What Is My Life Purpose?

Why Am I Here and What is My Purpose?

Most people reach a point in their lives when they ask themselves the question, “What is my purpose in life?”  Sometimes this happens after a major life event, but whatever the reason which brings us to this question, it can often lead to a feeling of great frustration.

When we are struggling with the above question, most of us ‘turn inwards’, we look for guidance and an awareness of our ‘beingness.’ Yet what happens when we don’t feel as though we are receiving such guidance?

Disclaimer: The following post is simply my interpretation of Abraham’s message in the above video. I try to ‘pull out’ what I feel to be the most important points as I see them. Others may have different opinions or insights from the video and it is for everyone to decide for themselves how they wish to interpret the words which are spoken.

That Which Is You

It’s important to remember that we didn’t come into our physical bodies with everything already figured out for us.

There is nothing that is ‘nailed down’ which we are ‘supposed’ to do whilst we’re here. We came here to co-create. Often we look for guidance from others, yet this is not what we are here for!

Whilst it is indeed possible (and recommended), through meditation and quietening our minds to ‘tune in’ to our inner being and to the energy of those who were here previously ,(and still are here with us energetically and vibrationally), we need not worry and torment ourselves by wondering what our life purpose might be.

Our work is to be here and now with the dynamic, contrasting experience of that which is us. It’s allowing ourselves to find our way into the vibrational atmosphere of who we are and in finding the unique expression of ‘that which is you.’

Your Guidance System

None of us intended to come here and simply follow others. Yes, there can indeed be great value in learning from others with whom we feel in alignment, but WE are all powerful, important, specific and unique creators!

We are here to collect our own ‘data’, follow our own impulses, and to come to the realisation of our own guidance system.

None of us is here to follow anything or anyone! We are here, in this wonderful environment of potential, to choose and to follow our own choices!

Isn’t that incredibly enlightening and exciting? We don’t need anyone’s permission to DO or BE anything. We came here with free choice to create our own lives and the only one who can stop us is ourselves.

Your Purpose

This IS our purpose, to sort and sift and find out what delights us and to decide for ourselves what it is which we want. There is nothing we are ‘supposed to do’, and we should not feel any pressure to Do or to follow anyone or anything. Meditating and following our impulses is a great way to help us sort and sift.

This of course, as Abraham points out, requires a willingness to accept the importance of who we are!

Satisfaction joy, success, all the things we are looking for come from only one place,

“the carving out of personal intention and the moving in the direction of that. There you will find all that is. And all that is, is the diverse energy that relishes every new advancement or piece of evolution that you discover”.
