In this day and age, cases of extramarital affairs are something we hear of almost every day. These have given rise to divorce and polyamory. Finding that your spouse is living a double-life is heartbreaking. In most cases, the cheating spouse will give a few tell-n-tale signs consciously or unconsciously.
Statistics have shown that women do cheat as much as men and are better at hiding it. However, no matter how good one thinks they are at cheating, they are bound to get sloppy at one time.
On that note, below are a few methods you could use technology to your advantage to catch a ‘clever’ cheating spouse.
- Phone Apps
There has been a rise in the use of certain spy apps to catch your beloved one cheating. An excellent example is the iPhone spyware. This is an effective app that can be used to give you full access to messages from your spouse’s Apple device and other information that may be of interest to you.
With these apps, installation is pretty easy. They also begin collecting information as soon as they have been installed. In addition, they will give immediately send you an alert when your spouse goes somewhere that you are suspicious about.
- Spycams
Spycams have been used over the years to snoop on nannies in the house. However, they can also be used to catch a cheating spouse.
This is not to say that they will only be of help if your better-half is sleeping with your nanny. No. With the current evolution in technology, spycam manufacturers have come up with smaller cameras that are not easily visible to the naked eye. These cameras can be installed in their cars with ease and you will be able to see who they have in their cars.
Besides, you could go a step further and install a digital-tape recorder preferably under the driver’s seat for minimal chances of being discovered.
- GPS locator
We are in a digital era where we have become overly dependent on GPS. Why not take advantage and take a look at their location history. Depending on the kind of phone they use, you can maneuver through the menu and get a list of all the ‘previous’ destinations that they visited.
- Using search engines
Many people underestimate the power of search engines. Even the ‘brightest’ of all cheaters may be a bit sloppy when it comes to this.
If you share a laptop or desktop with your spouse, check their browsing history. They would be pretty dumb if they forgot to clear it.
Another blessing of search engines like Google is that, when you type in a letter, they will do an excellent job of guessing your search parameters in regards to your previous searches. Why not take advantage of this and key in every letter of the alphabet and see what pops up.
In as much as we are curious to know if our partner is cheating, spying is technically an infringement of privacy and could have serious repercussions. The above methods should only be a last resort.
