I can say that without a shadow of a doubt that I used to love hiking despite the boots that I wore when I took part in it. I struggled along with them wanting to be frugal, but there came a point where I was convinced to invest in a new pair, with my fellow hikers telling me that Fin Feather Fur would be a good place to go.
I browsed through their website for around 15-20 minutes before I decided upon a pair of Thorogood Mountain Ridge boots in a size 9. They looked robust and the reviews were pretty awesome, I was convinced that I had my brand!
Wearing Them Was The Clincher!
I had expected a great product based solely on what I’d heard and read about Fin Feather Fur, but it wasn’t until I put my new hiking boots on that I fully appreciated the quality of the product that I’d bought.
I could blather on about how great they are, but perhaps more useful would be to tell you a few of the features that make them about the most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned.
No More Hot, Tired Feet
When you’re out in the cold, you want your feet to be warm, but not sweaty. My previous boots had a thinsulate interior, but after a few hours, I’d always start to tire due to having super-hot, clammy feet.
My new Fin Feather Fur boots didn’t have this particular issue, as they have a breathable exterior that keeps the cold out, but also let my feet breathe. They’ve also got an X-stream waterproof membrane that allows me to go through snow, without ever worrying about wet socks ruining my day.
Nice, Rugged Soles
Another issue my old boots had was an inability to deal with uneven ground well. This was partly because of the worn tread, but also because their interior design didn’t hold the foot well enough to stop it shifting to the left and right when going over rocks and other inclines.
Conversely, my new Thorogood hiking boots provide the perfect amount of support for both my ankles and feet. It’s something that’s allowed me to take on more challenging terrain without affecting my comfort one iota.
Want Great Hiking Boots? Check Out Fin Feather Fur
I was so happy about my hiking boots that I felt compelled to go online and write a blog about it. That’s what you’re reading right now. It’s not an exaggeration to say that it has rekindled my passion for getting out on the trail and that’s something worth shouting about.
I’ve been back to their website since, in search of other items to help me enjoy my hobby even more and it would seem that whatever I need, they always seem to have multiple options for each and every product.
In my possession now are a new three-season sleeping bag, a tent and a first aid kit and all from a company that really knows their stuff. I honestly can see myself ever going anywhere else again, as no one I’ve used provides quite the same range, support and aftercare.
