Open Your Sacral Chakra with TPQs (Not Affirmations!)

Video Source: chakraboosters

Welcome to week two of our series on Transformational Power Questions. In this vlog, I’m sharing how you can heal your sacral chakra with TPQs. Your sacral chakra is your lowest feminine chakra and it relates to your intimacy, sensuality, joy, creativity, fertility and emotions. It’s the opposite of the masculine root chakra and it allows you to surrender and go with the flow.

Why Affirmations Can Be Bad for You

So why are we doing TPQs instead of affirmations? Because often, affirmations create a backlash in your inner world. They activate your subconscious mind and the voice inside of you that objects to things that are true. So one affirmation can elicit several subconscious negative responses and create a negative, rather than positive effect.

Obviously, that’s not what we want when we set out to create positive changes in our lives.

If you want to better understand why affirmations can actually be counter-productive, check out this blog post.

3 Steps to Create a Transformational Power Question (TPQ)

  1. Decide what you want to change and create a traditional affirmation. For example, if you want more money, you create the affirmation, “I’m wealthy.”
  2. Put a “why” in the front of it and make it a question. “Why am I so wealthy?”
  3. Make it progressive (increasing over time). “Why am I getting wealthier every day?”

To understand in more detail how to create TPQs, check out the first video in this series (on the root chakra) here.

Sacral Chakra Transformational Power Questions

In the video above, I share 15 different TPQs that boost your sacral chakra. Watch the video above and repeat after me to improve these five sacral chakra areas of your life: inner child/joy, intimate sex and sensuality, creativity and fertility, relationships and emotions, ease and flow.

Pick your favorite TPQ and put it on sticky notes. Then spread them around your personal space and read the question every time you see a sticky note. To change old ways of being, we need repetition and TPQs will shift your energy in miraculous ways when you repeat them regularly.

Have a joyful, playful, creative and sensuous week, Beautiful Soul!

Heal Your Sacral Chakra Inner Child

Are you ready to meet your two-year inner child and heal your sacral chakra? Watch this video and be sure to do the sweet meditation at 11:11. (Yes, that it does begin at magical 11:11. What a beautiful synchronicity).

If you haven’t yet seen my previous video in this series, “Heal Your Root Chakra Inner Child,” you can watch it here.

Our foundational energies are set down in the first seven years of our life. And that’s why Aristotle wrote:

“Give me a child until he is seven years old and I will show you the man.”

Energetically, our 7-year Root Chakra Life Cycle builds the foundational base of who we are during our first seven years of life. And this creates our bedrock beliefs and our unconscious habits.

In each of the first seven years of our lives, our energetic body develops our root chakra (foundation) plus one of our other chakras. At each age — 1, 2, 3, and so on, we have a basic human need we’re trying to get fulfilled. When these needs get met, the corresponding chakra tends to open. And if a chakra need doesn’t get met, that particular chakra tends to close down.

If you want to learn more about your energetic development and the Chakra Life Cycles that affected you, read my book, Your Roadmap to Life Mastery: Discover the 7-Year Cycles That Shape Your Life.

In the video above, we’re healing your two-year-old sacral inner child. This is the part of you that wants joy, play, ease, and creativity. It’s also the aspect of you that loves variety, change, and embraces all emotional states. Finally, your sacral self is tied to how comfortable you feel with intimate relationships and your own sensuality and sexuality.

Your sacral chakra is almost the absolute opposite of your root chakra. Where the root chakra likes safety and stability, the sacral chakra likes variety and change.

In short, the root chakra keeps things humming along in a secure and comfortable way. And the sacral chakra then comes along and shakes things up! The basic need of the sacral chakra is change/variety.

Our chakras, you see, are designed to help us live in the full spectrum of life. If we only have root chakra stability where everything stays the same, we die of boredom. And if we only have the constant ebb and flow of the watery sacral chakra, we go crazy from the chaos. These two chakras create the classic “opposites attract” chemistry that allows us to experience consistency AND variety.

What was it like when you were two? Can you recall if your toddler self was allowed to experience a variety of emotions? Was there play? Or one-on-one interaction with your caregivers?

If your need for variety, play, and (innocent forms of) intimacy was not met when you were two, my meditation will help you. It’ll guide you on a journey to be with your little two-year-old toddler and to “reparent” yourself in a loving, playful way.

Check it out and let me know how it works for you. I love inner child healing. I think it’s never too late to go within and be a loving caregiver of the child within us.

May you have a playful, emotionally expressive, relationally-satisfying week!

7 Sacral Chakra Stones to Heal Your Divine Feminine

In this video, I’m going to share my seven favorite stones for boosting your sacral energy. Your sacral chakra is directly tied to your Divine Feminine. It’s related to your sensuality, emotions, creativity, fertility, intimacy, joy, ease, and more. And it’s a feminine, water-element chakra, so it’s also connected to the moon that moves the tides and the ocean herself.

If you haven’t yet seen the first video in this series (on root stones), you can watch it here. In it, I share some basic information on healing your chakras with gemstones that I don’t share here or anywhere else. It covers topics like the scientific reason gemstones heal your chakras, the best way to choose stones that resonate with you, different ways you can use healing stones, and more.

Here are My 7 Favorite Sacral Healing Gemstones:

  1. Moonstone – good for emotional health, fertility, intuition and it has nourishing, sensual energy.
  2. Orange Calcite – increases creativity, cleanses your sacral chakra, boosts emotional health.
  3. Tangerine Quartz – increases joy and your connection to your inner child increases your passion sexually and creatively, boosts self-acceptance, and your ability to deal with change.
  4. Ammonite – helps you deal with change, uplifts your mood, increases positive energy flow.
  5. Amber (orange) – positively boosts your mood, increases your creative confidence, cleanses your sacral chakra.
  6. Red Coral – decreases depression (increases joy), boosts fertility, connects you to ocean energy, flow, and your emotions.
  7. Carnelian (my favorite) – boosts all sacral aspects such as creativity, fertility, flow, joy, ease, emotional health, and sensuality. Helps overcome abuse (especially sexual).

Seashells are also great for boosting the sacral chakra. They come from the sea (water) which is the element of this Divine Feminine energy center. And they’re often shaped in feminine forms such as the clamshell or the spiraling nautilus.

And you can do all the same things with shells that you can do with gemstones. Wear them as jewelry or put them in your pockets or on an altar.

What’s YOUR favorite sacral stone (of the ones above or one not mentioned)? Please share here on my youtube channel so the most people will benefit.

Have a creative, joyful, and flowing week!

Is Your Sacral Chakra ‘Money Lens’ Healthy? | Mindful Millionaire

Video Source: chakraboosters

Hello Beautiful Soul and welcome to the second video in this Chakra ‘Money Lens’ series featuring me and Leisa Peterson of the Mindful Millionaire.

Typically, money is associated with the root chakra and the manifest world. But Leisa who worked as a financial advisor for a large part of her life, says that every chakra affects how we deal with money.

This week, we’re focusing on how your sacral chakra can affect your relationship with money. In particular, we’re talking about what your financial tendencies look like when you’re overactive or underactive in your sacral chakra.

Your sacral chakra is your lowest feminine chakra. This means it’s pretty much the opposite of your lowest masculine chakra, the root. Whereas the root chakra is all about work, stability, planning, and order, the sacral chakra is about the play, change, spontaneity, and chaos.

It’s orange, resides in your pelvic bowl, and relates to the element of water. It’s associated with the embodied Divine feminine and your emotions, creativity, fertility, intimacy, sensuality, spontaneity, ease, and joy. It’s the childlike chakra that simply wants to play and have a good time.

What does your money life look like when you have too much sacral energy?

You overspend and ‘live for the moment.’ If you don’t have much income, you go into debt. And if you’re lucky enough to make a lot of money, you may simply break even and live paycheck-to-paycheck.

When your sacral chakra is underactive, the opposite occurs. You find it difficult to spend on yourself and to actually enjoy the money you earn. You’re obsessed with saving for a “rainy day.”

Leisa says in both cases, you’re acting out a sense of not being worthy of having and enjoying money.

So you can probably guess what the healthy sacral relationship to money looks like. It’s about spending and saving in a balanced way. You know you’re worthy of enjoying the money you make and that you’re also worthy of having some security in the form of a nest egg.

In this video, Leisa also talks about how we sometimes use shopping to avoid processing difficult emotions. At the end of the video, she shares a touching story about the big sacral-money “aha” moment she had when her mother was dying of cancer. It’s a sweet admission that will have you forever questioning the reasons you shop.

After you watch the video, please take a moment to share your thoughts here on my YouTube channel. We want to know what resonated (or didn’t) with you.

Fulfill This Basic Sacral Chakra Need and Balance Your Divine Feminine For More ‘Spice’ in Life

Video Source: Chakra Boosters YouTube (Please Subscribe)

This video is the second in a series where we’re looking at the seven basic needs that play a big part in shaping who we are. If you haven’t yet watched the first video about your root chakra need, you can watch it here now.

In our first seven years of life, we’re primarily developing our root chakra and our foundation for life. But in each one of those first seven years, a secondary chakra is developing as well. In general, the age we are is the chakra that’s being developed like this:

Age 1 – Root Chakra

Age 2 – Sacral Chakra

Age 3 – Solar Plexus

Age 4 – Heart Chakra

Age 5 – Throat Chakra

Age 6 – Brow Chakra

Age 7 – Crown Chakra

In each one of these years, we have a basic, primary need that should be fulfilled. When it is, the chakra typically develops in a healthy way. If the basic need of that age/chakra is not fulfilled, though, then usually cope or compensate in some way. These forms of coping or compensation in our foundational years often become life-long limiting habits or beliefs – unless we shine light on them, and choose to re-parent ourselves, and get our needs met in a healing way.

In this video – the second of the series, we look at the basic need of the second (sacral) chakra.

If you didn’t see the first video on the basic need of the root chakra, you can watch it here.

The root and sacral chakras are basically, opposites. Because they are the lowest chakras in a world of duality, boosting one tends to take from the other, and vice versa. So, the key is to balance them as much as possible.

The need of the root chakra is safety and certainty. When we first come into this world, we’re only want to survive – eat, sleep and learn how to be in a body. We simply want to be a person and get our basic needs met. Routines of eating, sleeping and being nurtured help us to feel safe. But once we learn that the world can be safe and predictable, we then begin to need the opposite – uncertainty – or to put it in more positive terms – VARIETY.

The old saying, “variety is the spice of life” is about the sacral chakra. As we turn two and approach toddlerhood, we long for newness, change, play and a little adventure. We move from being focused solely on ourselves to being interested in the other. We want to play peek-a-boo and giggle. We want to look at novel things and feel different emotions.

What was your life like at age two? Were you played with? Was their variety? Were your different emotions accepted and allowed? The time between our second and third birthday is when we learn to respond to another and to life. We become like water and learn how to adapt.

Or we don’t.

There are two different ways that the sacral chakra can be out-of-balance.

If it is under-active, we tend to under-value it’s importance. In other words, we make our need for variety, play and change, unimportant. We may avoid our emotions, intimacy and especially, change. Our life can get boring and seem like all work and no play.

If the sacral energy is over-active, we tend to make it too important. We may choose to create so much change in our life that we have no stability at all, and we may allow our emotions to run out of control like a drama Queen or King, or we may feel that we only exist when we’re in a romantic relationship.

What we want to do is balance these two tendencies so that we can have stability and change, be in a relationship or on our own, and able to fully feel and express our relationships without feeling that they are out of control.

Does that make sense?

If you’re sacral energy is under-active, consider doing some inner work with your two and a half year old toddler. Go within and give her or him lots of love and support – and variety. Play and encourage her or his emotions.

If you have a picture of you from that age, put it on your bedside and be a companion to your own little self.

Other options are to have play dates with yourself – schedule them once a week and stick to them. Do only fun, fresh stuff.

Or connect with the kids in your extended family and let them show you what it means to play and be spontaneous and allow for lots of variety.

Also, it’s good for you to seek out movies or activities that will allow yourself to feel your emotions more (for me, it’s mushy movies like “Terms of Endearment.”)

If, on the other hand, your sacral energy tends to be overactive, do lots of root chakra work. Create habits and structure in your life, and ground yourself frequently.

For both chakras, I recommend wearing my Chakra Boosters Healing Tattoos™. And I recommend that you even allow them to overlap on your lower back like two links of a chain. Just put the root tattoo as low as you can on your back and then put the sacral chakra so that the bottom of it goes an inch or so over the root. This tends to support balance between them.

In any case, enjoy the dance of stability and change, habit and variety in your life.

We all need both!

7 Ways to Fulfill The Need of Your Sacral Chakra (& Spice Up Your Life)

None of us likes to admit it, but the truth is, we humans have needs. We have basic needs, like food, shelter and safety that are related to our survival and we have more complex needs like finding our life purpose and connecting with others as well as our higher selves.

Luckily, we have blueprint of all our most important needs right inside us — in our chakras. Each one of our seven main chakras relates to a different need and knowing these needs and how to fulfill them is a simple (but not easy!) recipe for a deeply fulfilling life.

So, I’ve created a vlog series for you that identifies your seven basic needs – one for each chakra – and seven ways to fulfill each one. Today, we’re looking at the need of your second (aka sacral) chakra. If you missed the first chakra video and article, you can watch it here.

Your sacral chakra is the orange, water-element chakra of your pelvis, and it’s need is VARIETY. If you saw my video for the root chakra, you’re probably area that the needs of your first and second chakras are opposites. In the same way that men and women are so often polar in their priorities, so are the first two chakras. This is because the first chakra is the home of the Divine Masculine and the second chakra is the home of the Divine Feminine.

The Divine Masculine is about protection, stability, and safety. Its element is earth and its need is CERTAINTY, whereas the Divine Feminine is about flow, ease, emotions, movement and change. In a word, the Divine Feminine is about UNCERTAINTY, which becomes (when put in a positive light) VARIETY.

This means that in your two lowest, most embodied chakras, you are experiencing a bit of a tug-o-war. Your first chakra wants safety, stability and routine, whereas your second chakra wants to change, flow and play, play, play!

No wonder men and women are so attracted to each other and so often infuriated by each other! And no wonder, finding true balance within yourself can be such a daunting task.

In my previous post for this series, I suggested seven ways you could boost your first chakra and meet the need of your first chakra. Hopefully, you did those and now we can move onto your second chakra with seven ways to fulfill your need for variety. Here they are.

7 Ways To Fulfill Your 2nd Chakra Need for Variety

1) Dance, wiggle, shake and move in any way you can.

2) Share intimate time with your partner. If you don’t have a partner at this time, go sign up for an event that will pair you with someone, like a local partner yoga or dancing class so you can interact with another. If you want to understand more about how your sacral chakra affects your sex life, read this.

3) Play with kids. Kids are full of spontaneous energy that fuels the variety your second chakra needs. If you don’t have kids to play with, consider volunteering to work with them so you can bring a little stability to their lives and they can bring a little creative juice to yours.

4) Take a course to learn something new. Local community centers and community colleges usually offer some really great, creatively-oriented classes like painting, dancing, photography, ceramics and more. Commit to trying something new and different.

5) Set a weekly, spontaneous date with yourself. Set the date and keep it religiously, but never plan what you’re going to do. Doesn’t that sound delicious? A few hours of “me time” where you indulge your inner child and just do what you feel like doing in the moment.

6) Break a habit. Breaking any habit at all will introduce the energy of variety into your life. Don’t take your usual route to work or the store. Drive another way. Talk in pig-latin for an hour or hop on one leg around the house instead of your usual, boring two-footed walking technique. Your brain will be immediately yanked out of it’s typical routine.

7) Wear my 2nd Chakra Healing Tattoo. With it’s beautiful orange design and it’s crescent moon energy, my sacral chakra tattoo just may make you want to do all of the above. If you think it’s absolutely ludicrous that a tattoo can change your chakra energy, I don’t blame you. It’s a pretty “out there” idea. Still, if you can keep an open mind, I think you’ll enjoy this article about why I created them and this video of why they work.

6 Best Ways to Heal Your Sacral Chakra For More Sensuality, Ease and Flow

Since every energy center (chakra) in your body is different, each one responds better to different healing modalities. In this article, I’m going to share the best methods for the second chakra that resides in your pelvis.

If you haven’t seen my video/article about the first chakra, you can check it out here.

The second chakra is also known as the sacral chakra. It’s orange and it resides in the center of your pelvis. As the home of your divine feminine energy, it’s related to your emotions, sensuality, fertility, creativity, ease and flow.

It’s also associated with the element of water, whereas the first chakra is associated with the element of earth, which means these two neighboring chakras are basically opposites. The stable, earthy healing methods that work for your first chakra are not the best option for pelvic healing.

Keeping in mind that your sacral chakra is water element that is tied to creativity and emotions, here are the six best healing methods for healing it:

1. Watsu – this aquatic modality is usually done one-on-one, which is perfect for the intimacy-oriented. In it, you allow a practitioner to gently guide you through the waterpool experiencing a flowing water dance. Because it is all about flow and letting go, and it takes place in water, this beloved method is amazing for boosting and balancing your sacral chakra.

2. Art Therapy – since the sacral chakra is all about creativity and play, art therapy is a great way to heal it. I especially recommend art therapy using mandalas. These round works of art invite in sacredness and feminine energy because of their circularity. And they’re very easy to make.

3. Liquid Cleanse – Again, because the sacral chakra is related to water and flow, going on a liquid cleanse can be perfect for this energy center. If you use orange fruits and/or veggies – like oranges or mangos or yams – even better!

4. Emotional Release Techniques – there are many different techniques for releasing emotions, and all of them are great for the sacral chakra. Since I have a background in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, I am familiar with the Mental and Emotional Release Technique. A friend of mine swears by the Emotion Code. You can do the research and choose whichever specific technique resonates with you.

5. Sacred Sexuality (aka Tantra) – the sacral chakra is the home of sensuality and feminine sexuality, so tantra is a natural fit. Tantra is the practice of making sexual interactions more conscious and sacred. My partner Ross and I are both Editors of CLN, and we believe this is a subject area that is not covered in a conscious way by most media, so we dedicate our evening article slot to the topic of sacred sexuality five to six days a week. Here’s an example of a typical CLN tantric article, and here’s another.

6. My Chakra Boosters Healing Tattoos™ — When I got a real root chakra tattoo, it healed my lifelong first chakra issues, so I decided to create temporary chakra healing tattoos for the world. And as of this writing, I have satisfied customers in 33 countries of the world. You can see my sacral tattoo in the video above. My son, Dylan and I put great love and attention into designing a highly effective sacral tattoo – which circular “water whirpools” and a crescent moon in the design, as well as the Sanskrit symbol for the Svaddisthana (2nd chakra). Of course the main color is orange to match the chakra as well.

The research of Dr. Masaru Emoto showed that words and symbols placed on water affect the molecular structure of that water. Since all of our bodies are mostly water (55-70% on average), putting a sacral chakra tattoo right on the area where it resides, boosts and balances in an amazingly powerful way.

So those are the six best methods for healing your sacral chakra. If you feel like your sensuality is lackluster or if your life feels, hard, dry and lacks play, you probably need more sacral yumminess in your life. These methods should do the trick. Enjoy!
