However, Vince McMahon, the Chairman, and CEO of the WWF company, as it was named before the trial with World Wide Fond, has decided to make his show a lot better than any other product on cable TV.
This era of the Professional Wrestling was named “The Attitude Era”. As a part of it, the company started to produce much more mature content as a part of both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown. Instead of previous television PG age limit for viewers, all products of WWE have become TV-14. Such feuds like Stone Cold vs Vince McMahon, The Undertaker vs Kane, Shawn Michaels vs Razor Ramon created a whole new meaning to the world of Pro Wrestling. Ratings of the show have become better than ever and at some point, Vince McMahon earned enough money to finally buy WCW. By doing so in the early 2000s, he has finally stopped the “Monday Night War” and started the “Ruthless Aggression” era.
How AEW was founded?
But how can it be connected to AEW? It’s simpler than it might seem. When WWE had no potential competitor, it was decided to produce the mediocre product for a much larger audience of viewers by giving a new age limitation to their TV Shows.
Fans call it “The PG” era of wrestling when nothing fascinating has happened ever since 2008. But in 2019 it all changed, thanks to one smart guy called Cody Rhodes. He is the son of Dusty Rhodes, the Hall of Famer of WWE. Like his dad, he decided to become a wrestler and he even participated in several events like a talent of World Wrestling Entertainment. But he has never been the World Champion. In 2017, he decides to leave the company and look for the better fortune in independent promotions. It helped him to form a vision to create the best product on the Pro Wrestling market at this moment – All Elite Wrestling.
AEW became one of the most popular wrestling promotions not only in the USA but in the whole world. The reason for that is the fact that this promotion gave wrestling fans what they have always wanted – TV-14 age limit content and good matches. It’s hard to believe that something like that happens. What is even more important, unlike promotions like TNA, AEW is airing on one of the best cable channels in the United States – TNT. What is even funnier – All Elite Wrestling has become the first wrestling TV show on this channel ever since the closure of WCW. As CBS Sports said – AEW is the first major promotion, with enough financial budget to compete with WWE in terms of product quality.

The first thing that every viewer will notice while watching AEW – it’s much riskier than the WWE program. It has almost over the edge segments, a lot of intense action and of course – superstars, who are willing to put everything on the table, just to get a shot at the title match. It is the only way for wrestlers to become a legend that lives forever in the hearts of wrestling fans all over the world.
