When a family member or a friend has a new baby, it is customary to send them gifts as a welcome. Giving newborn baby gifts will benefit not only the baby but the parents as well. They will have the things they need for their baby without having to spend a lot of money. Many people are conscious of the gifts that they give out, and so they choose ones that are of good quality and are known to be suitable products for babies. If there is an upcoming birth among your friends and family or someone has just welcomed a baby or babies, here is a list of the most useful baby products that you can give.
- Baby monitor. A baby monitor is a must-have for every parent. They don’t have to stay in the baby’s room at all times. They can multi-task and still have an eye and an ear to the baby through the monitor.
- Portable changing mat. This is best for families who are always on the go. Parents don’t have to worry about having to change their baby’s nappy when they are out and about. They can change their baby’s nappy in the car, in a restaurant bathroom etc. A changing mat usually comes in a bag with compartments where you can keep wipes, nappies, a change of clothes, etc.
- Nappies and formula milk. Who would refuse a few days’ worth of nappies and formula milk? To be sure that they will be the right ones, ask the parents for the brand and size of both the nappies and milk.
- Baby carrier. A baby carrier will be convenient when they take the baby outdoors. It provides a hands-free carrying that will allow the parents to carry other things while making sure the baby is comfortable in the carrier itself.
- Receiving blankets. Babies can never have enough receiving blankets. They are snug, warm, and comfy when wrapped in soft and airy receiving blankets.
- Wipe warmer. Yes, this is a thing. We all know that wipes are cold, and your baby will get fussy and irritated if you wipe their bum with a cold wipe. A wipe warmer will give a baby a comfortable changing time.
- Feeding bottles. If the baby’s mother uses bottles for milk – either breastmilk or formula – a set of cute baby feeding bottles can come in very handy. A parent can never have too many bottles at home.
- If you have a little extra cash to splurge on a slightly more expensive present, a buggy is a great idea. It will definitely be useful for the baby during outings.
To be sure that what you will be giving will be useful for the baby and the parents, it is best to ask the parents directly. Some set up gift registries as well, so you can look into those too. When giving presents, it is better to spend a good amount on something that you truly know the baby will use for a long time than just picking out the first thing that you see to save you from any hassle.
