The sleeve uses a pole hem or pole sleeve to hang flags indoors. It can slide to an indoor flagpole and has a small tab sewn in the sleeve to attach the flag to the pole.
Lastly, you can find grommets which is a ring inserted into a hole via a thin material usually a sheet of fabric, wood, or a composite of carbon fiber. Grommets can be flared or even collared on their sides to keep them in place.
