The Sant Nirankari Mission is a spiritual movement, established without divisions of caste, color, and creed, whose purpose is to reveal God, also known as Nirankar, to all human beings without regard to their religious faith, sect, or community.
Today, we wanted to share the story of the current leader of the movement, Satguru Mata Sudiksha Hardev, and her remarkable personal journey that led her to succeed Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj as the Spiritual Head of the Sant Nirankari Mission.
Sudhiksha Ji was born on March 13, 1985 into the family of Baba Hardev Singh Ji and Pujiya Mata Savinder Ji at Saint Nirankari Colony, Delhi. She is a graduate with Honours in Psychology.
She started receiving spiritual nurturing as a toddler and received lots of love from Holy Parents, Grandmother Nirankari Rajmata Ji, maternal grandparents Rev. Daddy Gurmukh Singh Ji and Mata Madan Kaur Ji who cared for her from the time of her birth.
Sudhiksha Ji studied Psychology and has performed humanitarian acts entirely unexpected for someone of her young age. She contributed to the activities of Sant Nirankari Mission in the form of Sewadal Member and attended to saints visiting Satguru Babaji. She was notably active in Children's Congregations, English Medium Congregations and regular mass drives in Tree Plantation and Cleanliness
Sudhiksha Ji possessed a great sensitivity for the less fortunate from her earliest years; she never liked to see another hungry while she eats. She cared for the welfare of strangers, and contributed to the activities of Saint Nirankari Mission.
She is considered by others to be the epitome of love, mercy, and compassion.
Like most young children, Sudiksha had dreams and aspirations, but there was something triggering an entirely different thought process in her active mind. She uniquely combined the honesty of a child, the energy of a teenager, the maturity of an adult and a great deal of curiosity.
Her curiosity and inquisitive nature pushed her to constantly seek answers to the questions she had about the world around her.
As she saw death and suffering, she wondered why GOD should allow this. She went to Baba Hardev Singh Ji and asked, “Babaji, why are there suffering and tears in this world?”
The reply she got from Babaji changed her mind and set her on her life's mission. “God is inviting you to take the challenge and contribute to the effort to minimize this suffering. Do not look at death and destruction, but look at what can be done by you to bring consolation”. It is not about worrying about the suffering, it is about ‘being together in the suffering’ – it is not about removing the tears, it is about sharing the tears.
Sudhiksha Ji stopped complaining and instead embraced the belief that “Thy Will Be Done”.
In May 2016, her father was killed in a tragic car accident. She was in deep grief, buthad the fortitude to overcome the challenging circumstances, accepting the divine verdict with complete faith and humility. She maintained composure, also comforting and proving a source of solace to others.
After the death of Baba Hardev Singh Ji, Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj took over as the head of Sant Nirankari Mission. Sudiksha Ji was entrusted with the enormous duty to handle the 220 foreign branches of the mission, spread over around 70 countries across the globe.
As head of the Sant Nirankari Mission, she has led the organization with grace and wisdom and helped to organize spiritual events in Houston, Texas, establishing a Guinness World Record on that particular occasion.
Despite her many personal and professional responsibilities, Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj is still passionate about developing the spirituality for children.
About her philosophy, Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji says, “there is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.”
In her 2019 New Year message, the Satguru expressed her hope and prayer that “every follower, every devotee, every saint, to become a lighthouse, who is not just a lighthouse in the sense of just giving directions to everybody, but before that having that light in itself …”
It is clear the young, inspirational leader is embracing the future of the Sant Nirankari Mission with the hope and promise of a peaceful and harmonious world.
