Astrology Overview for November 02-08, 2020

Mercury does indeed go direct in Libra on Tuesday, something we can all celebrate but important to remember, that the journey of the retrograde began in the sign of Scorpio, mid October, but the shadow period began on the 27th September. Then Mercury reversed into Libra on the 28th of October, goes forwards this week but doesn’t return to Scorpio until next week nor emerge from Shadow until the 19th of November.

Notice a theme through this whole situation? Poor testing regimes, muddled and mixed messaging from Governments regarding safeguarding, conspiracy theories taking even greater hold, chaotic changing travel rules = increase in Covid infections.

And even though Mercury goes forwards it remains in a tense right angle to Saturn in the authoritative Capricorn and see rules tightening. This will see libertarians assert that Governments are being overbearing and anti democratic, the quieter majority will be fed up, but grudgingly accepting of the need to protect. Track and Trace in the UK has been a miserable failure, another Mercury influenced issue, and this has been the third Water Sign Retrograde (with some Air Gemini and now Libra component) of the year, which has lead to a confusion, wild claims of efficacy followed by obvious failures.

With Jupiter tightly close to Pluto all week, death rates will likely remain high, but the damage has been done further back by Mars’ tense right angle to the posse in Capricorn, and it’s own Retrograde, which continues to next week. This has seen many people reckless, defiant, rebellious. Well, now we have the outcome for all of that. The thing that defines Covid is not the death rate which is of course shocking but just how infectious it is. With my Rheumatoid Arthritis we have had to be really careful, but folks have cast me dumbfounded looks that I would wear a mask. That has been such a lot of personal attitudes that have driven it’s spread, with a fantastic naivety of how easily it spreads.

BUT there is hope at the end of this week, and this latest stage of this pandemic, and it comes in the guise of the Sun’s Trine to Neptune, which encourages us to be as caring as possible to those who are less fortunate. Isolation remains the biggest threat to person-kind with our without Covid so the more we can stay in touch the better. Vedic Astrology Report for November 2020: Sudden Shifts and New Beginnings

vedic astrology May 2015

By Debra Infante

November is a month of powerful astrological activity and shifting energies in our world, especially during these last two months of 2020. Mercury and Mars both retrograde at the beginning of the month, go direct. Venus leaves its sign of debility in mid-November. Jupiter moves to Capricorn its sign of debility on November 20, where it joins Saturn, setting up a rare, major conjunction. Finally on November 30, 2020, we experience a lunar eclipse which starts the fall eclipse season.

Mercury, planet of communications and travel, goes direct at 1 degree Libra on November 3, 2020, (US Presidential Election Day), having been retrograde since October 13. As Mercury shifts direction on Election Day, we hope there won’t be any technical or computer glitches, so double-check your ballot if you are voting that day. Mercury also rules the mail, so let’s see if any issues arise around mail-in ballots being counted. As Mercury begins direct motion, we slowly start to experience greater clarity, discernment, and ease in our communications and business transactions.

On November 13, 2020, Mars, planet of action, energy, and force, goes direct at 21 degrees Pisces, having been retrograde for two months, since September 9. But during the first two weeks of November, when Mars is still retrograde, we can experience reversals, lack of direction, along with built up tensions, frustrations, and even misdirected anger. Passive-aggressive energies can occur during retrograde Mars periods. We feel powerless or want to avoid our true feelings. Find proper outlets for the build-up of tension, with physical activities such as yoga, tai chi, or long hikes in nature, along with mindfulness or meditation practices.

Our energies slowly begin to move forward after November 13 as Mars goes direct. We feel more energized, vital, determined, and enthusiastic. It is a good time to resolve any miscommunications or arguments that occurred in the past two months. Assess what you have learned, come to new understandings, and carefully strategize, so you can achieve your goals. We want to make a more positive, uplifting impact on the world as Mars goes direct.

Venus, planet of relationships, healing and finance, transits Virgo, its weaker sign, the first half of the month. As Virgo is a service-oriented sign, this is an excellent period to donate your time to worthy causes, which gives us purpose. But in matters of the heart, Venus in Virgo is kind, but also wants perfection, so watch for over-criticizing those close to you. On November 14, 2020 Venus is at 27 degrees Virgo, its exact degree of debility.

On November 16, Venus moves to its own sign of Libra, staying there until December 10, 2020. Venus is happy here and quite artistic, so this is a positive time to explore your creativity. With Venus in Libra we are learning to create harmony and balance, especially in relationships. Venus will be in Libra during the Thanksgiving holiday in the US, so especially this year, be grateful for all you have, and appreciate family members and friends who surround you.

Jupiter shifts from its own sign of Sagittarius on November 20, 2020, and begins its new transit through the Saturn-ruled sign of Capricorn, its sign of debility, until April 5, 2021. Jupiter will again move back to Capricorn for a brief stint from September 15, 2021 until November 20, 2021. Jupiter rules prosperity, financial markets, spirituality, optimism, dharma, faith, law, the court system, and education. We may see some restriction or delays in these areas.  Find activities that generate hope and purpose and expand your view of the sacredness in all life. Jupiter in Capricorn is a good time to be more dedicated to your spiritual practice.  Let go of apathy.

Jupiter joins Saturn in Capricorn, a no-nonsense, practical, earth sign. Later in December 2020, we experience the exact conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, a major event that occurs every 20 years.  Jupiter, planet of prosperity and expansion, now travels with Saturn, planet of responsibility and hard work. For greater success its best to be realistic, committed, kind, self-responsible, and patient.

At the end of November the fall eclipse season begins, with a lunar eclipse on November 30, 2020 occurring at 14 degrees Taurus at 2:29 AM MST in the nakshatra of Rohini. The second eclipse of the pair is a total solar eclipse on December 14, 2020.

The lunar eclipse on November 30 in the sign of material wealth (Taurus) indicates a focus on financial security, as we evaluate our true values, both personally and globally.  Where do we place our attention and energy? What is essential to our well-being? This eclipse can reveal the depth of our attachment to the material realms. This eclipse may also help us find new, alternative ways to generate income, as some of the old ways are changing. Also, Taurus is an earth sign, so this eclipse may reveal the true state of the climate crisis and ways to connect and be in balance with nature.

Rohini nakshatra connected to this eclipse also relates to financial dealings, commerce, and the physical world. But Rohini is quite a creative and fertile nakshatra, and has strong family values. This eclipse carries a strong need to open to our creative potential in all areas of our life. On the challenging side, issues of jealousy and possessiveness may create problems around this eclipse, as we consider shared resources.

As the Moon and Rahu are both exalted in Taurus during this November lunar eclipse, it is extra potent, and life may speed up or amplify.  Eclipses can bring change, sudden shifts, new beginnings, and increased awareness, as things unknown to us are now revealed. In general, eclipses are days for spiritual initiation where our spiritual path can be illuminated.

Astrology Overview for Oct 26-Nov 01, 2020

All week Jupiter and Pluto are very closely aligned. Jupiter governs international affairs, borders, trading, growth, philosophies and higher principles. Next to Pluto the zodiac’s perhaps most ruthless agent , and especially with Jupiter in its fall, a less than helpful event which occurs every 12 years with the planets transit through the sign of Capricorn, the growth sadly this year, has not just been in the stock market, but loss of life.

One of the things that seems to have characterised the Covid 19 outbreak is the propagation of beliefs. But this virus can’t necessarily be measured only in terms of how many people it kills (which has been tragic and heart-breaking) but in how relentlessly infectious it is. So the growth of Jupiter has been the growth of the numbers getting it, and being a truly world event, few have been immune from its impact but that health wise, freedom of movement wise (very Jupitarian) but also financially wise too.

Because Mars has been angling in such a hostile way to the posse of planets in Capricorn (in Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn) since the end of July, and then been in retrograde, then tangled with the New Moon in Libra we have a perfect storm of outspoken protest, counter viewpoints being exchange, fake news, conspiracy theories etc etc and this has been fed in part by a largely unsupervised social media and poor leadership in many countries. All this is likely to reach a crescendo at this time, however as Mercury reverses into, and Venus advances to the sign of Libra we do have an opportunity to listen, understand and exchange ideas with more balance. The air element which governs Libra is about communication and finding a greater sense of equilibrium can be good for us all.

But the second half of the week does see strict Saturn in a limiting square with Mercury. In terms of the overall zodiac this emphasises the 7th/10th House Axis, suggesting that whilst diplomacy may work well for some, others of us may still encounter an overbearing or rather more officious person that we find hard to take.

The second half of the week also sees the Sun opposite Uranus, bring the potential for surprises, sparks, ignition, friction, resistance to change or sudden changes and separations occurring. As ever in this turbulent year, patience really will be a virtue. There may be some things that trigger us that we feel we most react to, whilst others may be better met by turning the other cheek.

This aspect encapsulates the week’s most notable event, the Blue Moon of Saturday. The second Full Moon of October, this brings a restless vibe to bear, and things that have been stuck, hidden, resistant or bogged down can suddenly need urgent attention. Especially important will be the need to manage our resources, with sudden costs or drops in revenue possible, but still the likelihood is that things that we can no longer resist will need tackling either for us as individuals or for us all collectively. Why Matchmakers Rely on Astrology

For many professional matchmakers, finding compatible couples goes beyond simple chemistry. In fact, many pros rely on astrology to determine which matches are ideal. By using a birth chart and each person’s zodiac sign, it’s possible to develop a lasting partnership that’s built on natural tendencies and compatibility ratings.

Each partnership built on the principle of astrology requires careful consideration, however. It also goes beyond which zodiac signs are seen as the most compatible and which tend to butt heads. Here’s how matchmakers use zodiac energy to connect couples.

It starts with your birth chart.

The astrological birth chart is a key component of determining which partnerships will and won’t work. For instance, just because Gemini and Virgo or Pisces signs aren’t normally seen as a good fit, matchmakers will also use rising signs and ascendant knowledge to determine which astrological houses add up. Of course, chemistry still depends on physical appearance to a degree. However, cosmic chemistry relies on astrology houses and principles to dig much deeper and find stronger soul bonds. Different interpretations of rising signs, horoscopes, and the planets can have a profound impact on which matches are seemingly meant to be.

Your houses matter, too.

Did you know that there are 12 houses of astrology? Each house can impact your cosmic chemistry in unique ways.

The first house is essentially your spiritual first impression. The second house details your material goods and possessions as well as personal resources. While a Taurus may interpret self-care and self-esteem as buying sleek cocktail dresses for women, a Libra may prefer less-material resources depending on their second house.

The third house defines how we communicate with the world around us. When different planets pass through the third house, it can impact our perception of ourselves and those around us. The third house is highly prized in matchmaking. The fourth house is the base of the birth chart. Through this house system, you’ll explore roots and beginnings.

The fifth house is essential for your creativity and expressions of joy. The sixth house determines how you serve the world. Through the sixth house, you’ll explore concepts of legacy and service. The seventh house looks at the nuances of intimate relationships. For this reason, the seventh house is also critical for smart matchmaking.

The eighth house is the ruler of almost all energy and is represented by Scorpio. Many individuals have several planets in the eighth house and may be deeply interested in mysticism and meanings. The ninth house denotes personal evolution and spiritual paradigms. The tenth house is the house of the Midheaven. Your Midheaven determines your true purpose. Many matchmakers rely on the Midheaven and tenth house to assess compatibility.

The eleventh house is the house of friendship and determines compatibility for healthy, friendly relationships. The twelfth house is the end of the zodiac. Many feel the twelfth house represents a lot of unknowns, but this area of the chart is a key component of imagination and influences many areas of life and personal growth.

Matchmakers use a variety of astrological factors.

From your birth time to your specific area of the chart and your immediate environment, the zodiac wheel can be a key component of finding true love affairs. Your astrology chart can determine whether you rely on material possessions, experiences like long-distance travel, or social groups. It can influence your morals, your outlook on karma, and how you navigate business partnerships. Your sun sign and star compatibility can influence your immediate environment and different planets like Neptune, Uranus, and Venus can leave a mark on each area of your life. If you’re interested in how your natal chart can influence your love life, you should schedule a meeting with a qualified matchmaker. This will help you learn more about ascendant and descendant signs, how you operate at your highest point, and what causes self-undoing. This can help you find true love and a happy ending.

Astrology Overview for October 19-25, 2020

What a week is in store? A perfect storm of planetary energies can cause Covid to reach a new peak and frustration and also rule breaking are both likely to be high. The lack of clear strategy that has been a problem across many countries in dealing with the crisis is going to come to roost, as bellicose words are now going to be showed to be rather empty.

With Mercury challenged all week not just by its Retrograde but the erratic and rebellious vibes of Uranus, communications can have a jagged edge for sure. Finding consensus can also prove difficult as so many people take a very polarised view of situations. Still as the Sun powers into Scorpio on Thursday and escapes the restrictive vibe of Saturn, we are given a wonderful opportunity to dig deep within ourselves and find solutions to our own response to the crisis.

However the numbers of fatalities may increase in this next four weeks, before a more enlightened and joined up response emerges mid way though November. Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio and Libra: Aligning Shared Values

By Carmen Di Luccio | Nexus Newsfeed.com

Mercury begins another retrograde process on October 13th/14th  which will last until Nov 3rd/4th. This is when it appears to be moving backwards from our earth based vantage point due to the positioning of the Earth and Mercury in each of their orbits around the Sun. This one is occurring primarily in Scorpio and partially in Libra.

In the weeks (and especially days) leading up to it, it can already start to feel like a retrograde and some of its themes can get seeded. This happens because Mercury slows down (again from our vantage point) and travels in the part of sky it will be returning to after the retrograde begins. This is known as the ‘pre-shadow’ period which began on September 23rd/24th.

This retrograde is happening while Mars is also retrograde which began on September 9th/10th and will last until November 13th/14th. The retrogrades of these planets along with Venus are much more significant and noticeable then those of all the other planets which have further orbits. This is because they are less frequent and are classified as ‘personal’ or ‘inner’ planets. When retrograde they are in a sign (or two signs) for a significantly extended amount of time in comparison to the signs before or after.

Both of these retrogrades reflect a period of adjustments pertaining to their own energies and those of the signs they are in. However, they are both connected as they are happening simultaneously and Mercury is in Scorpio which is a sign that is traditionally ruled by Mars. Another interesting thing is that Mercury begins this retrograde during the peak, or halfway point, of Mars Retrograde when it opposes the Sun. To learn more about this Mars retrograde, I recommend reading my article about it here.

If you have read my previous Mercury Retrograde articles, the remainder of this section and the following one are nearly the same and you can skip to the third section if you don’t want to re-read all the general themes associated with these periods. The other parts are more specific to this edition of it.

Mercury retrograde is known for the problematic effects it often has on communication technology, transactions, motor vehicles, anything with moving parts, and commuting in general. Some people even get headaches near the beginning of it. We could experience some challenges, misunderstandings, and errors around our communications, numbers/details, and commerce, as well as changes, cancellations, or delays in our schedules.

Sometimes these issues could occur when we are excessively analytical without tuning into our internal guidance. Depending on how we flow with it and other variables, we may not always experience these surface level inconveniences, or they could just be minor irritants.

Mercury Retrograde can also be a good time to revisit or redo tasks, projects, ideas, or anything else that was initiated in the past. It can give us a different perspective or shift in thinking that can help us to approach these things in ways we wouldn’t have done before. This may also be a period of reconnecting with old friends, family, lovers, or others we haven’t seen in a while. When we reconnect with people during a retrograde, it can help to facilitate a shift in the relationship. In some cases, issues from the past can come up which may need to be hashed out.

The Deeper Purpose of Mercury Retrograde

Ultimately, Mercury Retrograde is a time for us to recalibrate and adjust specific areas of our lives as well as how we apply our minds towards these issues. It is a period in which we may receive important insights and see things in a new light. In most cases, it can be mildly transformational, but in some cases it can facilitate more major transformations depending on how it corresponds to your personal astrological chart.

During and following the retrograde, certain areas of our lives can go through changes or shifts, or we can experience a re-orientation of some sort which influences how we proceed over the coming months or in some cases, it can have a more long-term significance. In the three weeks afterwards, known as the ‘post-shadow’ period, we move forward with some sort of new awareness, adjustment, as well as new ideas and thoughts that have been seeded which will develop and become more defined as time progresses.

Certain things that have come up specifically in the two weeks leading up to the start of the retrograde could determine where this energy could play out. It is also possible that there could have been changes or developments at that time which may go through a sorting-out process or shift in dynamics during the actual retrograde and in the two weeks following. There could be unknown variables, either positive or negative, that were either unseen or hadn’t been conceived yet, which may become apparent over the coming month.

The sign(s) and element(s) in which Mercury retrograde travels in shows the energy we are re-orienting ourselves with. More importantly, if you are familiar with your natal astrology chart, then your house(s) or any planetary placements being affected will show more specifically which areas of life you will be experiencing its energy in. For the astrologically literate, it begins at 11’40 degrees of Scorpio and will retrograde back to 25’54 degrees of Libra before turning forward again.

Occurring Mostly In Scorpio & Partially In Libra,  The Final of a Series In Water Signs

Mercury Retrograde always happens in primarily one element for 1-2 years. This is the sixth and final one of a series occurring in water signs which began in early 2019. The water element is about emotion, feelings, sensitivity, compassion, intuition, and fluidity. This period is about re-aligning ourselves with these qualities and expressing them in new or revamped ways.

With this retrograde primarily in Scorpio, we may experience or process re-orientations, adjustments, developments, circumstances, or reflect on themes connected to shadows, fears, sexuality, mysteries,  obsessions, esoteric practices, use of power, alchemy, conspiracies, taboo subjects, death, suspicions, secrets, investigating, research, depth, regeneration, or the pursuit of mastery. Psychotherapy, psychology, astrology, tarot, and wicca, are examples of practices that may come up at this time.

This can be a great period to do any sort of ‘shadow work’ to help us on our path to achieving wholeness and greater self-awareness. Scorpio is about going deep which can be a key to facilitate emotional healing at this time. Sometimes we encounter crisis to help to push us towards some sort of transformation and this can be one of the ways this retrograde may be experienced.

Scorpio is also associated with debt, taxes, investments, credit, inheritance, loans, mortgages, and anything to do with shared or other people’s resources. In our relationships or other types of partnerships, themes around shared values or shared worth may also come up.

Scorpio can also be about purging and releasing. This can play out when it comes to our physical belongings or obligations. Emotionally or psychologically, it could have to do with overcoming negative patterns or attachments through deep understanding or discovering and healing the root cause. When it comes to our physical body, it could be about cleansing through dietary changes or modalities such as colon hydrotherapy, which can help with emotional healing as well.

Libra themes will also play a part in this retrograde, yet not as prominent as Scorpio. We can experience re-orientations around relationships, relating, diplomacy, and finding common ground. Libra is associated with balance, fairness, equality, peace, harmony, compromising, looking at different sides, and consideration of others. Themes connected to aesthetics, design, art, and creativity may also play out.

Mercury Retrograde Significant Dates

Below are some of the dates and information for some of the major astrological configurations during this retrograde.

*The dates below are based on the Americas. The further East you are located, you may need to consider it as the next day.

Oct 13th/14th Mercury Retrograde Begins at 1:05am Universal Time During Peak of Mars Retrograde. Jupiter is also sextile Neptune

The common Mercury retrograde themes and complications may come up strongly at this time and in recent days leading up to this. You may get some sort of indication of how it may be playing out for you over the next month based on how you feel or what transpires. It’s possible that certain things that happen at this time, which may seem insignificant, can somehow be connected to how this retrograde process will affect you.

This is the peak of Mars retrograde as it opposes the Sun. The potentials of frustrations, conflicts, and fights will be higher however we may also feel this within ourselves. Generally speaking, the Mars retrograde period is a time to help facilitate a shift in how we apply ourselves as well as how we express assertion, action, anger, aggression, or sexuality. These themes can come up more strongly during this period.

Jupiter is in a sextile with Neptune for much of October, but peaks in the days surrounding Mercury beginning its retrograde. This can help to soften the potential of intensity and conflicts that can happen at this time. It can be expansive, explorative, educational, philosophical, and ambitious in a creative, artistic, spiritual, mystical, idealistic, or compassionate way. With Jupiter being in the Earth sign of Capricorn, many people can experience this around ambitions, career, business, or practical matters. This energy can also be good for visual media efforts. Capricorn can help bring groundedness, practicality, and realism to this idealistic combination of these planets.

Oct 19th/20th Mercury Retrograde Opposite Uranus, Mars Square Jupiter, Venus Trine Jupiter

This is a period in which we may have to be more flexible as the potentials of changes and disruptions can be more strongly at this time. We may have to contend with surprises, inconsistencies, or impulsiveness which may be an inconvenience. The need to break free or separate from something may come up. Rebellious communication can also occur and it can be harder to focus. We should keep in mind that we may not be seeing things clearly or thoroughly so it’s good to be cautious if possible.

We may have to change the way we think about something or take a unique approach. However, for some people this can also be one of the more insightful periods of the retrograde. This energy has been present since before the retrograde began but is stronger and more noticeable at this time.

Mars retrograde is in a square with Jupiter which could reflect conflicts around beliefs, opinions, judgements, or perspectives. This can also contribute to scatteredness or excessiveness. Venus is in a trine with Jupiter (stronger earlier in the day) which can reflect optimism, expansiveness, growth, or fortunate circumstances around relations, love, financial matters, values, pleasures, or anything aesthetic related.

Oct 24th-26th Mercury Retrograde Conjunct the Sun (Inferior Conjunction)

This is the halfway point of Mercury retrograde, known as the ‘inferior conjunction,’ which is when it returns to the Sun. This can be a period of increased insights, and the themes or circumstances pertaining to how this retrograde is affecting you may come up more during this period.

Complications and frustrations can also be stronger at this time depending on your circumstances or how you are applying yourself. This may also be a period of ridding yourself of certain thoughts, ideas, perceptions, old interests, expectations, or other things that are not serving you while the potential for new ones may be seeded.

Oct 31st – Nov 7th Mercury Retrograde Square Saturn as it transitions from Retrograde to Direct

This can be a time of obstacles, delays, limitations, and restrictions as Mercury squares Saturn while it is slowing down and changing motion on November 3rd. This energy can be sobering and communications can have a pessimistic tone. Issues may come up that require realism, discipline, structure, orderliness, practicality, and caution.

Nov 3rd/4th Mercury transitions from Retrograde to Direct

Mercury will slowly begin to move forward from Nov 3rd/4th  onward. The areas of our lives that have been affected by this retrograde will start to become more clear and things will fall into place more easily as we progress into the coming days and weeks, but more so after November 7th and especially after November 13th. As Mercury gradually picks up speed, we can move forward in the areas of life that have been affected. However, usually the first few days after it ends can still feel like it is retrograde as complications may occur due to Mercury’s stationary position and in this case, its square with Saturn. It’s usually best to wait until at least 3 days afterwards before finalizing decisions, agreements, etc.

In the following weeks as Mercury is in its post retrograde shadow (until November 19th), Jupiter will be in a conjunction with Pluto that entire time but peaks as Mars ends its retrograde on November 13th/14th.  This is an energy that can be further revealing of Plutonian issues of shadows, abuse, hidden matters, and darkness. The first conjunction of Jupiter-Pluto happened in late March and early April, when there was a lot of conspiracy information coming out and also widespread fear which is associated with Pluto. It can also be transformative, empowering, and a time of tremendous growth depending on what we are doing.

As Mars slowly begins to move forward following November 13th/14th, we may feel like we are ready to proceed in different ways based on what has transpired in the first half of the month. We can begin to feel more assertive, bold, courageous, and direct. Things can move along with less obstacles and challenges in comparison to the previous months.

Astrology Overview for October 12-18, 2020

We all need on to our collective celestial hats this week as incredibly tense skyscape shapes up. The Sun continues his journey through the sign of balance, Libra, and encourages us to find equilibrium. But this may prove to be in short supply as a major Cardinal T Square between the Sun, the rewinding Mars in Aries and Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn can lead to some very powerful events here on Earth. We have three competing energies, that of continuity, power, executive management and traditionality (Saturn in Capricorn) the personal freedom, initiation, enterprise and action of (Mars in Aries) and the need to work inclusively in a unilateral way (the Sun in Libra).

Cardinality is power, it likes to assert its authority and because all three signs have this Quality this creates a kind of “who will blink first” dynamic but can have some very real reverberations. In truth the stand off really starting to shape up when Mars first squared Jupiter (also in Capricorn) at the end of July, it ratcheted up from the 9th September when Mars started to Retrograde, so much of what we see this week, especially in terms of Covid, the economic ramifications and civil unrest was hatched from then. Mercury also moves from its shadow period into actual Retrograde on Wednesday in Scorpio, and will rewind further still and faces the disruptive Uranus in a tense way through to the 22nd of October (by a three degree orb or gap).

This brings an extra dimension to create misunderstandings, uncertainty, polarised views, and conflict. Still, from Monday to Thursday, Venus sparkles in a lovely Trine with Uranus and something unexpected around a relationship or business idea, can provide some uplift. Thursday does see the Libra Full Moon embracing the energies of the T Square, so the collective force of this will penetrate deep into November. The hope that can come from this, is that the more moderate energies of Libra can bring a calm to the the other charged and volatile forces at play. Now then, where’s your hat?

Astrology Overview for October 05-11, 2020

We start the week with Venus finding her feet in Virgo. As Venus governs Taurus, and is associated with the consumption of good food and wine, this transit encourages us to be a little more discriminating about what we consume. Also Venus governs relationships, and here doing our best to be supportive in practical ways, can be good. In a settled relationship a review of who does or contributes what on the domestic front can be timely. This week Venus also engages positively with Uranus, the planet of truth, discovery and restlessness. This combination asks us where we can add a spark of imagination and be more spontaneous be it around love or business or work strands.

This week also sees Mars at the centre of the action, still. It more acutely squares Pluto rather than Saturn but still the sense of restriction and frustration. Whatever we desire we need to ensure that we don’t take ruthless short cuts in order to snaffle the prize and in so doing, lose something much bigger.

Still, Mars does forge an amazing link to the North Node suggesting if we can a sense around a prevailing trend we may well be on to something and to therefore trust our hunches.

The Sun’s square to Jupiter is an under promise, over deliver kind of aspect but also can give us a bit more self belief around a personal or home based issue. With the Quarter Moon in Cancer on Saturday however, someone close to us can seem out of sorts or we may find ourselves caught in a mediator role between two people close to us. Vedic Astrology Report for October 2020: Intensity and Possibility

vedic astrology May 2015

By Debra Infante

October is a month of intensity with Mars retrograde, but it is also a month of possibility if we practice restraint and mindfulness. Two planets, Mars and Mercury are retrograde this month, so watch for delays and frustrations with our actions and communications. Jupiter influences Venus the first three weeks of the month, helping us to open our hearts. Venus transits Virgo its debilitated sign, beginning October 22, which make us more service-oriented but also more critical. A mutual exchange occurs between planetary friends, Venus and Mercury, but both have challenging aspects, requiring non-reactivity.

Mars, planet of action, courage, and assertiveness, is retrograde the whole month of October. Mars energy is now turned inward. Mars began its retrograde motion on September 9 and will be retrograde until November 13, 2020. At the beginning of October Mars transits its own sign of Aries, but a few days later, on October 3, retrogrades back into the water sign of Pisces, where it will be influenced by two malefic planets, Saturn in Capricorn, and Ketu, the south node, in Scorpio. This will add to the challenge of Mars retrograde.

The Saturn aspect on retrograde Mars creates a push/pull energy which can feel restrictive at times. Practice self-responsibility and be more patient. Focus on stable Saturn to help temper and discipline the impulsive planet Mars. Ketu trine Mars brings increased martial energies, as Ketu acts like Mars, and both are inflammatory. This means we must take our time in all activities, as the Mars/Ketu combination can be overly assertive, frustrated, and a bit accident-prone, especially when Ketu trine Mars exactly on October 10.

When Mars transits sensitive Pisces, from October 3 to December 23, 2020, we feel more vulnerable, and how we respond to life will be greatly affected by our emotions and our moods. The Mars retrograde period is good for planning, reviewing and developing strategies to apply when Mars goes direct. If any conflict arises, either internally or externally, learn how to graciously handle this stress and frustration.  How well can you forgive and let go of anger? We can feel anger when we are not seen or are unfairly treated. This is a time to access our inner courage to overcome these challenges, and find inner peace.

Jupiter, the planet of spirituality and divine grace, is very positively placed in its own sign of Sagittarius until November 20, 2020. Jupiter trines Venus, planet of love and diplomacy, while in Leo from September 27 to October 22, 2020. The exact Jupiter/Venus aspect occurs on October 19 at 25 degrees. Take pleasure in giving and sharing with others, be generous. The desire for peace and happiness grows. Maybe we can revive the belief in the power of love with this transit.

Mercury, planet of communications, rational thinking, and commerce, goes retrograde October 13, 2020 at 17 degrees Libra, and three weeks later goes direct on November 3, 2020, the US Presidential Election Day.  This is a time to finish old business. Mercury retrograde promotes more introspective activities, like writing, journaling, meditation, or retreat. We may unconsciously withhold information or miscommunications with others occur. Be clear and discerning with all types of communications, whether written or verbal. This is a good time to review plans and to research new areas of interest. You may wish to reconnect with good friends and family members that haven’t heard from you for a while.

Venus, planet of love, relationship, healing, the arts, and finance, transits its debilitated sign of Virgo from October 22 until November 16, 2020. Venus will be at 27 degrees Virgo, its exact degree of debility on November 14, 2020. Venus in Virgo wants to serve, so donating your time to those in need, or to a worthy cause are positive remedies.  Creative pursuits, like listening to music or completing art projects are also uplifting activities. Venus in the earth sign of Virgo, enjoys being in nature and supports a healthy, natural environment.

Venus transiting Virgo is also a good period to develop greater kindness, caring, and compassion in our connections with others, even those we might disagree with. Activities that open the heart help to balance Venus as it transits the mental and perfectionist sign of Virgo.  We may feel extra sensitive to the disharmony we see in our world. Environmental concerns become a more prominent theme. Venus also represents our finances, so be discerning and practical with expenses and investments.

When Venus is in Virgo, Mercury will be transiting Libra, creating a parivartana yoga, or mutual exchange, with Venus in the sign of Mercury, and Mercury in the sign of Venus. This connects these two friendly planets and may help modify some of the debility of Venus. However, both Mercury and Venus will be aspected by challenging planets. Mars and Saturn both aspect Mercury, which indicates more patience and less reactivity needed in our communications.

Venus will also be aspected by two malefic planets – Mars opposes Venus, while Rahu, the north node, trines Venus. The Mars and Rahu aspects to Venus can create an urgency or impulsivity in our connections with others. So go slow and invite authenticity and equanimity into all of your relationships and with the actions you take. Be open to any suffering or anxiety you feel which will increase your empathy, and you become more aware of others’ challenges too. This enables you to experience true compassion and an open heart.

Your Energy Astrology Forecast for October 2020

2020 has been an intense year and October could possibly be the most incendiary month of the entire year. It actually feels like Part 2 of a feminine paradigm theme that began in September.

In short, how you experience October will largely depend on where you put your focus. If you put your attention on the main masculine celestial bodies — Mars and the Sun — you’ll likely experience lots of fire and frustration.

But if you look to Venus and the moon, you’ll likely experience harmony and surprising, positive shifts.

For example, Mars spends the month squaring (having tension with) the big kahunas in Capricorn — Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn (the latter officially at the end of September). While Venus spends the month trining (harmonizing with) them.

And the Sun is opposing Uranus (the planet of surprises) at the end of the month, while Venus trines Uranus on the 10th.

It feels like Mars — and to a lesser degree the Sun — are picking fights, while Venus — and to a lesser degree the Moon — are choosing love.

We’re at a key crossroads into the Age of Aquarius. It’s time to embody the ideals of interconnection. And the planets are literally incentivizing us to move away from the old masculine approach of might makes right and tap into the new feminine paradigm of connection, compassion, and win-win.

Mars and the Sun are led by ego. Venus and the moon are led by the heart (and the sacral womb).

Watch the video above and learn how all the different aspects of this month may affect you. And let this be a month of action overreaction, of making new choices rather than following old habits.

Astrology Overview for Sep 28-Oct 04, 2020

‘Tis one might week, astrologically, with both Saturn and Pluto ending long retrogrades, which began on the 11th May and 25th April, respectively. However, the big beasts of the outer zodical jungle, continue to be in conflict with the Reversing Mars, and sparks can therefore still fly or pent up frustrations can be an issue. Nothing new there then, eh as Mars and Saturn have battled it out since the end of July.

This week also sees the Sun in Libra in a 150 Quincunx angle with Uranus, the planet of freedom. Anything linked to shared finance or shared values will also need care. It may not be a clash as such more being at cross purposes.

With the Full Moon of Thursday in Aries, being conjunct Chiron, the wounded healer. This emphasises the concept of identity. How intact is yours? How intact is mine? Well, we are all going to be asking ourselves this in the following two weeks because with the Sun in the sign of relating, Libra, where we don’t feel whole, in other words in any close tie where we feel judged, or under valued or do not feel validated, a time of reckoning is reached. With Chiron on the Moon in a Natal Chart people often give freely, but rarely get it back so this is an opportunity to realign any imbalances.

But wait, Venus, the planet of love, moves into Virgo on Saturday and this gives us all an opportunity to think about where we make sacrifices, but particularly about love, in greater detail. Then again, with the Reversing Mercury in opposition to Uranus all week sparks of attraction or irritation are possible, just which is what makes Uranus, and Astrology so compelling and exciting.
