In yoga and mindfulness, we are cultivating our own ability to recognize things as they are. In part, that recognition is to also see our own inner-awesomeness. May we learn to see in ourselves what our dog sees in us. The word Namaste means, “I acknowledge the light inside of me that’s also inside of you.” It’s an acknowledgement of our shared beauty. May we take this to heart and learn to see that light within ourselves and within everything around us.

In this digital age, there are so many ways for the Universe/God to deliver us messages — the right words or pictures exactly when we need them. It’s an exciting time to be alive. “The Invitation” by Oriah Mountain Dreamer with you in both video and written form. I hope it’s just what you need to read/hear/see. Please listen to it often to feed the passion and purpose within you.

There are some simple qualities you can take onboard to excel in all of the above. If you know someone whom you or society deems as successful and they don’t quite make the grade with the many attributes listed below, you may want to question their overall success — they may have the money and career in the bag but success in life should tick all the boxes.

When we go all in when it comes to listening, we might be surprised at what we hear. Where previous misunderstandings stood, we might instead start to hear a person’s broken heart on the other end, rather than their impression of lacking concern for you. Basically, this opens up a whole new can of wormy awesomeness because it asks us to pay attention to not only what we’re asking, but how and why. And the more presence we put into the present moment, the clearer we can hear the melody of creative creation around us, just waiting to answer the call.
