full Moon can push you to investigate new social opportunities or people. Any ideas you have, can, with a great deal of hard work and application, also shape up really well.
Capricorn 22 December – 20 January
For the first half of the week, your ruler Saturn continues its sobering right angle to the planet of love, Venus. It's possible that some old issues can continue to affect things between you and a partner, or if you're solo, you can feel inhibited about romance in general. Primary focus may be on making some changes to your home that create a more pleasing environment.
Aquarius 21 January – 19 February
Business and pleasure may not mix particularly well in the first half of the week. You are the natural Democrat of the zodiac, but you still have to do what's best for you, and the more independently minded side of your nature can see you needing to speak your truth however it may seem to others. Pleasingly, finances take a turn for the better as the week winds down to its close.
Pisces 20 February – 20 March
The very start of this week could find you somewhat more impetuous, or showing a “devil may care” attitude towards your expenditure. Someone may have been somewhat disapproving of some of your actions of late, but rather than modifying your approach, you can be tempted to defy them more. Fortunately, the sultry Venus in your sign goes forward, easing tensions too.
