How to Survive Your Saturn Return (It Happens 3 Times If You Live A Long Life)

By Gala | Gala Darling

If you’re almost 30 & your life feels like it’s hitting the skids, there is a perfectly rational — & astrologically sound! — reason.

That reason is that you’re experiencing your first Saturn return. Oh yes, indeed!

I know many of you are turning your heads to the side & wiggling your eyebrows in a confused manner, so let me make it simple for you. Your first Saturn return is when the planet Saturn — which takes approximately 29 years to rotate around the Sun — comes back to the position it was in at your birth.

You can work out exactly when your Saturn return will begin — & end — by using this calculator.

For the record, you will have three Saturn returns in your life. Whoah, Nelly! But the first one is typically the most difficult.

Essentially, your Saturn return is a test. What is it testing? Maybe a better question is, what is NOT testing?! Saturn is a hard taskmaster, & Saturn wants you to learn the difficult lessons so that you can move forward with your life. During your Saturn return, you will be asked repeatedly to prove that you have learned from the challenges you’ve faced over the last 29 years.

In Western culture, society has increasingly unrealistic expectations of us. In our twenties we’re out there exploring, finding ourselves. We have new hairstyles, crazy nails, & a new boyfriend every week. We party, we shop, we don’t take work too seriously, & in the words of The Flintstones, have a gay old time. In fact, society encourages this. This is “normal”. But when we turn 30, you better hold onto your hat, because we’re somehow also expected to have our career figured out, be ready to have a baby, & definitely have a big shiny rock on our left hand. I mean, how are we supposed to manage all of that & not have some kind of mental breakdown?!

You know, young whippersnapper, in the olden days, people were lucky to live to 30. These days hitting 30 is not an achievement, but is pretty much expected. Even so, it’s definitely a time where we begin to reflect on our mortality & evaluate our life choices.

Standing on the cusp of 30 years old can feel like staring into a huge cavern; it’s a natural time to do some self-assessment. Have we done the right thing? Are we in love with or married to someone who is going to love us, challenge us & support us no matter what? Do we have a job that brings meaning to our lives? Are we living to our fullest potential? These are all questions that Saturn demands we answer.

During your Saturn return, it might feel like everything is thrown into turmoil, from your relationships to your career, even down to your family situation & where you live.

I sometimes think of Saturn as a kind of loving bully — the cruel-to-be-kind type. He picks us up, turns us upside down & shakes everything out of our pockets. The stuff that stays is the stuff that is working. Everything else gets shaken loose.

Saturn asks a lot of us, & forewarned is forearmed! I wrote a survival guide below, so print it out & stick it on your fridge!

Your Saturn Return Survival Guide

Never compare yourself to anyone else. No matter what stage you’re at right now, that is the exact place you should be. We all move, grow & mature at different times, but that doesn’t make any of us better or worse than one another. Someone may have their career all figured out but their relationships are a mess, while you might have your spirituality on lock but haven’t learned to save any money yet. It’s okay. You’ll get there. Take it one day at a time.

Take responsibility for your thoughts & actions. I say this over & over & over, but now is REALLY the time to put it into action! You will never be in control of your life or your emotions until you start to own up to everything you think & everything you do.

Choose your place in the world carefully. If where you are at — either mentally, emotionally, spiritually or physically — is not working for you, & if you know deep down in your gut that it is wrong, then change it. The only person with the power to change your life is YOU.

Start journalling, if you’re not already. My Saturn return started on Saturday (!!!) & I have literally been waking up in the middle of the night with profound thoughts & realisations about my own patterns & psychology. Take notes of all of these things! It is one of the best ways to work through them.

Astrology Overview for January 08-14, 2018

Do you feel kind of relieved that this week will see most of us getting back fully into the groove? I know I am enjoying routine coming back as I write this. And one of things we can look forward to this week is that Mercury finally comes out of shadow on Tuesday. Okay, I know the retrograde itself ended on the 23rd of December, but this week the planet returns to where the retrograde began on the 3rd of December.

Now, this has been quite a challenging transit, not least because Mercury is in detriment in Sagittarius so in other words not in one of its most sparkling locations, and has been challenged by a distorting, at times exhausting square with Neptune, and was challenged latterly by Saturn (before he relocated into Capricorn). The messenger planet rules our nervous systems, as well as communication, distribution, travel, correspondence etc, and Sagittarius is obviously about philosophy, overseas affairs, legalities, agreements etc, so the role of Neptune, Saturn and the Retrograde has meant that all these errors have probably been difficult at some point or another for us all. This week, Mercury’s emergence into Capricorn brings a welcome dash of realism, earthiness and practicality. Mercury in this sign is excellent for business, commerce and for engaging with the details of things in a determined and thorough way. This process is helped further when Mercury connects to Saturn in the week’s last days which is certain to concentrate our minds, and could make us feel a little pessimistic or dour but temper the on-going extraordinary link between Mars/Jupiter and the Sun/Venus and Pluto.

This week also begins with a Quarter Moon in Libra. This is going to see a bit of a battle between “people” and “rulership” both of which are Cardinal, so battles of will are possible. We may find ourselves in situations where the expectation that the system, governments, rules and regulations, and even the will of the law, can ride roughshod over more sensitive and interactive, needs and situations. Finding the balance between our own needs and compliant with these kind of expectations is going to be the trick for the week.

But transformation is undoubtedly in the works, and no little intensity too. Pluto remains the kingmaker, and as the Sun and Venus join with him it can be relationships that change. Some may come to an end. Others may reach a deeper and more meaningful understanding. The people who really matter in our world are going to become much clearer to us, and knows the a more peripheral or superficial be revealed. Cancer Full Moon Ritual for January 2018

By Tanaaz | Forever Conscious

January 2018 is a busy month that starts off with a Super Full Moon on the 1st-2nd and ends with a Blue Moon Lunar Eclipse on the 31st.

While all of this energy will be kickstarting the new year ahead, it will also be reminding us to bring closure to the year gone by.

Full Moon’s always represents a time of completion and releasing, and seeing as this Full Moon falls in the watery sign of Cancer, we are being asked to cleanse and release all that prevents us from truly loving ourselves.

Cancer energy represents nourishment, intuition, and self-care, and on this Super Full Moon, we will all have to tune into that softer, intuitive voice within and take care of our mind, body and spirit.

This ritual is designed to help you do just that, and will help to cleanse and release all energy that is no longer yours to carry.

This ritual will also help you to shed the dead weight of the year gone by, so you can welcome and embrace the new energies of 2018.

Cancer Super Full Moon Cleansing Ritual 2018

This ritual is best done just before showering from the 31st December to the 7th January 2018.

You will need:

  • Sage or another smudging tool of your choice
  • Jug/Bowl of water
  • Your favorite blend of essential oils (you can also use dried herbs and flowers)

Directions:

1. Light your sage and begin smudging your aura, starting at the top of your head. Wave the smoke around your whole body making sure not to forget the back of your neck and the bottom of your feet. As you smudge yourself, recite the following affirmation three times-

“I cleanse and release all energy that is no longer mine to carry. I shed and clear myself of any pains of the past and release myself from any guilts or regrets that are weighing me down. I cleanse myself so I am light and free. I cleanse myself with light and loving energy.”

2. Once cleansed, get your bowl or jug and fill it with water. Into the water add your own essential oils, dried flowers or herbs. To choose the perfect blend of oils/herbs etc. place your hand over your heart and say to yourself-

“Intuition please guide me to the perfect blend of herbs, flowers and oils that will lift my spirits, cleanse me of any pains and heal my mind, body and soul.”

Then trust whatever ingredients you feel drawn to.

Vedic Astrology for January 2018: How to Navigate Relationships, Ambition and a Lunar Eclipse

vedic astrology May 2015

In January 2018, Saturn, planet of stability and truth, settles into the fire sign of Sagittarius until January 2020. During most of 2017, the normally grounded Saturn was moving very slowly between the two signs of Scorpio and Sagittarius, and transiting very sensitive and significant degrees. This initiated a lot of change, but didn’t generate much steadiness in our lives. Now, we begin to stabilize and commit to expressing our true dharma or purpose in life.

Venus, the planet of relationship and healing will be combust the Sun most of the month, which means you’ll need to put a little more effort into restoring and appreciating the important connections you have with others. The transit of Mars is quite strong this month as it moves to its own sign of Scorpio on January 16, 2018, bringing more drive, ambition, and depth, but control issues may surface. And at the end of the month on January 31, 2018, we begin the winter eclipse season with a lunar eclipse in the sign of Cancer, signaling a time of revelation and significant change.

Saturn in Sagittarius powerfully shines a light on equality, and that includes humanitarian concerns, human rights, and fairness within the government and judicial system. Personally, we are asked to scrutinize our belief system, and begin to “walk our talk.” Challenges could bring delays or restrictions as we try to uncover the truth in our society, or we have difficulty in letting go of old prejudices and beliefs that no longer serve us. We are redefining our value system – personally and collectively.

In addition, Saturn in Sagittarius is transiting the nakshatra of Mula, which means “the root.” We need to go deep to find our truths and get to the heart of the matter. Mula also relates to medicinal roots or alternative medicine, so we could find that Ayurvedic remedies are quite helpful. Mula’s deity is Kali, goddess of destruction, and so some dissolving qualities may emerge. Weak foundations will crumble or our own ignorance will be destroyed, in order to set us on the true path of self-actualization.

Venus is traveling very close to the Sun (within 5 degrees) the entire month as both the Sun and Venus move through the signs of Sagittarius and Capricorn. When a planet is extra close to the Sun, it is called combustion, meaning its significations and integrity are somewhat weakened. You may find that conflicts in love and relationship surface and need to be addressed. Venus combust can actually increase the desire for love or compassion to be an integral part of our lives. The challenge with combustion can be our inability to express this desire. For example, we believe we can’t find the time in our busy schedules for relationship bonding and healing. But we can always prioritize what matters most to us, so use this transit to include enough time to really share with your loved ones and to appreciate them. If you commit to self-care and don’t overwork, you’ll find it much easier to express gratitude to those you love.

Mars enters its own sign of Scorpio from January 16 to March 6, 2018. Mars is quite driven, focused and desirous in Scorpio. This is a powerful transit, that bring passion and motivates us to accomplish our goals. Scorpio is a fixed water sign, generating persevering and persistent energies, but be aware that this can also create stubbornness and an inability to release old emotional hurts. This is a time to call on the higher qualities of Mars. Take courageous action when needed, improve your energy and vitality through heart-felt activities, and work with determination and discipline.

Rahu (north Node of the Moon) transiting the sign of Cancer will be aspecting Mars while in Scorpio. This influence exaggerates Mars’ energies. Positively, Mars and Rahu can increase your ambition and help you develop more inner strength, but be aware that the combination of these two can also increase your need to control and dominate others, which may result in power struggles or conflict.

If you direct this amplified energy towards positive spiritual and inspirational expressions, you’ll make the most of this transit. Practice cultivating patience and mindfulness, and commit to a regular practice of meditation and yoga.

The 2018 winter eclipse season begins at the end of January with a lunar eclipse occurring on January 31, 2018 at 17 degrees Cancer in the nakshatra of Ashlesha. In Vedic culture, eclipses are days for spiritual life and meditation, and not for material endeavors or signing contracts. Eclipses are meant for spiritual initiation, meditation, and inner work, and they can be a catalyst for personal and spiritual growth. The Nagas, or deified serpents, are associated with this eclipse nakshatra, signifying a connection to kundalini energy, chakra work, deep healing, and transformation. The shakti of Ashlesha is “the power to poison,” and it carries a charismatic and mesmerizing energy. Ashlesha also invites us to be aware of any subtle, manipulative tendencies that could surface during this time as well. Be as discerning, objective and honest as you can during this particular eclipse, and be as grateful and generous as you can.

Basically, January provides us many opportunities for growth – inwardly and outwardly — if we can simply be aware of our actions and unconscious tendencies and consciously make choices that truly benefit us and those around us.

Happy New Year!

Astrology Overview for January 01-07, 2018

Wishing you a very Happy New Year. The week begins with the sensational gathering of planets in the sign of Capricorn gathering pace and becoming more established. Part of this features the duo the Sun and Venus, and in the second half of this week they’re going to go alongside the planet of power, transformation, secrets, truth, and sex, Pluto. This could lead to some extraordinary shifts around the basis of some situations in our lives, depending on where this is located in our Natal but also Solar Horoscopes. Expect there to be more revelations about people in positions of authority, in government, or who have used underhand methods in order to keep other people down. Human rights issues, can vie with those who would prefer to maintain the status quo.

Mercury is also forging a very liberating link to Uranus the planet of freedom, independence, and even of astrology. Of course this is the time of the year when everyone is keen to know what the following twelve months will hold, so this is timely, but it can also bring into the for any futuristic ideas, plans, scientific or medical breakthroughs, in an interesting way. If any of us have spent a little more time indoors than we would normally like, this influence pushes us to go out and explore and to be more spontaneous. However Mercury still coming out of shadow from its retrograde which lasted three weeks of December, so there could still be some glitches around the flow of communication, which we need to stay mindful of.

This week also sees Mars and Jupiter continue in their splendid conjunction, and they too are going to be linking with the Sun, Venus and Pluto. This is one of the most extraordinarily potent set of planetary influences through a very long time. Being in Scorpio as Mars and Jupiter are, this can be a thrusting time, when there could be big developments on financial markets, and the revitalisation, or shakeup of some financial institutions. In our own situations, this certainly going to be very little lack of passion. Expect some very intense encounters. 2018 Numerology Forecast: An 11/2 Universal Year – Lesson Taught/Lessons Learned?

By Michael John Fierro

2018. An 11/2 Universal Year. 11 is the first Master Number. It represents the intuitive teacher and inspirational leader. The lessons can be easy. The lessons can be difficult. One thing is certain…the lessons will be learned.

Just as in our personal lives, we are usually presented with numerous opportunities from which we can learn the lesson we need to learn. When we choose to ignore them, or when we do not even recognize them, they return. Each and every time they return, the lesson gets a little more dramatic, and possibly even, traumatic.

If we continue to ignore these things, the moment will eventually arrive when we will have absolutely no choice but to pay attention as situations and/or conditions will become such that they will be impossible to ignore. We will be forced into taking steps to rectify and clear the situations and then create the tools or opportunities necessary to move forward in our lives. Life being what it is, it will continue to provide us learning experiences and lessons to be learned.

The pattern will also play out the way I just mentioned. It is up to us to recognize things for what they are and to then act accordingly. So, as it is in our personal lives, it is in the macro world in which we reside. The big picture is the extension and expansion of our own, individual lives. As above, so below. As within, so with out.

2018 is going to be a year filled with a constant stream of BIG lessons. Things that have remained hidden. Things about which we do not speak. Things that are injustices and inequalities that have been ignored. It will be one, or all (I’m leaning in the direction of ‘all’) and they will all be writ large in our daily lives and discourses.

One can usually begin to feel the effects of any given Personal approximately 4-6 weeks before the Year actually begins. With a Universal Year the same rule applies meaning that in mid-November or early December, the energy begins to exercise itself.  You would have to have been living in an internet-free cave to not be aware of the paradigm-shifting activities that are taking place. As I like to say regarding a 9 Personal Year heading into a 1 Personal Year, “If you think it was bad before, be prepared for conditions to exacerbate.”

Well, the world has been procrastinating and, at times, regressing in its behavior towards the major issues of the day. 2016, (a 9 Universal Year) was the year during which we should have diligently worked towards the goal of changing and rectifying the problems that are a part of our existence. Doing so would have given us a cleaner slate during 2017 (a 1 Universal Year) to move forward while embracing new solutions and better and fairer ways of handling that which ails us and our world.

Sadly, there wasn’t a lot of that going on. In its place, we’ve spent the year re-hashing old sore spots and because of that, we have moved backwards to a time that long ago served its purpose. This regression has led us to where we are. The issue(s) have come back with a vengeance. Corruption. Politics before all else. Sexism. Misogyny. Racism. Inequality. Inequity. All that was hidden has been, and will be revealed. Now is the time for the battle to begin. Now is the time to collectively decide the type of country and world in which we choose to live.

And, so it is, that the energy and vibration of the 11/2 Universal Year comes into play. It is here to teach. It is here to illuminate our path. It is here to emphasize the dualities of the double-1s and the underlying 2 and by so doing, expose us to the concept of understanding and accepting the energy and meaning of the ‘Two’ in order to show us how to live in concert, with acceptance, and recognition of both sides of all situations. We must learn that it is the opposites that allow us to see clearly. One cannot see the light without having the contrast of darkness.

On the positive side, 2018 can be a time of an increase in spiritual movements, and in matters of the metaphysical and the occult. This can be a year during which new developments and techniques are introduced in teaching. Of benefit to all, we may also see the rising up, or emergence of spiritual teachers who are here to assist us in our growth. In conjunction with this we may also see and experience an increase in the collective social conscience/consciousness coupled with a prevalence of altruistic behavior.

2018 is a year for us to learn the lessons of both the inner and outer worlds

2018 is certainly a year during which we must learn the lessons of both the inner and outer worlds. Inspiration and enlightenment from on high are potential conditions that may be revealed and experienced. It is incumbent upon us all to tune into the messages and signals that we receive and then find a way to incorporate these things into our everyday existence. Co-operation, tolerance, acceptance, and learning to work and live in harmony are all elements of the overarching energy of the year. In learning these lessons there is a call for balance and centering.

We may very well experience pendulum swings from the material to the spiritual and back again. While this will be a year of increased idealism, it is important that we avoid nit-picking the small details of things and with those with whom we may disagree. Above all, good examples must be set, especially in the realm of increasing the level of dedication, and commitment to working with others. The citizens and leaders of the world must learn to incorporate the concept of service to others and we must commit ourselves to mastering ideas, ideals, concepts, and thoughts that, at their core, are dedicated to the betterment of our collective and individual existences. We may find answers and inspiration through the various expressions of the arts, be it art, music, movies, literature, and just plain, old conversations.

The year can also bring about improvements in our psychological systems while we also experience new and exciting breakthroughs in the world of scientific developments and innovations. 2018 is also fertile ground for the introduction of great new inventions designed to improve our lives, environment, and overall well-being.

2018 will be a testing period

In many ways, 2018 will be a testing period. Humankind will be faced with challenges that require thoughtful and compassionate responses and we must steer ourselves in new direction and in new and less divisive fashions. We should all be prepared for sudden events that will require quick decisions and decisive actions. We must behave in a manner that indicates our acknowledgment and acceptance that we are all brothers and sisters in one, gigantic family and while we may have our disagreements, it will behoove us all to find a way forward that improves life for everyone. In the course of taking action, we must guard against impulsiveness and we must learn to exercise far more patience and tolerance with people and conditions that may exist.

This is a year during which we must find ways to get rid of our past mistaken thoughts and actions. Especially those that have helped create and solidify any and all negative circumstances. Now is the time to select the right combination of attitudes to create more favorable and desirable results moving forward.

On the geo-political stage, more information may be revealed about any legal/illegal dealings regarding money. This may particularly play out with regard to Trump and the Russians and the tangled web that has been woven by the players involved. Obviously, dependent upon the words and actions of world leaders, the underlying energy of the 2 presents the opportunity for the peace-making component of the number to be brought into play.

2018 may certainly bring to a head issues for which there are two completely different and opposite viewpoints. Politically this could be the right/left political divide. It may also further bring to center stage the ongoing issues surrounding the relationships of the male and female energies. 2 is a feminine energy number and 2018 has great potential with regards to elevating the female archetype to a more prominent (and deserving) place in society, government, business, and all other aspects of life.

In the world of the Tarot, 11 is the card of Justice. This card is a representation of teaching, education, and guidance. We must seek to find balance through justice as we weigh the meaning of present situations and conditions, and achieve balance by overcoming the errors of the past. The use of  discrimination in our thoughts and deeds is highlighted. It is imperative that we individually and collectively work to eliminate the poisonous toxins in life.

As with all numbers, the 11/2 also has negative attributes and conditions that are associated with it. We must be vigilant and guard against an increase in political, economic, and spiritual fanaticism. In our vigilance, we must guard against any complacency and smugness which may be present, or which increases in  prevalence in powerful institutions.  We must speak up against prejudices, inequalities, and inequities. 2018 has great potential to be a testing and challenging period and we must be diligent in making certain that the energy is channeled into positive ideas and things.

There is great caution to guard against any existing negativity and, we must be hyper-alert in allowing these conditions to increase and/or exacerbate, for this will lead to even greater fears and doubts. It is our duty to hold all our leaders (political, religious, business, and cultural) accountable for their words and actions and we must be careful to not allow the casting of fears and doubts to become a pandemic that sweeps our nation and the world. We must be cautious in our assessment of others’ motives and beware of any and all suspect motives in our international (and national) dealings.

It is very important that we don’t take things for granted and that we look beyond the face value of words. We must be aware of the possibility that we will be let down by our friends, allies, and our own political leaders. We must be especially mindful that others’ activities are not prompted by things that we do or propagate. The worst case scenario indicates that it may be almost impossible to come to any agreements or decisions.

If not exercised as the 11 there is great danger of the worst of the 2 being in play. That will give us a world of submissiveness and being taken advantage of for the enrichment of a few.

In summary, 2018 is the second year in the current 9-year cycle. 2017 saw us suffer the consequences of not dealing with things in 2016 and previous years. Throughout the past year, the veil continued to be lifted and the dark, unseemly underbelly of life continued to be exposed.

The 11/2 energy of this year will present us numerous and frequent opportunities to confront our weaknesses while we look for the leaders and ideas that will move us forward into a new and better world for everyone. Inspiration, ideals, and new ideas are all going to benefit from the fertile ground of the upcoming year. We must look for the individuals who are capable and committed to lifting up everyone.

Of great caution, we must guard against those who will look to seize opportunities to make their points in violent or aggressive means thus becoming martyrs to their cause. With that being said, we must also be prepared to accept the fact that the more we ignore the important lessons we should be learning, the more dramatic and traumatic events may be to get our attention.

Above all, 11 is a teacher. Ideally, our lessons will be somewhat benign and we will easily learn what we must learn. Yet, just as in our personal lives, when there is something to which we must direct our focus and attention to make changes and alterations to our behavior(s), the more we ignore the lessons, the greater the intensity and drama of that which takes place. I believe that everyone reading this who has enough self-awareness to see this pattern in their own life, or in the lives of those to whom they are close, can identify with this unfolding of events. Eventually, we are forced into taking action because we are left with no further options.

For example, over the past years America has seen a seemingly never-ending string of mass shootings. The lesson has to do with guns, aggressiveness, and violence and how much we value each and every life. Without being political, a big portion of the conversation has to do with guns and their presence in our lives. Sadly, the very politics of this issue have paralyzed us from coming to a common sense agreement as to how we handle things and how we move forward while reducing the frequency and horror of these events.

While saying this, I must share with you an enlightened awareness I received this year when it comes to the Master Numbers. I have always believed and taught (and I still do) that the Master Numbers are exalted positions of their lower number. I have always said that in some ways people with these numbers ‘volunteered’ to come back to this plane, at this time, to fulfill a specific purpose in the greater scheme of things. They came to Teach. Inspire. Build. Lead. Create. Nurture. To have a Master Number, and to have it exist in its optimal condition, it is imperative and necessary that one subjugate one’s personal life to the greater good.

(If someone has a Master Number and goes through life with a ‘me first’ attitude, in all probability their life will be one filled with hardships and obstacles. Things may never work out as expected and life can become quite burdensome.)

While I was fully aware that all numbers have both positive and negative characteristics and attributes, I always viewed the Master Numbers as the potential ‘bright lights‘. And then something happened. Well, actually, multiple somethings happened. And kept happening. Those somethings were the mass shootings that have become so common in America that we have become inured to their horribleness. Numerology is such a part of who I am, that I am hard-pressed to not do a chart on anyone in the news. Hell, I can’t drive without doing license plates! But, I digress.

In doing charts for the shooters in these horrific killings, I noticed that quite often there were Master Numbers involved. The more shootings, the more Master Numbers. After Las Vegas, it came to me that the presence of these numbers in these events indicated that these shooters were actually fulfilling their chosen role of being teachers. Granted, this is not the conventional way to teach but if one gives consideration to what is written in the first paragraph, one can see that we have not learned any lessons when it comes to guns and violence in America. We ignore it. We cloak it in patriotism. We says it’s our right (which it is) but we are also guaranteed ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness’ and nothing can stop that quicker than a bullet. So, giving thought and consideration to these situations leads me to believe that 2018 has great potential to go either way in a dramatic and potentially life-changing way. We’ve had years to get things right. We haven’t done as well as we could have, or should have. The conditions to which I referred previously are going to be front and center. In the theater of life we will all have orchestra seats and we will all bear witness to what unfolds. We can all be changed for the better. Or, the worse. I wish for the former. I fear for the latter.

In conclusion, 2018 can be the year during which we break down the barriers and do away with the conditions that exist that make things as bad as they are.  We must ‘look to the heavens”. In reality, we must look within ourselves to find our way forward. We must do this individually and collectively. We must be vigilant in looking for the inspirations and teachers who are here to assist. We must gravitate towards a more loving, compassionate, and caring world. We must forsake those for whom their own self interests are their driving force. We must lift up and rise up out of the muck and find the way to light our paths. We must help those who need assistance.

It starts with each one of us and must spread from one to another. We must recognize and identify the dualities that exist and we must make collective decisions as to which path will be the path for moving forward in a positive manner. We must also be prepared for things to worsen if we do not change course in so many ways. Personally, I believe that 2018 can, and should be, the Year of the Woman. The paradigms are shifting. Those who currently hold power realize their days are numbered and I am certain they will not leave the stage without a fight. Fight we must if our intentions are good and pure.

BE INSPIRED! INSPIRE THOSE AROUND YOU. DO YOUR PART TO MAKE THIS A BETTER WORLD. WE CAN ALL DO BETTER. WE MUST ALL DO BETTER. THE TIME IS NOW!

The choice is yours. The effects belong to us all.

I wish each and every one of you the absolute best for the coming year. May you be inspired to do your best to improve your life and the lives of all with whom you have contact. Be steadfast. Be strong. Be brave. Be loving. Be caring.

Blessings of Love & Light

Astrology Overview for December 25-31, 2017

Wishing you a very Happy Christmas. The week begins in spectacular style with Venus, the planet of love and affection moving into the sign of Capricorn on Christmas Day. He joins with the Sun but also the recently arrived Saturn in the early part of the week and this collective is going to make us much more aware of the serious side of relationships, personal responsibilities and obligations.

If you’re focused on your love life at the moment, any old-fashioned gestures will probably go down extremely well. The course Venus is also about money, and in this location is asking us all to be a little bit more conservative in our approach to resources, so even if we do hit the sales immediately after Christmas, the chances are we going to be looking for real value for money, but also high quality.

However with Mercury now gaining ground, after its recent retrograde, we’d hope, on the face of it, that communications would improve, but this does continue to tangle with Neptune, the planet of dreams, and this in itself can create some confusion. So if we are communicating about anything remotely sensitive, adopting a degree of delicacy, and diplomacy will certainly help.

As the week draws to a close however and the year too, Mars moves alongside Jupiter in the sign of Scorpio, this is going to create a real sense of excitement. This combination really is Passion Central, and can help to circulate a really intense, but meaningful New Years Eve celebration. In 2018 the Earth Will “Open Up” Predicts Numerologist

If you thought you’ve seen it all in 2017, just wait to see what’s in store for the New Year.
Numerologist Sharon Millstein explains

When I asked numerologist Sharon Millstein what she saw happening in 2018, her answer was sobering. “It has to do with the earth opening under our feet,” she said.

Millstein, a celebrated numerologist, psychic predictor and spiritual teacher is routinely procured to give her insights about “the future,” an ability she describes as both a gift and a curse.

This was my fifth time sitting down with the Taos New Mexico based numerologist. In her unique and creative way, Millstein makes no bones about describing what she “sees” no matter how dire, though she’s determined to find the silver lining in any scenario she believes will play out.

“All of the mysteries are going to be coming to fruition. All of the mysteries are going to be uncovered and unearthed…it will be the people digging underneath the surface to understand the whys and the wheres of the universe,” Millstein went on to say.

As we rolled through the discussion which customarily begins with a review of the previous year (current as of this writing), we both agreed that although we look at each year as having different attributes, different features, we both agreed that ultimately there is a flow between one year and the next – a continuum of sorts. And her thoughts about the mysteries (and secrets) that she says will be unearthed in 2018 have already begun, not the least of which is the ongoing sexual harassment saga and the recent bombshell about the Pentagon’s admission of a “secret program” to investigate UFO’s.

But clearly, Millstein’s adamancy about the earth opening up in 2018 had me a bit shaken.

I saw a giant opening of the earth…I’m just telling you [this will be] something significant. – Sharon Millstein

Of course I would be remiss if I didn’t address the numbers aspect of the coming year with this seasoned numerologist. But rather than having her just speak to the particular year, which always has an associated number (which she described quite well), I asked her to elaborate on the significance of numbers in our lives right now. Why are numerical patterns so prominent for so many at this time? And just where might these symbolic digits be coming from?

She was quick to remind us that “Language is different all over the world, but numbers are all the same, and numbers are as old as the universe, and I think they all stick out to remind us that our language that we’re communicating with is not the only language.”

Her thoughts on just who or what may be trying to communicate with us using numbers as the language may just surprise you!

You definitely don’t want to miss what she had to say about that and a whole lot more!

Based on what Sharon Millstein predicts, 2018 is going to be a big one!

The Spiritual Significance of the December 2017 Solstice (with a Sweet, Rejuvenating Ritual)

By Tanaaz | Forever Conscious

The December 2017 Solstice falls on the 21st and marks a significant turning point and start of a new cycle.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the December Solstice is the first day of winter and a time of inward reflection. In the Southern Hemisphere, the December Solstice is the start of summer and a time of outward expression.

No matter where in the world you live, the December Solstice has always been linked to the planet Saturn. This is because the Solstice is marked by the Sun’s move into Saturn’s ruling constellation of Capricorn.

When the Sun reaches the constellation of the mountain goat, it signifies a turning point, as it is the last quarter cycle of the astrological year.

In astrology, the new year is celebrated when the Sun shifts into Aries, which happens in March, and as the Sun moves into Capricorn, it is symbolic that the end of another year is fast approaching.

Although today the start of the new year is celebrated as the calendar flips over to 2018, this turning point can still be felt as we prepare to wind up the year gone by.

As the Sun shifts into Capricorn, we are going to be reminded to not only reflect on the year gone by but to also slow down and check in with where we are at.

We have to take a moment to pause and work out if our actions are aligned with where we want to be.

In the Northern Hemisphere, we can take clues from Mother Earth on where we should be focusing our energy and attention.

As it is winter, the trees are bare, the animals are in hibernation, all of nature is slowing down in order to regenerate.

We too need to follow in the same tracks and conserve our energy for the climb ahead. After the Solstice dawns, it is going to be important for us to move at a slower pace and to not rush ahead.

While things may seem slow moving on the outside, on the inside however, it is very different.

As we “hibernate” and take it slow, we are given the opportunity to take a look into our inner world.

Most of us spend the year in a constant state of busyness so we never really stop to pause and see what is bubbling within. But with the December Solstice energy, we are all going to be given the opportunity to take a peek at what is happening on a heart and soul level.

The December Solstice is often called the Dark Night of the Soul for this very reason.

On the 21st of December when the hours of light and dark battle it out, we are all given the opportunity to retreat within and to discover ourselves on a new level.

If there are issues that have been tucked away in hiding, or unresolved thoughts and emotions, this is the time of year where they may resurface in order to be cleansed and renewed.

December Solstice time can be very cleansing, as long as we embrace the energy and don’t shy away from any painful emotions or past regrets that needs to be cleared.

In the Southern Hemisphere, this energy is present but it manifests a little differently. Again, we can look for clues in Mother Nature.

In the summertime, everything is in bloom and is able to express itself to the fullest. The flower buds are open, the birds are chirping, everything is very active and expressive.

This makes it a wonderful time to tap into your inner self and express it outwards for all of the world to see. Instead of hibernating, you are encouraged to get out into the world and take action in the direction that feels the best.

While it is still at time to reflect, your reflections can lead to positive actions that help you to move forward and make progress in whatever direction you choose.

Even though the Northern and Southern Hemispheres are receiving a different expressions of this energy, they both exist in harmony with each other as well. Think of it like a yin and yang symbol.

Both energies are different, but together they make a whole. In the Northern Hemisphere the energy has shifted to a more feminine, inward state, and in the Southern Hemisphere the energy is more masculine and outward, but both of these energies work in sync with one another.

The December Solstice is the perfect time to check in with your soul and to really take responsibility for the direction of your life.

In 2017 in particular, it is going to be really important to take things slow and to not put too much on your plate at this time.

Use this Solstice energy to take some downtime, and to really feel the calling of your heart.

When you take time to pause and tune in to your inner state, life becomes more fluid and far more grounded, and this is the exact energy we need as we venture into the new cycle.

Here are suggestions for how you can celebrate the summer or winter solstice, depending on where you live:

The Winter Solstice celebrates the longest hours of darkness or the rebirth of the Sun and is believed to hold a powerful energy for regeneration, renewal and self-reflection.

In Pagan times the Winter Solstice was referred to as Yule and was a celebration of the Goddess (Moon) energy. It was believed that on this day, the Moon would give birth to the Sun.

Because of this, many celebrated Yule as a day where light reigned over darkness and believed it was a sign of good things to come.

Just like the Summer Solstice, the Winter Solstice was also celebrated with fire however, while the Summer Solstice was more about fertility, the Winter Solstice was honoured as a time of birth or the start of a new cycle.

Aries | Taurus | Gemini | Cancer | Leo | Virgo | Libra | Scorpio | Sagittarius | Capricorn | Aquarius | Pisces

Astrology Overview for December 18-24, 2017

The week begins with a New Moon in the sign of Sagittarius but this links with both Uranus and also Saturn. Anything we been working on around our knowledge, or which has required a steady progressive approach to assimilating information, or expanding our activities can come to fruition brilliantly in the next month.

Uranus is also going to be forging a really favourable link to Venus or this week, perfect for the festive whirl, and can lead to some spontaneous developments romantically. If you’re single joining in with the celebrations can certainly lead to some surprise developments, even if it is just a quick clinch under the mistletoe.

Of course Mercury has been tracking backwards in the sign of Sagittarius 3rd December, and this continues apace this week, so Friday when the retrograde ends. With the Sun merging with Saturn all week, across to zodiac signs first in Sagittarius and then from Wednesday in Capricorn, albeit, for a few days on a disassociate basis, the structure that Saturn demands, could lead to a little bit of a lowering of physical vitality. If you are travelling in the first part of the week do be extra careful to ensure that everything is meticulously planned, and in the last half of the week, as more traditional responsibilities and obligations close in, on the back of the Sun’s relocation into Capricorn on Friday, we need to ensure all we should have got completed before the holiday, is indeed complete.

However there is a delightful link between Mars and Neptune in the last couple of days of this week, and this reminds us all to try to find ways to embrace the true meaning of Christmas and help those who are less fortunate than ourselves. Any kind of generous gesture, or good deed will kindle its own reward. For more information or to watch your zodiac sign Weekly Video forecast or join me at Free Daily, Weekly and Monthly Horoscopes

Aries | Taurus | Gemini | Cancer | Leo | Virgo | Libra | Scorpio | Sagittarius | Capricorn | Aquarius | Pisces

Astrology Overview for December 11-17, 2017

The week begins with energies of last week’s Quarter Moon, and the move of Mars into Scorpio still very much to the fore. This Quarter Moon can see is grappling with a desire to balance our independence with the demands of other people. Obviously this is a time of the year when sacrifice is a big part of the equation, and around our time if nothing else. So we may all find ourselves juggling our resources on the back of this.

Mars however moving into its home zone a Scorpio, is very exciting, not least because by the end of the year is going to be merging brilliantly with Jupiter and this combination can bring to bear a great deal of passion, persuasion, and the chance to transform areas of our situations that are ripe for it.

However Venus is squaring up with Neptune on Monday and Tuesday, running over from last week, so confusion around relationships is still possible, and in addition Mercury continues to retrace its steps and combines with the advancing Sun in Sagittarius on Tuesday and Wednesday. All of this suggest that we should try to avoid jumping to conclusions.

More positively, a wonderful alliance between Venus and Mercury from Thursday onwards can bring some real light and more social possibilities to bear, and also Saturn enters its last whole week in the sign of Sagittarius before it moves into its home zone of Capricorn next week for the next 2 1/2 years.

With Mercury in retrograde in Sagittarius facts and figures are still going to be the key, so if there are any discussions in our situations to do with contracts, business, or travel, for we are on the move personally we need to make sure that everything is very closely monitored to avoid any mishaps or glitches. Vedic Astrology for December: How ‘Spiritual Knots’ and Mercury Retrograde Could Affect You

vedic astrology May 2015

December is a significant month of introspection, letting go, and renewal. Three planets transit the intense but transformative degrees of gandanta, giving opportunities for rebirth. Mercury goes retrograde signifying a time of review and a need for discernment. The Sun joins Saturn in Sagittarius, creating openings to rectify old imbalances of power within ourselves and in our relationships with others. And Venus and Mars exchange signs this month, causing us to feel more creative and passionate. Finally, kala sarpa yoga occurs two weeks in December, demanding high ethics, focus, and commitment to our purpose in life.

Three major planets, Mercury, Sun, and Venus, travel the pivotal gandanta degrees, at the junction between the signs of Scorpio and Sagittarius in December. Gandanta means a “spiritual knot,” and when planets pass through the cusp of a water sign to a fire sign, we are given opportunities for deeper soul growth and increased self-awareness.  As we go through deep change, we can feel emptiness or even doubt as we dismantle the old ways. We are benefited by moving through these energies with grace, non-resistance, and an open heart.

Mercury, planet of communications, speech, and travel, goes retrograde from December 3 until December 22, 2017. Mercury will begin its retrograde transit at 4 degrees Sagittarius and will move back a sign to 19 degrees Scorpio before turning direct on December 22. The more critical days are around December 9 and 10 when Mercury is at gandanta – 0 degrees Sagittarius and 29 degrees Scorpio. Also, Mercury will be combust the Sun from December 11 to 16, which weakens our ability to be heard by others. This is an especially critical time to be extra clear and precise with all types of communications. Travel plans can change. Back up your data and take note of your electronic equipment and vehicles.

At the beginning of December, the Sun transits the water sign of Scorpio, but shifts to the fire sign of Sagittarius on December 15, 2017. This is a pivotal transit of the Sun as it moves through the gandanta junctures of Scorpio/Sagittarius. The more sensitive days are December 14 through December 16. This transit of the Sun (indicator of the soul) could bring a type of identity crisis, as we break through long-held fears and patterns, and embrace a new and more powerful way of being. Career issues could surface as we want uplifting work that honors and expresses our greatest talents and gifts.

As the Sun begins its transit through the sign of Sagittarius, it first travels through Mula nakshatra from December 15 to 28, 2017, which is the nakshatra that includes the Galactic Center of the universe. Mula means “the root” and we want to go very deep and “get to the root” of things the last few weeks of December. We may find it easier to shift our attention from a more material focus into a higher, all-encompassing consciousness.

The deity connected to Mula nakshatra is Nirriti, the goddess of destruction (of ego). Nirriti is said to be both a goddess of misfortune, as well as a remover of misfortune. You can honor Nirriti through virtuous living, generosity, and practicing ahimsa (non-violence). As the Sun moves through Mula nakshatra, this period can be a catalyst for deeper soul connections and renewal. This is a period for profound self-examination.

The Sun joins Saturn as it moves into the sign of Sagittarius from December 15, 2017 until January 14, 2018. Saturn will be especially close to the Sun – called combustion, from December 15 to 27, and will exactly conjunct Saturn at 6 degrees Sagittarius on December 21. Combustion means the integrity of the planet is compromised. We can experience issues with self-discipline, patience, and finding our truth. Power struggles occur. We struggle between what society or others demands of us versus our desire for individual self-expression. We may see this express politically as well, in our desire for equality.

Mars, planet of courage, assertiveness, and passion, transits Libra the entire month of December, from November 29, 2017 to January 16, 2018. Mars joins benefic Jupiter in Libra which helps to protect ambitious and assertive Mars.

Venus, planet of relationships, love, and healing, transits the sign of Scorpio from November 26 to December 20, 2017. Venus transits the intense gandanta degrees of Scorpio/Sagittarius on December 19 and 20, pushing us to now resolve old beliefs and heartache in our relationships. Be especially compassionate, authentic, and forgiving during this time and you may help yourself and others re-define what love is.

A mutual exchange occurs with Mars in Venus’ sign of Libra and Venus in Mars’ sign of Scorpio, from November 29 to December 20, 2017. This combination amplifies the energies of Mars and Venus creating a “passionate wiring” and increased creative energy. You may feel more enlivened and vital. If you like to express yourself artistically, this is a great time for that.

Kala sarpa yoga begins December 7 through December 21, 2017, with all the planets sandwiched between the nodes of the Moon, Rahu and Ketu. This yoga is sometimes called “the snake of time” and requires that we respond to life with the highest of ethics and morals or we will suffer. Sometimes we can feel less free will and ability to move forward with this combination. Sudden or unexpected events that are out of our control might occur during kala sarpa yoga. If you respond with kindness, respect, and humility, you’ll grow spiritually.

The holidays are traditionally a time where we find that a flurry of year-end activities and social connecting can be both celebratory and challenging. Be aware of the intensely transformative astrology that is informing all the things you do during this time and make the most of the rest of 2017 while calling in the best of 2018. I wish you all the best!

Your Horoscope and Astrology Overview for December 04-10, 2017

Aries | Taurus | Gemini | Cancer | Leo | Virgo | Libra | Scorpio | Sagittarius | Capricorn | Aquarius | Pisces

Astrology Overview for December 04-10, 2017

The week begins with Mercury inverting in the sign of Sagittarius. This retrograde is going to last until the 22nd December. Now obviously Mercury governs communication, distribution, transport, travel, technology, text messages, emails and so on. And all these areas are potentially ones which can be affected by this. However it is important to see that Mercury’s retrograde can also be an opportunity to attend to any part of our situation which is not running as smoothly as we would like. So a chance to work hard on improving things. What we can’t change is that the retrograde is going to coincide with the run-up to Christmas, a busy time and one when many of us will be sending Christmas cards and gifts through the post, or making travel plans, or actually heading off to see friends or relatives or enjoying some winter sun or snow. So to minimise the potential for glitches around these, close attention is needed to all these areas.

Furthermore this week begins with the Full Moon in Gemini, which squares to Neptune planet of dreams but also of confusion, located in Pisces. For the first half of this week but also for the next two weeks, this is going to create a heightened sensitivity around all communications, and the potential for distortion. Along with Mercury’s retrograde, and also Venus squaring with Neptune by the end of this week, an enormous amount of effort is going to be required by us all to maintain a sense of clarity in all our human interactions.

Fortunately the first half of this week does see Mercury still combining with Saturn. Now, this may still have some implications especially if something legalistic or contractual comes under greater scrutiny, and also if we are trying to buy and sell anything but it is absolutely vital to read the small print.

Saturday also sees Mars move into one of its two home zones, of Scorpio. Clearly Mars here really comes to life and is very passionate, and will provide an enormous amount of extra drive. This can also add a greater desire to get beyond the more superficial layers of life and to embrace a deeper meaning, and particularly in close relationships. Greater sensuality is possible in the following six weeks too.

Astrology Overview for Nov 27-Dec 03, 2017

The week begins with with the power of last week’s Quarter Moon in Pisces still very much to the fore. It will be all too easy for us to get things slightly out of proportion, or over blow our reactions to situations we might ordinarily shrug off. The best way to avoid this is by going back to facts and figures, and with Mercury combining with Saturn we are given an opportunity to do this. This combination is going to go on through to the end of week one of December but is brilliant for problem solving, learning new skills, or grappling with philosophical or intellectual interests.

Uranus is also set to be a major player this week, forging as it does a fantastic angle to Mercury and Saturn, but also in opposition to Mars. The first of these influences asks us to think outside the box, and to be open to new and innovative ideas. This is pushing us to find fresh solutions, not just walk along the well beaten track. The second of these two influences which is ironically in the second half of this week, is quite a lot more challenging, for Mars is in detriment in the sign of Libra, and suggests that there can be some sparky encounters – should we perceive anyone to be limiting our freedom or not being particularly fair around any kind of relationship issue.

However with the general vibe progressive and outgoing this week with the Sun and Mercury in Sagittarius, things can be fluid, and an openness to this can be helpful. But with also Venus and Jupiter in the 8th solar house of Scorpio for the first time in 12 years, a simmering passion is going to be resonating just beneath the surface.
